I was a little hesitant after reading some negative reviews, but the entire staff team was helpful, charismatic, and explained every step to remove my impacted wisdom tooth.

Went in this morning to have all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted. I’ve never had a tooth pulled, I was honestly terrified. The staff was absolutely amazing. Very sweet and comforting. Dr. Kim was up front with everything. Even potential risks. This man knocked me out and took out all 4 of my impacted teeth in less than an hour. I’m very thankful for him and his wonderful staff for making this a good experience for me. Limited pain and I can deal with that. Thank you all so very much!

The staff was friendly, on-point, and efficient. The facility was very clean and cozy, and Dr. Kim was friendly and professional, and explained what was happening, and what was needed to remedy the issue. The procedure was done in a very professional and efficient manner that you can only get from a Doctor with many years of experience in these matters. I can't say enough about how great the experience was compared to what it could have been. I would very strongly recommend Dr. Kim and his staff, they are all very good at what they do.

Dr Kim extracted all 4 of my wisdom teeth. Very knowledgeable about anything that would cause potential complications and very forward about any risks involved! In my book, that shows his experience in the field. Every person in his office is nice, professional, and straight to business. They also called me 6hr after surgery to check in on me and make sure bleeding stopped and pain was manageable. Still in recovery at typing but couldn’t recommend this office and higher.

I was nervous after reading some of the not so good reviews. But I went and had two wisdom teeth pulled and everyone their was very nice. I had no problem at all. When they took me into the room for surgery it seem like clock work. Everyone was ready and was in recovery in no time at all. I would recommend this doctor to anyone for surgery. No rudeness at all.

I been to Dr Kim a long time ago in troy and just recently to get 2 wisdom teeth out in the Greenville office. I was beyond happy with my visit. He is very professional and I feel like he takes his job very seriously! I was also very happy with his staff. The people who put me under anesthesia ect were all so kind and gentle. The lady who walked me out to my car was super kind and called an hr later to check on me. The girls at the front desk were very nice in person and on the phone.
I would go back to Dr kim if I needed to and I would recommend him to anyone.

Recently had my wisdom teeth removed at the Troy location by Dr. Kim. I was somewhat nervous going in, but The staff as well as Dr. Kim did an amazing job. I could not have been more pleased with the outcome and I would HIGHLY recommend everyone to go here for your work. Thanks again Dr. and the nursing staff for my making my experience as good as it could possibly be!

Dr Kim and his whole staff was very professional! I went in to get 4 wisdom teeth removed. They wasted no time at all and started the process right away. Dr Kim said the whole process would take an hour to an hour and a half and he was done and I was sitting in the recovery room after 35 minutes! All in all he did a wonderful job I was very happy!

I have been to Dr Kim twice for multiple teeth extractions including wisdom teeth and molars. His staff was great and he is a get down to business type of guy. If you want an entertainer thats not this office. If you want virtually painfree experience and actual aftercare support. This is it. I had iv sedation and they all swooped in put on all protective bibs and covers started iv. He came in and after answering a couple questions i was out. Woke up alone with stuffing and place was spotless again. I had a couple difficult teeth but there was still no real pain. I only used pain relief at home for right after novacaine wore off. I lived in Cincy and still came back i was so comfortable with them.

In February-March 1994, I had two top wisdom teeth taken out and a tooth uncovered that was in the roof of my mouth. To help me relax, they gave me Nitrous Oxide and IV sedation. This office treated me kindly, and with compassion, and would recommend this office for dental surgery.

I am 18 years old who just has her wisdom teeth removed. And I think that Dr.Kim and his staff do care about the patient and try to the best in their power to get you to calm down I have one tell me to stop looking so scared and they were willing to answer all my questions and they even willing to laugh will me. I know now that if I need to have anything else done I will be going to Dr.Kim.

Very knowledgeable, when he first started out. He took my wisdom teeth out. I was so impressed and comfortable, I had my special challenged child to see him to remove her wisdom teeth. Very satisfied! !!! I recommend him.

I would not let anyone else extract a tooth but him. I've gone to him for 35 years and never received anything but the very best of care so ignore the negative reviews!

I was referred to Dr. Kim to have a bad wisdom tooth removed. Having never experienced an extraction, I was a little nervous. The office/reception staff was very helpful and professional and the facility is modern and clean. When I arrived, I was examined and numbed. Dr. Kim and his staff worked quickly and efficiently not wasting any time, but I was adequately numbed and they kept checking to make sure I was okay. It's not a pleasant procedure, but he managed to remove a difficult tooth without damaging the crowned tooth next to it. My only criticisms would be that the cost did seem to be high compared to what my insurance estimated, and with limited office hours, it took 3+ weeks of "managing" a bad tooth before they could see me.

I think he's great but he's expensive

They aren't online, according to staff. The website listed isn't theirs because, as stated above, they aren't online so they don't have a website. Call before making an appointment to ask what insurance they actually take because your insurance might list him but it doesn't mean he actually accepts it. I have Tricare, everything says he takes Tricare. He doesn't, in fact, take Tricare. The first day, staff and I really got into it because they were unprofessional and unwilling to do anything I needed, the next time going in they were slightly more helpful with none of the attitude. The doctor, however is pretty good. I'd give him a four of five stars. He thought scar tissue was decay, even after it was confirmed from my dentist it is scar tissue, he didn't really find it believable. Kind of annoying. So if you don't have scar tissue that he might confuse for decay, you can get along with staff, and you call ahead to make sure they accept your insurance... Well, then you're golden and likely to give them a much higher rating. Best of luck.

Dr. Kim is wonderful however, they refuse to do an explanation of benefits prior to your surgery. I don’t think they own a fax machine either. They would not schedule our surgery until I agreed to pay full amount of 2101$ because they said Superior Dental was not calling them back and was sold and not paying claims in a timely manner. Again not
my fault as I have insurance for this reason. If they don’t want to work with insurance then don’t accept it. Also day of surgery they would not show me the math and or bill and asked me to pay extra. They said we like to “pad the bill because Superior doesn’t pay. And patient can get a refund later.”
How is this allowed? They then made me wait in the car when they had told me I would have to wait in the room. They wanted me out of the office because I was asking questions and another client was there listening to their shady processes That I was calling them out on. All three of my kids used Dr Kim and if it weren’t for that we would have gone elsewhere. I am thankful that nobody in my family has to ever see him again due to his wife who is the office manager and the incompetent admin staff who do not know

....and the saga continues. This is pure Incompetence!

Kim's office made me pay my $579 bill in full upfront. Ok.Just finding out my insurance sent THEM the $179 I was to be reimbursed with. They've had this check since ~13Jan. Today is 30Jan. Receptionist said she didn't know when theyll reimburse me. Perhaps this is the norm for some companies to operate like this, but i believe it says a lot about their opinion of their customers. Just to think, they didn't bother to file my claim w Delta until I called nearly 2 months after my serviice. If they make you pay up front, make sure to immediately file your own claim w your insurance.

This is wrong. It's shows a level of arrogance? laziness? Incompetence?

I had a wisdom tooth removed Nov 8, 2022. I told them ahead of time I wanted nitrous oxide (laughing gas). Well, after my experience, Dr Kim was the only one laughing.
1) They charged me $195 for nitrous oxide. (My regular dentist only charges $90 but so glad I accepted after my experience). After I arrived, despite having Delta, a dental insurance they accept, they still made me pay for the entire bill $589, upfront - and then failed to submit my claim to Delta until I inquired of the status nearly 2 months later.
2) Despite being on Nitrous Oxide, I thought Kim was trying to rip my head from my shoulders as fiercely and as long as he had to yank on my tooth to remove it. He was pulling on it so hard, his tool slipped several times, once really cracking hard against my adjacent tooth.
3) After Kim pulled my tooth I started having pain from the adjacent tooth while brushing. I believe it was damaged when Dr Kim's tool slipped and hit it. I returned later to have it checked. After an xray - of course which I had to pay for upfront - he didn't see any damage so sent me on my way. I only wish the pain was a figment of my imagination.

Visit this guy at your own risk. Of course there's a mix of reviews but this is mine. I'm curious to know as well if they require full payment upfront from all their patients w accepted insurance, or if it was just me. Except for Dr Kim, I likely earn more than all of them and always pay my expenses immediately upon coming due. I've come across dentists who require payment upfront but they take care to advertise that well before getting to the office. I would appreciate knowing if anyone else had a similar experience. I went in for my wisdom teeth to be pulled and they wanted the money up front which was $2,300. And it was like a assembly line rush you in and out so he can make lots of money. And no pain pills I was miserable. I do not recommend this guy!!
