The State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy Reviews

I'm sure everyone here making negative comments about the Board regarding any drugs or purported medicine knows the Board is more about licensing and other regulatory requirements, right? Any approval or banning of any drugs or substances is the FDA's responsibility...I'm pretty sure those blaming the Board for the issue of Kratom knows that...right?

Took less than 10 minutes to get the email from them after my doctor's recommendation. 2 minutes later I had my card and all the information I needed.

Loving all the negative comments here about the Board's policy on kratom. Like the State Board of Pharmacy cares what kind of reviews it gets on Google. Grow up people....

Very fast license reciprocity process! What I thought would take months, took days. 👏

I am a pharmacist and called once to clarify a recent law change related to pharmacy practice. The woman took a very annoyed tone with me, and then just read the law to me. Yes, I can read. But multiple people can read the same law and come to different conclusions. Being that I am not a lawyer, I needed a bit of guidance from the Board that enforces the pharmacy laws. I want to do my job correctly and legally, so I’m not sure why they were so angry about that. They should encourage pharmacists to ask questions and better their understanding of safe and legal pharmacy practice.

For Public Safety Shut Down Harvest of Ohio Now. Public Records of Current Defendant Ariane Kirkpatrick / Harvest of Ohio Court case for "23 Million in Default Loans / Unpaid Interest". Prior Board of Pharmacy Dept of Commerce investigation declared Harvest "Committed Fraud & Deception" yet still allowed to Open, omg

I believe the Ohio Pharmacy Board started with good intentions as do most regulatory bodies. Unfortunately, they seem to have fallen victim to the same pit falls that so many regulatory bodies do. They have created redundancies, unnecessary steps in the application process, unnecessary and irrelevant requests for documentation. They have a great deal of confusion amongst their staff. They have no real educational presence but claim to be an entity that wants everyone to be safe and that they help in that process. If fining organizations monetarily is deemed the same thing as education, then perhaps I am not well versed in what education truly is. Education should precede penalty, not follow penalty. Penalty should never be used for generating revenue. Essentially the Pharmacy Board is the equivalent of traffic cameras in small cities. There is a line in a John Cougar song that I'd like to share with all inspectors and field agents within the Pharmacy Board, "Calling it your job don't make it right". I would challenge the Pharmacy Board to reevaluate their mission statement and ask these basic questions:
• "Are we here to make Ohio safer?"
• "If so, is it better to do so through education rather than through penalty?”
• "Is our mission to close small business and increase the footprint of big corporations, or is it to support small businesses through education and stronger tools of communication?"
Look inward Ohio Pharmacy Board and ask yourselves what you can do to be a more productive and proactive organization instead of the town bully.

An outpouring of bad reviews for many reasons for this state pharmacy board; and to ADD to the bad morales and ethics of this board: they left me standing with NO work after messing up my licensing. All rules were followed by both me & my employer yet I showed up to work and they said it wasn't finalized by the board. This was my only source of income. I called, emailed, talked to the receptionist and no response. I would be embarrassed to work here due to the lack of ethics.

There were over 60 reviews the other day with people upset with this corrupted government agency. Then the next day it was down to 27. My review and many others are gone. It is very difficult to remove google reviews and this just confirms the shadiness going on. I hope the voices of Ohio citizens will be heard. No one is in support of this agencies actions except them and their employer big pharma. I'm sorry, but it is very disgusting. I hope things straighten up. If they do, I am more than happy to change this to a 5 star. Until then, a one star is my honest opinion and the same opinion of MANY whose reviews have mysteriously disappeared...

Everyone can see right through your lies. You aren't even following the science. Comparing Kratom to heroin would be laughable if some people didn't actually believe you.

You are lying about Kratom and trying to ban it when not one of your "facts" is accurate.

It would only be in your favor to separate yourself from the lying, greedy FDA who only want to make money from people, not do what's best for them.

Banning Cannabis is bad enough but now banning Kratom, a plant in the COFFEE family?!?!

Not one thing you have said can be backed up. You are fear mongering just like the FDA to keep earning BILLIONS through Big Pharma.

Everyone can see through this. Your greed and ignorance is blatenly obvious!

*Also, we all see you deleting these bad reviews so it doesn't look that bad on you. You aren't hiding anything except the truth!

Their current stance on Kratom has me outraged. This plant it literally the most mild but useful substance as far as pain relief and mental health. A relative of tea plant, the brilliant Ohio Department of Pharmacy has decided to pursue a ban on the substance due to pressures by the DEA, ignoring all facts and science. They are claiming 40 people have died in over a decade (how many people die from gummy bears a year?). This fact is misleading due to there not being ONE SINGLE INSTANCE where kratom has been the sole culprit. I am an Electrical Engineer and was the Valedictorian of my High School. I am not one to drop my status, but feel it helps when this department is trying to make me a criminal overnight. I am introverted and use kratom less than once a week for social events. I have never once found myself to "need" the substance as it is not physically addicting. This is absolutely ridiculous and foolish. Why don't you spend our tax dollars on something such as, I don't know, maybe the opioid crisis plaguing our community in Dayton, instead of banning a plant that is being used by these addicts to overcome their addictions.
