The 1761 Old Mill

This was my second visit in the past six months. Roughly halfway between my sister's house in southern NH and my house in Connecticut, it is now our established meeting for lunch location.

The atmosphere is rustic and authentic, the food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the prices are reasonable. I can personally recommend the burger and the chicken parmesan (served with cheese tortellini). My sister got the salad with steak tips and did not offer to share... so it seems she enjoyed it!

Great venue for parties, receptions, photo sessions, and marriage proposals. Get a table by a window to view the pond and water fowl.

We enjoyed our dinner at the Old Mill. The waitress was hospitable and took care of our needs. Loved the basket of pecan rolls and corn fritters. We ordered calamari it was ok.
I had the country roast duck so delicious and tender. My husband had prime rib. Cooked perfectly and good. The only thing I would say there should have been mashed or baked potato not roasted potatoes. The potatoes seemed like home fries. Not the type of potatoes I would serve with prime rib. All in all it was a good dinner.

Always a great (although long 1 hour ride) trip for me and the kids for my oldest child’s birthday dinner. The Fritters and Pecan rolls never disappoint, the Irish Nachos were fresh, hot, and fantastic, and the Teriyaki Steal Tips were juicy and huge! Had a blast feeding the ducks some bread after as well. Thanks for another great meal and birthday celebration!

Went in July for dinner and we ate outside. The table we were sat at was slanted so our dishes were sliding a little but it wasn’t a major issue. The servers were super sweet and accommodated us amazingly. She recommended us the best dishes!! Did get a little buggy out though which was expected on a summer night.

Pecan rolls were great! Food was okay. Kids loved the chicken strips and feeding the ducks after dinner

We came to the 1761 Old Mill for dinner on our way to Vermont, and might I say this place stole the show of our entire trip. It’s the most beautifully decorated winter cabin. You really feel like you’re in a small Austrian village on the Alps. We were OBSESSED with the corn fritters they bring to the table upon arrival. Butter is a MUST with them! I got the The Famous Chicken and Vegetable Pie, and my partner got the Shrimp and Sausage Tortellini. I can’t even tell you which one is better, both are a must try! On top of it all, the service was lovely. We felt like we were being greeted by our family. Lastly, they have little treats for you as you exit for you to feed the little duckies! I can’t wait to be back here :))

We always come here after skiing and Everytime it is delicious! It's such a cozy restaurant. The pecan rolls and corn fritters are the best part!

Very cute restaurant with AMAZING food. Our meals and the complimentary pecan rolls and corn fritters were delicious. Ducks outside are friendly and there is free duck food to feed them-they even ate straight out of our hands. The gift shop was nice with reasonable prices. I bought a sweatshirt. We don’t live nearby, but if I am ever in the area I will definitely be stopping by again. Highly recommend! Much of the original building seems to still be up and it has an interesting and welcoming historical feel.

Atmosphere here was great, and the ducks and waterfall were awesome to see after a day on the slopes. Burger was just okay, but dessert was delicious.

First time there and it won't be the last! So warm and welcoming, from the hostess to the waiter Nick, I felt amongst friends. The food was excellent, well cooked comfort food and still reasonably priced. Will be back again soon!

We loved this place. The food was top notch and a great value. The rustic decor was charming. They provide food to feed the ducks after dinner, which was a blast for our kids.

As always a pleasant dining experience. Our server Brooke was outstanding. It is a real delight to eat in a building that is a piece of history. The grounds look like a page of old New England. Highly recommend the menu selections and service. 5 stars for the Old Mill ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Love coming here for the great food and service. Sitting outside and seeing the mill pond with all the views was very beautiful and peaceful. Also, the pecan rolls and the corn fritters with the maple syrup are a delicious!

This place has so much charm. This is the best meal I've had in a long time at a restaurant. Our server Amanda was great. We took a moment to go feed the ducks and one of the busseers cleared our table on accident they were so apologetic and reset our drinks and bread straight away. Great place.

I held my wedding reception here 21 years ago so I thought it would be fun to go back today. I haven't been in years. They did not disappoint. The service was fast and friendly and the food was delicious. I had the stuffed haddock and it was very good but you can't beat the corn fritters and pecan rolls! Yummy!!

We got there about an hour before they were ready to serve the prime rib. We asked our server if we had to wait. She said wait. Left and came back to tell us it was ready and we could order it!
Glad we did!

I visited this place yesterday for the first time and I can't wait until I visit it again with my wife
an excellent service, very friendly and the food not to mention
although I ordered a simple 🍔 with potatoes as we say in our language
That burger was super delicious in every way.

Absolutely blown away by the food, service, and atmosphere! I brought my wife here for lunch for her birthday, and we will be coming back for sure! The food is mouth-watering, full of flavor and in-house sauces! Dessert, to die for! Drinks perfectly made. Oh, and the corn fritters and pecan rolls are outstanding! All this with an amazing atmosphere filled with local history and phenomenal staff! P.S. don't forget to feed the ducks while you are there.

The 1761 Old Mill offers comfort food in a rustic, comfortable setting. The portions are large, and the food is delicious. Be sure to check out the gift shop while you're there! An absolute favorite for sure.

Wasn't absolute Delight of a place. From the outdoor atmospheres that was idealic of an Old Mill to the perfect service inside. The only thing that made it even better was the quality of food and the knowledge that they make their own sauces in house. Not only this but the pecan rolls and corn fritters were delectable and served as an appetizer.
