So beautiful and breathtaking. A great hike and so relaxing to be out in nature and see wildlife and be in fresh air. After the steep hill, everything else is easy to navigate and explore.

Great place to hike. Tall trees and rocks and gorges and ponds. I came back on 11/12/2023 and added some photos and videos.

I would say great spot for fall color.. All trees turned yellow indeed.. Trailing though the colorful tree and view of the lake from the observation point was great experience. Have limited parking spot. There's picnic shelter and water fountains..

Jaw dropping view, the air is thick with cleanliness from the gorgeous inspiring trees. The squirrels are rambunctious and adorable. I became lost in the forest for three hours and couldn't be happier about it. I absolutely loved it. If you admire nature, I highly recommend coming here.

Another beautiful metro park that I had the pleasure to explore with my wife. This place is so expansive and well kept. The views are stunning whether you are looking out over the trees or deep in the woods. Perfect day in the light rain as the canopy really keeps you dry.

Chapin Forest is a wonderful park with one of the most beautiful scenic views around. I highly recommend checking out the overlook in the fall. Several nice easy to moderate trails to choose from mostly gravel. Picnic areas and restrooms available.

Pretty nice park with a few different hiking trails. Park also has swings and monkey bars for kids. Trail has small rocks. Nice scenery.

Edit: Did the blue trail and it was top notch! It had some hills so I would say it is intermediate but the view from up top was fantastic!! Do yourself and favor and do one of the trails to see the view!! 👌🏽👌🏽

Well marked biking and hiking trails. (A river runs through it.) River is part of a previous limestone quarry used for building the local Kirtland Temple. Originally used by Latter-day Saints and now owned by Community of Christ Church. The trail is a peaceful and cool respite from the local muggy weather!

Overall a park with plenty of awesome veiws. Some of the scenery in endemic to this park only, as far as metroparks go. This is a geologist dream however, as all the cliffs and large boulders carved out from erosion provide a glance at what lies hidden beneath the surface. Large hills, and big drops can make this park difficult to traverse off trail, but the unique scenery is totally worth it. As this is the only park I've ever seen a royal blue swamp butterfly.

Great place to get some air and do some walking/ trail riding. The Ledges has a great view. A nice reward for the incline you must endure to see it. The picnic areas are well kept and nice as well. One of my personal favorite spots to hike!

Great place! Beautiful and well groomed trails with a vista that might be the best in NE Ohio. I highly recommend taking a hike here and I cant wait to go back in the winter to ski it.

This is a lovely park in Kirtland. The overlook to Lake Erie affords a beautiful view on a clear day! The paths are well marked, easy and peaceful on less busy days. Be careful by the ledges, the rocks can be slippery (says my mom instincts).

Gildersleeve Mountain in Kirtland is the highest point in not only all of Greater Cleveland, but it is also the highest point in Northeast Ohio. The views from the scenic overlook span all across the eastern suburbs all the way to Downtown Cleveland and Lake Erie. ☝❤☝

Great spot to get out and go for a hike and take in the views. Has a few hilly spots, but nothing unachievable. Fall is the best time to check out all the leaves changing, but spring is great too when things bloom.

Excellent park with great paths and a real unique uphill hike to the top of Mount Gildersleeve. See views of downtown Cleveland and Lake Erie. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
