Was looking for a good burger.
The sausage sandwich hit the dot. Cooked perfectly.
The staff is not your run of the mill whatever people. They all care about you and your experience in their establishment.

They are inside the Shell gas station with Hot Heads.
Absolutely delicious. My new stooping place on my way to Eldora for the season.

This place is all about the food. Their whole hog double sausage sandwich was amazing. Add the bacon for an awesome flavor experience. Fries aren't too bad either.

A bit confusing-look for the black chalk board to the right of hot heads and order there. Sausage is made in house and is very tasty. Fries were good as was the “dough boy”. Price was very reasonable too!

I didn't know about this place but glad I found out! Awesome food and great atmosphere

The pulled pork is amazing, better than alot of bbq restaurants I've been to. The sausage sandwiches are good, but if you want to bring it to the next level, get it with mustard and grab some sour cream and jalapeños from the hot head 5 feet away.

You want real sausage, I mean real and really good. Like it was years ago! This is the place to get it. I always buy extra so I can enjoy it for a few days..
My only complaint is, they don't sell it in bulk. Though that might take away from the treat it is when I get through Van Wert.

The sausage is so good! It reminds me of sausage I grew up with in Illinois. The fries are so crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. Don't forget to get dough children! They even let us eat our sandwiches and let them know when we were ready for them to drop the children, so they would be fresh!

Every time I'm in the area I Have to stop and get me a sausage sandwich. They are the absolute best!!!!! And the Doughboys are fantastic also!!

This place is great. Food is fresh and the sausage is homemade. Always amazing service and amazing sandwich. Drive thru can be slow but that’s because it’s all made fresh to order.

Soooooo good. I am a driver so when I saw drive thru only I was disappointed but the kind people next door told me to go to the drive up window. The cashier called me up to the window and took my order. Ultra friendly staff great food, hot and fresh. Had 2 doubles fries and doughboys. More than worth the wait outside.

Went to Hot Head burritos. I will for sure will be back. Hot head has Keto and Paleo options which are gluten free as well. Fantastic food and service.

My job requires me to travel all over the midwest so I eat out often. I usually don't enjoy it. I try to eat healthily and avoid fast food. I came through Van Wert about a month ago and was starving so I gave this place a try. As I sit here in Michigan today under soft martial law I wish that I could drive back to this place. The sandwich was that good. Way better than I could have imagined. Just the right taste combination with the mustard recommended toppings and a flavorful sausage patty. I highly recommend this place to anyone traveling through. It's well worth the stop.

Great local establishment. Happened upon while coming into town. Simple but yummy menu. Well made sandwiches. Fries just like the fair. Definitely worth a stop!

I used to eat a sausage and horseradish when we went to the van wert county fair and now they have a restaurant and it's still good 👍
