I stopped to get something for my wedding (just to look cool and take pictures for The Gram)

They helped me get what I needed and didn’t try to oversell me something I didn’t need. You can buy anything online expect customer service.

Prices are good, selection is great! The people there are always helpful. Literally the most helpful cigar shop I have ever been to. On top of that they must have at least 150 different cigars, everyone is picked by the owners. Well priced. Rocky Patels range from $9-$13 for example.

Cigar Monkey is the place to go in Merced for premium quality cigars for a killer price. Many cigars to choose from maduros to few flavored/sweet cigars, all is kept in perfect climate and temperature. Many accessories and must-haves are here. There's also a lounge area to enjoy your stick and the employees are very helpful if you're not sure with what to choose.

The owner, Phil is a really cool dude. Everyone there is laid back and the exact opposite of stuck up. Amazing variety with an amazing amount of knowledge. They have everything thing for the beginner to the Veteran smoker. Smoking accessories as well. New favorite place downtown Merced. I didn't know they have been there for 18 years now. Really cool people.

If you're looking for something cheap and terrible to smoke, then this is not the store for you. You may find something fairly inexpensive, but the Cigar Monkey doesn't carry bad products. Whether it's a cigar or loose leaf tobacco, you can count on it being good; you need only to worry about it being to your tastes.

Mike is super helpful and great at giving you info on cigars you are considering. Great social person. This place is old school, so if you're sensitive and don't have thick social skin, don't be so quick to call them rude. They're actually extremely friendly. One of my favorite spots to buy a cigar. Or several cigars

They no longer have sweet cigars as of 12-21-2022 and they let me try a mellow cigar that I really liked and bought 10 cigars and gave me a 10 percent off when you buy 10 or more

Mike and Janet have always been awesome and have helped me find my way to my all time favorite cigar. Of course I listen when they tell me I might want to try a....... It's always good advice. Happy New year to you all.

The owner is so cool... He let me slide 2 dollars so I could get my dad his cigars.. (I will be sure to pay him the rest on my next visit) Best cigars in town!

I was in Merced for a few days and found this shop on the web. Great place that still feels like what a cigar store/lounge should. Thanks for the hospitality.

The staff at Cigar Monkey are very helpful and take the time to guide you in your selection. They are very knowledgable and know their inventory well. I have been pleased with the service and product I have left with after every visit. My favorite is the pipe tobacco selection. They have one of the most varied I have seen in the valley, including a many blends of the least of the Dunhills. I highly reccomend stopping in and letting them guide you on your next smoking adventure!

A great place to grab a cigar and relax. Always enjoy the company I meet here and the staff and patrons are all willing to help a first time visitor out.

Great place to get really good tobacco and cigars.

Family business that has a boutique cigar collection and quiet areas to relax and smoke. Also smoking pipes and pipe tobacco. Winston, the shop terrier, is a friendly fellow after he gets he barks a couple times.

The cigars are always fresh don't waste your time getting your cigars at corner stores as you will be disappointed. Great varitys and always seem to have sales.
