Happy Creek Coffee & Tea

This coffee shop is under new ownership, it is now called Doppio Bunny Coffee.

Very homey welcoming atmosphere when you walk in with lots of country vintage charm. The coffee beans used are still roasted by happy creek coffee and though the menu is updated and chic, they still offer some of the fan favorites like the Valencia. The coffee is amazing, so smooth and delicious. We had the Mocha and a cold Vanilla Latte, they were perfect.

They make their own syrups and seem to really care about their ingredients they use in any of their offerings. I will always stop here when I find myself in town.

At first, I didn't realize there was an actual Happy Creek location in Purcellville, because while it shows up on Google Maps, it's not on the website. This made me assume it was a mistake, or that this location had shut down. I was pleasantly surprised when I drove by and saw it was really here.

Let me start by saying that I'm both a coffee snob and a guy for whom gluten free is not optional. And experience has made me skeptical about the places that offer either, let alone both.

But Happy Creek -- a coffee shop that is ENTIRELY gluten free -- may be my first five-star review.

To be honest, I haven't had coffee this good since the days when Nick Cho was kicking off the third wave of coffee slinging espresso from his Clarendon shop known as Murky Coffee. It was there that I realized what truly good coffee can taste like. Since I've discovered Happy Creek, I've had a plain latte on two occasions -- made by different people each time -- and it was equally excellent both times. Their little LaMarzocco pulls shots as good or better than anything I was having from my last local haunt in another state, where they ran a very pricey Synesso Syncra. They're brewing local beans from a roaster in Front Royal -- I didn't catch the name -- so my hat's off to them as well.

And then I tried a blueberry muffin.

Listen, if you're not gluten free, you might not be able to imagine how subpar most GF pastries are. There's always something in the texture or the taste that gives away that you're eating something made from poor substitutes. Too gummy, too soft, too crumbly, too sweet...

But this blueberry muffin was one of the best I've ever eaten, even from my old gluten-glutton days. It was perfect. Even had a little bit of a cinnamon crumble on top, and IT WAS STILL WARM BECAUSE THEY MADE IT IN THE STORE!

That's right, they make their baked goods on site.

My wife had an Earl Gray tea that she forgot to sweeten before we left. It was so flavorful, she realized it didn't even need it.

I'm going to be back to try lots of other things here...if I can just stop going back for the same things.

I'm very happy to have found Happy Creek. I'll be a customer for a long time.

I second a lot of these reviews. This coffee shop is a great place to get work done. The environment is bright and airy. The staff is friendly and cares about the quality of the coffee/beverages. The ‘Valencian’ is hands down one of the best drinks I’ve ever had and is quickly becoming an expensive addiction. Definitely stop in if you’re in the area.

Great coffee and sandwiches. My daughter and wife both have Celiac and we're so happy about breakfast sandwiches that are gluten free - and they are delicious.

Great coffee - regular, cold brew, nitro - they got it all and it's all great!

The difference is the Batista's and staff! They are wonderful and make the most amazing lattes. Best coffee in western Loudoun! Highly recommend!

A very quite place to relax and sip a hot drink. I believe they promote local artist because they had some interesting painting from Lauren Abrimavage.I love when small business support other people. I had a Mexican hot chocolate it had a bitter taste but is was not bad I am just not use to it. Also I had their make yourself yogurt and it was delicious. I will defitnetly be back.

We stop here anytime we are out this direction. Fully gluten free (gf) with some dairy free options, although they have been out of specific items. They mark everything for allergens and the staff is always friendly and aware of the menu.

My favorite drink is the Valencia mocha - highly recommend!

The CUTEST coffee shop with the sweetest people. Tons of drink and food options that are always delicious. The owner Amanda and her staff are always so welcoming and kind. Perfect place to take a breather and enjoy your coffee and treats!

Love this place. It's not right on the strip, so it's easy to miss (but don't!). The staff is crazy nice and helpful. They sell baked goods, and ingredients to make your own breads at home. The regular coffee is normal coffee. However, the hot chocolate is amazing and espresso drinks are really good.
The greatest part of the place is that its comfortable and relaxing seating space. It's a great place to get work done or sit and have a conversation. A nice bonus is a few toys for kids to play with in a corner. It's not much, but my kids love going there to play with the dinos.

Love the gluten free pastries! You can get coffee with a heart or different designs on the top. Cute little place! Also they were offering free KN95 mask 10 packs.

I come here every time I visit my best friend which is roughly once a month and their breakfast is incredible. The egg and cheese panini is enough for two people! A little pricey but on par with Starbucks, it's two meals AND supporting small businesses is worth it for me. Highly recommended!

Great coffee and ample room for seating. They showed focus and care for making a great tasting latte. Also the sandwiches were scrumptious. Definitely would like to go back and try other items, like the juices and smoothies

Great coffee and tea plus an oatmeal bar and luscious baked goods. Has a handicapped entrance, is gluten free and has outdoor seating. Highly recommend. I had the blueberry crunch muffin and coffee with cashew milk...delicious!

Breakfast paninis are amazing. They're served in an unconventional round bun-like bread that's delightful. Nitro cold brew paired really well with it too. Just moved to the top of my cafe list.

Since discovering Happy Creek in Purcellville my weekly coffee budget has tripled, not because they are expensive but because I can't stay away from this place! They make a perfect iced Americano that always delivers a kick just as the afternoon energy slump starts to take hold. The staff are super friendly and always smiling and you're always made to feel welcome here. I recommend Happy Creek to any coffee drinker that crosses my path because any other place simply won't do

This is the best coffee shop in NOVA, imo, perhaps in all of the DC area. Every barista at the location I go to, Purcellville, makes my regular order exactly how i like it, every single time. I don't know how they do it. Amazing people. I'm a loyal customer.

It is pleasant to find coffee shops with superior beverages, great when you can add exemplary service and excellent food.
Happy Creek is on my short list of country wide shops.
