The Covey

Great food, including a nice pasta section. The clam starters were great. The octopus we liked a little bit less. For mains, the wagyu bavette was so good, though it didn't come with any sides, just a little bit of sweet potato puree. The eggplant was delicious, my favorite dish. Lots of fun cocktails and mocktails as well. Overall, great spot for dinner

If I could give this ten stars I would. They made our children feel like they were the most important people in the room, put us at ease, and even gave our doodle a spot to hang so we could enjoy a meal. It was the best experience we have ever had. The meal was exquisite, balanced, delicious, and fabulous. The best we have had in a long time. Thank you so much for making our girls feel so special.

Excellent in ambience, with fresh ingredients including their produce and homemade pasta. We cannot sing the praises of the Covey enough. We booked dinner reservations during the busy Trailing of the Sheep Festival weekend. While this cozy modern elegance meets farmhouse restaurant would have been an ultimate experience for a date night, our expectations were FAR exceeded with our family of four (including two younger children). We enjoyed the mafaldine, lamb cassarecce, and butterleaf dishes. They accommodated a delightful simple pasta for our youngest one, and encouraged them to create artwork while we waited for our meal. Their artwork was proudly framed and tastefully displayed on the wall by the bar. The evening ended with a delightful sweet surprise by the chef/owner and his dog. We will be back, with our family, friends, and for a date night!

Absolutely the best meal we've had out in quite some time. The food (mushrooms/spaetzle, bib lettuce salad, bavette, trout) was amazing. Really, every bite was perfect. The executive chef was great, interacting with us and our 8-year old. He seems to really enjoy his work. The "love of food" shines through at The Covey, and we only wish we weren't out-of-towners so we could eat here often.

Make a reservation now! Thoughtful, creative, inspired dishes. Wine list offers unique selections with a focus on sustainability and low intervention winemaking. The vibe is upbeat and the music is always on point. Bravo guys!

My first visit two years ago was as spectacular. When you can enjoy a meal this good and feel like your in your back yard with friends in a comfortable homey atmosphere it’s 5 star
Even the restrooms are beautiful

I was initially apprehensive about bringing three kids under five to The Covey but our families were met with open arms. Not only did they provide high chairs and coloring materials but the owner took our daughter and let her sit at the kitchen bar to “help” him expo. It was such a sweet experience and one our daughter won’t forget. In addition to the kindness showed to our children the food was divine. The steak tartare was the best I’ve ever had, the handmade bucatini incredibly flavorful, and the cheesecake is actually indescribable. Nothing but great things to say about this place, the food, staff, and the owner. I can’t wait to go back!

I love the Covey! It’s a consistently great experience with great rotating pastas, fish, and meat. They always have an interesting beer and wine selection .

Lovely place. I got the chicken thigh and it was expertly prepared and delicious. Anne got pasta with lemon and cream which wasn't quite as good.

Best Hamachi Crudo I have ever had and it is not bear the ocean! Small but well crafted menu, excellent food, friendly and modern but accessible decor. But how do they memorize those taps?? 😉

Wow! The food here is so good. The chicken is tender and juicy, spiced with harissa. Yum! The rigatoni is done to perfection. We had fabulous service. Very enjoyable!

Casual dining in a great atmosphere! A must go to if you're in Sun Valley/Ketchum

The Covey is the only place in Ketchum I've been to that attempts a seasonal, creative, New American menu and I deeply appreciate them. The service is fantastic, the backyard patio is lovely in summer, the dining room is airy and modern. By Portland standards, the food is not a huge standout, but when you've tried the breadth of what the valley has to offer you come to appreciate a place that is putting in the effort to do modern, delicious, ever-changing cuisine and not just the same duck breast they've served for 30 years (IYKYK). We've made time to go on a date at the Covey on almost every trip (2 times a year) for a few years now, and while not every dish hits it out of the park, they keep working and getting better and more creative with mostly seasonal ingredients.

Most interesting restaurant we ate at while here. Cauliflower with fish flakes is not to be missed. We had a pasta with fennel pollen that was very interesting, had a ramen taste to it. Finally the trout with adobo which far overpowered the fish, but it was an interesting take. If you want something off the beaten path with interesting dishes this is your spot.

The pork chop was insanely delicious, and the bavette was a close second for me.

Super unique, great food. The menu changes every few months and I tend to end up trying almost everything! The food is really awesome, and this has become my favorite restaurant in the valley! Emily and Leah are AMAZING! About as good as servers/bartenders get. Great food, great service, great vibe.

Had a wonderful experience at The Covey last night. The outdoor space is beautiful, especially when the string lights come on around sunset. Reilly provided amazing service throughout the evening. Everything we ordered throughout the night, both food and wine, was incredible. One of the better meals I’ve had in my life. Definitely would return if I make it back to Sun Valley.

I am an out-of-towner so I was wide open for a new menu, restaurant, etc. Walked in and was seated right away. In no time, the place was packed. Great energy in a beautifully decorated place. Tons of great food... plenty for a large group. We shared so I tasted everything... does NOT disappoint. Such great seafood which I found surprising (I am from the South where seafood is readily available) and their homemade pasta was out of this world. The mussels are a must. I WILL GO BACK!!!

Best new restaurant in Sun Valley. A worthy contender. Don't hesitate to try it. The kitchen bar was cool, and accommodating. We walked in on a busy night and were able to sit right down.
