Sushi On Second

Never had a bad experience here and unique from other sushi restaurants I’ve visited in the U.S. I personally love the intimacy of the dine-in space, along with the salmon/fish dinner, anything made with their uni, and the oyster and quail egg shooters. Also, the fact that they focus on not overfishing on Bluefin Tuna makes this place more sustainable and a thumbs up in my book.

Pleasantly surprised with sushi on second. Started with the fried pot stickers and they were delish. Had to wait a little bit to get our sushi (but we did order a lot) and it was good! Fair prices as well as friendly service

Fantastic quality fish. As they advertise, their fish quality and freshness are excellent. We had one of their special rolls, the "Walla Walla," plain ahi roll, plain sake roll, cajun calamari, sake nigiri, and poke salad.

The poke salad was the best I've ever had ... the quality of ahi and the seasoning for that dish was phenomenal, as was the combo of fresh beets, seaweed salad, and other veggies in that dish.

While the seasoning and prep of the spicy calamari wasn't my favorite (nor was it spicy at all), the quality of the calamari was outstanding. The rolls were ok (again, the quality of the fish in everything was top-notch).

We're looking forward to returning soon, and I will stick with their nigiri to emphasize the outstanding fish quality and bypass rolls.

Overall, I'm really pleased and highly recommend it.

Best sushi place in a long time. Even my hard to please husband couldn't fault the food. We made a reservation for the following evening before we left!

Great sushi, sake selection enormous, the fried trout appetizer was to die for. We sat at the bar and Jen was the best.

Honestly this might have been the best sushi I've had since Vancouver or seattle. Customer service was terrific. Definitely will return

Had a wonderful time tonight at Sushi on 2nd. I knew it was going to be busy because it is a Saturday night during the holidays so when I asked if there was any availability for 3 I was surprised when they said I could sat right away and at the sushi bar! Not before long every seat was filled so I definitely recommend making a reservation. The food was amazing, I personally enjoyed the ahi tuna nigiri and dynamite roll. The quality of the fish was incredible and the presentation too! Bonus points because I got to watch them make it right in front of me. Also have to mention that the waitstaff was very knowledgeable about what items were gluten free!

This place is ridiculously good for the price. I've never had crab long tongues in a egg roll before that was simply my favorite and I ordered it twice. All of the sushi is fresh and good and the sake is warm. They even have hot jasmine tea my favorite.

I saw on their social media that they had uni as a special. I had to get some! It was sooo delicious. It was wonderfully prepared. I had it as nigiri. The rice was perfect, the uni firm but creamy. I love this place!

I'm not from this area, but I have eaten a lot of sushi. First, I was so surprised and pleased with the presentation of the food. Secondly, my boyfriend and I thought both of our plates were to die for. It was so delicious!! Can't wait to come back.

Had the pleasure of grabbing a reservation on a busy night. We were pleasantly surprised to be seated at the bar in front of the owner. Her skills, amazing team, and delicious food made for a wonderful evening.

This is the best sushi restaurant ever! Great service! Amaizing tradtional sushi! Wonderful selection of saki, beer, and wine! With plenty of options for vegetarians and those who are not partial to sushi as well!

Didn’t expect good sushi in Idaho, but pleasantly surprised. Service was friendly and efficient. We were a group of 14 and they did not scare away like other restaurants in the area. Everyone enjoyed their meal.

Really good sushi place in sun valley. Everything was fresh and delicious. Prices were a little high but not a big deal. Definitely will be back if I'm in the area again. Only little complaint I had was the 7 spice salmon appetizer was awkward to eat as the pieces were too big. If it was cut smaller it would be great since it's raw

The service is second to none!

Fun atmosphere and good food. Service was attentive. Sat at the Sushi bar and had a fun conversation with the Sushi Chef about preparing sushi. We order the Saki Maki and Yum-Yum rolls. Also had seaweed and cucumber salads an they were very good. For dessert we had Green Tea Ice Cream. Will go back when we come to Ketchum next.
