Healthcare Academy of California

I am a student at UCLA right now and was home over the summer so I decided to go to school in Vista, Ca for my CNA. I did my research and came across Healthcare Academy of California. I couldn’t have chose a better school or have had a better instructor. Lauren is so great, she explains everything very well and she cares about all of her students. Beyond being very knowledgeable, she is also very funny and has the best stories. You may have to go to school every morning very early for a few weeks but Lauren and all my classmates made it super fun and worth it. The ENTIRE class passed our exams and keep in touch with each other. I would certainly go back for a BLS (CPR/AED) course if they offer that in the future. Thank you so much Lauren and Healthcare Academy of California. I highly recommend them and any reviews that say otherwise are from people that aren’t willing to do the work. If you are dedicated and want to get your CNA fast with a great instructor , this is the place for you.

I had a GREAT experience with Healthcare Academy of California! The staff was very professional, dedicated, thorough, efficient and caring. Mike was an outstanding instructor and made sure every student was given ample opportunity to learn and apply themselves. Front office staff was very helpful in enrolling, paying tuition and following up with administrative assistance. Their efforts and instruction helped me achieve my NREMT certification on the first attempt. I highly recommend the Healthcare Academy of California!

I just finished taking the four week CNA program with Lauren. I can’t say enough good things about her! She made the class fun and you can tell she deeply cares about each students needs. She is a hardworking, knowledgeable, and hands on instructor. I would take her class again in a heartbeat! The program itself is fast pace but as long as you put in the time and effort you will be fine. Highly recommended the CNA program at Healthcare Academy of California!

Lulu (Ms. Lauren) is superwoman. Lulu is the absolute best. She is so hands on and makes the course fly by; too fast in my opinion.
From day one she makes everyone feel comfortable and worry free! You can count on Ms. Lauren for about anything- which is why she deserves her nick-name.
For anyone taking this class my best advice would be: be yourself and don't be late :)

If you're looking for something easy/on the side, you're going to have a bad time. If you're serious about getting a realistic idea of what the EMS world is about and you're ready to suffer- this is the best place out there! Dustin is extremely knowledgable and helpful, and paints a realistic picture of what your career as an EMT can look like. There is no sugar coating in this class and I loved it.

I had the best experience here at healthcare academy, I have now finished my cna course with Ms.Lauren. This has been the best class I have attended, she's such a outgoing teacher. Making the class interesting and fun. Definitely didn't feel like school, all our girls ended up being really good friends. I am definitely going to miss this class. Ms.Lauren prepared us so well for out state exam, I'm sure we all did great! If she were to teache other programs I would probably sign up again. Thank you Ms.Lauren, I'm going to miss this class!❤❤

Did EMT training with Capt. Dustin Griffin and couldn’t say enough good things about him as our instructor or the academy as a whole. They were profesional, easy to contact to find classes, and so much more. Would absolutely recommend for EMT training.

By far the best school to go to in California for EMS! The instructors and the staff truly care about the students. If you want a program that will prepare you for the next step in your medical career, HAC is the best place to go.

Ms.Andrea is the best! I took the weekend course and it’s a little harder just because you do have to retain info from months ago by the time you take your state exam. Ms Andrea made it very self explanatory and a fun course. Our whole entire class passed!! It worth it and within two days of passing my state exam I had interviews left and right with offers of $15 and up!

I went to Healthcare Academy for the EMT course recently and I couldn't be more impressed. Enrollment was easy, staff was friendly and helpful and both my instructors were knowledgeable and engaging with the class. I definitely suggest this school to anyone interested in getting any certifications they offer. It helps you start in the medical field.

I just graduated from the CNA program and I had the most amazing teacher and guide someone could ever ask for! If you want to be a CNA take the course with Lauren! She is an amazing instructor! She teaches you how to be an outstanding CNA and will help you be successful not only as a CNA but life lessons as well. If I could do it all over again it would without a doubt be with her again. Best experience I have ever had by far!

I had a fantastic experience. Prior to the program i wasn't a fan for anything sciences, i just felt it was a field i couldn't connect with few days into the program i was able to do a lot and even built interest to further my career in the nursing field. Greg was the instructor for the class, he made learning fun and he teaches in a way that you never forget. Wonderful instructor and nice school.

I recently completed the weekend CNA program with Healthcare Academy of California. Lauren was an amazing teacher! Through this course I have learned so much and I was fully prepared for the state exam. I can proudly call myself a Certified Nursing Assistant thanks to them. I would recommend this course to anyone interested in becoming a CNA!

Wonderful experience, it's a smaller size class so you get to focus more one on one with the teacher and ask more questions has more time to review sections on subjects you didn't understand. Overall this class was a great and easy experience if you want to get in the medical field for nursing.

I passed my NREMT on my first attempt and just accepted my first job offer!! Thank you HCA for helping me start my EMT career. The instructors here are awesome! They go out of their way to give extra help and are all seasoned in the field! I've learned so much from them and can tell that they really do care about their students.

I attended Healthcare Academy last year, even through the pandemic, I am so thankful for the training I received. Not only was I able to pass the NREMT first try, I felt very confident going into the field with the training I received from Chuck and Mike.

This school is anazing. My instructor, Mrs.Terry, was not only a wonderful teacher, she was also a mentor in every sense of the word. The curriculum us manageable for someone with a busy home life and the staff is delightful. I would, and already have, recommended anyone to this program!

Glad I picked this school instead of another trade/expensive school, so cheap and got my California state license right after I finished my CNA course at this school, 2 months later I got hired at a hospital and work 12 hr shifts, Pay is GREAT, pay is more than what the nurse facilities pay, trust when I say it will be worth it =), thank you healthcare academy =) p.s. my teacher was Mr. Nieves, he's awesome. staff was very friendly, they worked with me, made payments on my tuition, I went to the weekend CNA course, went by super fast. sucked going to school on the weekends and working Monday thru Friday, I also have 3 kids but If I can do it so can you =) it was def worth it towards the end.
