My family resided in the same 3 story San Diego home for 24 years and had a very challenging/technical move that involved relocating a full shop with close to one ton of storage media/supplies, a large adventure motorcycle a large arms collection requiring a 12 page manifest and all of our domestics. I had never considered moving before as it was too nightmarish and incomprehensible to wrap my head around such a concept and the trepidation was off the charts. As fate would have it, we would be moving some 1,900 miles. I decided to take a calm approach and reach out to Mayflower/Bernardo Moving and Storage. We were put in contact with Mr. Kyle Aristizabal and from that point … everything went smooth as silk exceeding all expectations. My wife and I found ourselves not just liking but Loving our agent … immediately. He was 110% genuine with Zero Bullshit and he thoroughly knew his trade. He was very patient/accommodating as we moved the loading date a couple of times. Our move was made even more complicated by our location, a very limited access dead end street on a hillside requiring that a smaller van be dispatched to take multiple loads to fill a full sized, in our case dedicated van. This meant that everything was handled TWICE before the cross country move actually started and the load out was calculated at two days, and two full days it was. We crated about 1/3 of the load and made special boxes for another third followed by 50/50 Home Depot boxes and loose item handling. About 1,000 lbs. of steel and oak wood stock inventories were loaded into underside trailer compartments. Kyle did most of the weight and all of the volume estimation and the final shipping weight was within 500 lbs. (on the shy side) of the estimate !!! This was just amazing. We were told by the head moving team member, Richard Monroy that Kyle always nails his estimates … and … the movers themselves were awesome at both ends. I remember feeling utter panic when I heard the first sound of the approaching Diesel engine truck as we were not entirely ready for them. Nonetheless, Everything went far better than expected and the team did heed my handling admonitions. Of all the items moved, only one was damaged but was easily repairable. Some of the cargo included very fragile dinosaur bones, huge model ships and one item that had totally escaped my attention. I had a big box of 100+ year old chemists glassware (about 40 pieces) that I lost track of/did not package properly BUT not a single item arrived damaged. My exotic 660 lbs. motorcycle (hauled with the load) was delivered without a single scratch. We made immediate friends with several team members and we remain in touch with them. I cannot say enough good about them, they absolutely rock including their Move Coordinator Lisa Conway. I have been in domestic/international logistics for over 30 years and it takes a hell of lot to impress me, but impress me they did. My worst nightmare became serenity. Great company and honest with pricing and hours. Refunded me when the move took less time than they estimated. Also let me borrow some boxes which was terrific.

We had a lot of stairs, tight hallways and big furniture. They were all in, and worked hard making sure we were not stressed and happy with the results…and competitive pricing.

My move came during a very difficult time in my life. Lisa Conway and Michele Finkelstein were incredibly supportive and took charge of my move. My belongings were in their storage facility for eleven months. When I was ready to move into my new home Lisa and Michele cheered for me and shared my happiness! They are a great team to work with. For both moves the men who handled my worldly goods were professional and respectful. I highly recommend this stellar company. In complete honesty, I don’t have a single negative thing to say. Thank you all so very much for making a positive impact on my life. You removed the stress from a normally highly stressful situation.

Overall excellent experience and quality for what you get. Had same movers for move-out and move-in 1 year later. They remembered anything pertinent and had great notes. No complaints from me. This company is good. Also, move estimate based on stuff. Was not worried about paying by the hour so they were very thorough with re-assembly of furniture. Great experience. Reasonably priced and open to input. For example, TV boxes are super expensive. Allowed me to buy my own (cheaper at Home Depot)nor chose not to store TV. Very responsive with the whole process. 100% recommended.

Great communication, coordination and service. Paperwork was clear and easy. They showed up exactly on time and carefully loaded all our items (some quite heavy) for a move from San Diego to Montana. Delivery time was faster than expected. Highly recommend.

Bernardo Moving was excellent throughout the entire process. From my first interaction with Kyle, to coordinating with Chrissy, to the final moving day with Dalton, Mo, and Jr. everyone was professional and friendly to work with. Kyle came out and gave an honest appraisal by viewing the space needed to move, which no other moving company did when I called them. Chrissy was great in helping me pick up free boxes (another great perk with Bernardo) and was very communicative prior to moving day. On the moving day, Dalton, Mo, and Jr. showed up right on time and went straight to work. They kept the momentum going throughout the day and finished strong. All the furniture was wrapped and padded for safe travel and they took care to ensure everything moved without any damages. Overall a great experience with everyone on the team. Thank you Bernardo Moving for making this such a seamless experience.

What an absolutely amazing job by all parties involved for our move. Lisa and Kyle kept us fully in the loop the entire time and checked to make sure we were happy every step of the way. The movers Josué, Taiu and Roman absolutely killed it. They were such nice people, made sure everything was in the right place and in order at our new home and not a single thing was damaged or dirty when they were finished. Consider us costumers for life and thank you to everyone involved!

The experience with Bernardo Moving & Storage was very good. Michael our move estimator was very helpful in explaining everything and was available for any questions or concerns as we progressed closer to the date of the move. Our move co-ordinator, Chrissy, kept in contact with us from start to finish. Our truck driver, Edgar, was excellent. His two man crew and he worked very hard and very fast. I was concerned about the off load due to only having a window of when the off load would happen. Edgar and Chrissy were very good about keeping in touch and letting me know as soon as the off load date was confirmed. Edgar showed up with two new crew members and they did a great job unloading and placing everything in the house. Overall it was a very good experience. I would not hesitate to use them again and to recommend them to others.

Bernardo Moving was so incredibly professional. They checked in multiple times before the move, the day before and of the move and I never once doubted they would complete the move in a quick and professional manner.

The moving men were fast, responsive, and so helpful. They moved everything quickly, never dragged the time, and were so respectful and helpful. They charge a little more but are worth every extra penny.

We were very happy with our move from Southern to Northern California. Our sales exec Kyle was responsive and there on packing day to make sure all was going well. Chrissy, our client service manager, was very responsive and on top of all moving parts (no pun intended). From our rep, Kyle Aristizabal, arriving on time to give us a quote (he came twice actually because we sold a lot of our furniture so he adjusted our quote), to Chrissy Gregath, our moving coordinator touching base every several days, to Irwin and Raechele, our contacts at the warehouse to pick up complimentary boxes, and finally our driver, Andy, and the two crews he managed in San Diego and North Carolina - the entire process was professional, seamless, quick and easy,
I had read numerous negative reviews on all the moving companies and was, honestly, skeptical. Our personal experience was nothing short of excellent, and we would 100% recommend Bernardo Moving & Storage (Mayflower) to our friends and family. Moving across the country is very stressful, especially trying to coordinate cars, animals, household goods, etc. We went with a car carrier recommended by Kyle and that process was also seamless. Our car was picked up on time and delivered well within the timeframe given.
Our driver for the move, Andy, was extremely communicative, texting his arrival times and letting us know where he was, He showed up before the delivery window (by about a week), and was so helpful and professional, we feel very lucky to have had him help with our move.

We used Bernardo Moving & Storage several times. They moved our furniture from Pacific Palisades to Carlsbad and Carlsbad to a storage facility. David Price gave us a quote. His quote was extremely fair. His men have a great attitude. They were on time. They know how to pack a truck and unload a truck. Excellent service. We highly recommend their company. In fact, we only will use them to move our furniture.

We have used Bernardo Moving twice- for a local San Diego move and most recently to NC. We were pleased we were with their moving services- especially accommodating our forgotten items to include on the truck. Otis did a great job and managed to deliver all in perfect condition despite the ice storm and fallen tree limbs! We would definitely recommend Bernardo Moving to others.

Very well organized move, no damage whatsoever to our furniture, detail oriented when dealing with small items or parts (pins for bookshelves were found and delivered after the move as they were stored in a "safe" place). Hard working crew, pleasant interactions. For sure will try to use this company for the next move!
