Orange county doesn't pro rate. Don't buy anything while living here if you don't want to pay a year's worth of taxes on it. What a joke even a dumb phone has a calculator. A 6th grade could pro rate

I haven't lived in VA for 8 years. About 4 years ago, I was getting sued for delinquent personal property taxes for three years that I hadn't lived there. I proved I was no longer in the state and they fixed it. Today, I'm getting sued for the next three years of personal property taxes. I proved my residence in another state 3-4 different ways but now I'm having to prove relocating each individual vehicle separately. They still want to argue over $35 of taxes for a car I sold as soon as I moved and have no documentation for.

These reviews probably won't deter anyone from moving to Virginia, let alone Orange County, but you're in for "special treatment." They be in touch the rest of your life apparently.

I’ve been Active Duty Army for the past 10 years. I had to go to the treasurer or call every year for 3 years to prove my Active Duty status. I’m by no means a Virginia resident and have not lived there for over 3 years now. I’m sick and tired of being harassed, this is not how you treat Service Members and should be embarrassed. Avoid living in Orange County!

15$ card fee. Our govt loves to rob us every chance they get. The lady working there was nice though

Do I have to give them a star? I literally get 3 different bills because the "dmv" states my name different on my titles. "They can't change anything." If you are a state/federal organization you should be able to change things. I should not have to go to the worthless dmv to change how my name appears on a title. Well sir your records/social match; but here is 3 bills, all layed out different

They billed me for an ENTIRE YEAR when the car was registered and donated a month later, it wasn’t even registered in this county on Jan 1st 2018. It was retitled from Virginia Beach & registered on Feb 2, 2018 then donated to a mission facility on Feb 27th, 2018. Even provided documentation from the DMV. They still demanded a year of Taxes on this vehicle. Absured.
