I see people leaving reviews complaining about it being cash only. Lots of donut shops are cash only. Bring cash next time. The owners have been here for over 35 years...you don’t last that long if the donuts aren’t worth it. Someone else complained the owner was rude. It makes me wonder what you did to prompt that. These are the nicest people in town and I would find it highly unlikely that Sharon was rude to anyone without reason. Support local businesses!

The owners Jack & Sharon have been friends and owners of Frogy's Donuts for 35+ years. This is a small, friendly, local shop where everybody knows your name. I took my children there when they were little, my grandkids there when they were little and my great grandchildren now that they are little. One day there were 4 generations there at the same time. Their maple bars are my favorite. I don't even have to order, Sharon has one on the counter with a cup of great coffee as I walk in the door. Oh, I know donuts, I am a former San Diego PD and San Diego Sheriff Deputy.

I'm from out of town and popped in Friday early afternoon on a whim. At 12:30 they were "closed" but the door was open and they let me in. So friendly! Bought a dozen assorted doughnuts with cash (they don't take plastic). I'll admit, I wasn't super excited based on visual presentation. The doughnuts were small and looked awfully plain; a lot of cake variations, which haven't been my favorite in the past. First bite: holy smokes! Just the right amount of crispy on the outside while nice and moist on the inside. Despite their size they are remarkably hearty. I'll drive out of my way to return next time I'm close. Also felt good supporting a small, local business.

Family run for over 3 decades, Frogy's is the place to go for quality, tasty donuts. Get in early, and get them fresh and warm. While the kid loves the sprinkles, the Chocolate Twists, Buttermilks and Maple Bars are favorites with everyone that we've introduced them to.

Almost all the good donut shops are cash only, so if you want to use your card youre stuck getting crummy stale Walmart donuts. If you don’t mind going to the atm before getting breakfast, you can get a perfect donut from froggys. And believe me, they are perfect and worth the extra 5 mins of getting cash.
