International Cowboy Cocina Restaurant

This place was one of my favorite breakfast places I’ve been to, I’m kind of surprised why they don’t have more reviews. There are so many average, uninspiring breakfast places where I live at in Boise, Meridian, and Nampa that get way more love that this place, and it’s a damn shame. If you’re on your way to Sun Valley or Ketchum, I feel like this is the perfect place to have a pit stop.

Location is great, street parking is plentiful. Bathrooms are shared with other businesses (they’re in the lobby of a building that connects to this place) but were clean. Interior decorations were perfect IMO, felt super cozy. I especially liked the little touches like the long, glass bottle for water, the sauce containers, the little flower décor on the tables. No complaints on the service at all, everyone was very nice and polite. Price was reasonable, especially taking into consideration how good the food actually was.

Speaking of food, it was FANTASTIC. We got the Wagon Skillet and Huevos Rancheros, both of which I’d recommend if this is your first time here. What really sets this place apart (and why I have to show love to this place) was the food presentation. Everything was laid out so neatly on the plates that we almost felt guilty eating lol. The little details like this do get noticed, and in the end, make this place unique.

Overall, this place is 5 stars all day, I cannot recommend this place enough. I don’t think there’s anything I would change about this place, except opening a location in Boise / Meridian (OR NAMPA!!!). I feel like a lot of the breakfast places here aren’t even in the same league as this, and this restaurant wouldn’t have any issues standing out in the saturated breakfast market here.

Excellent tasting food really enjoyed the mexican flare with traditional comfort food. Chicken fried steak was done nicely plantain plate was a wonderful assortment of tasty items... organic tea and decent coffee topped off by the best service and good prices...

Friendly service. We went when they were busy and under staffed but still got our food in a timely manner. Food was excellent and fairly priced. Nice outdoor courtyard.

Well.. normally my pictures are of the food presentation and the place itself. I forgot to get a pic before I took a taste and couldn't stop. So you have a cleaned plate and says it all. "It was" sausage biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon..... perfect!!!!. The staff was great, place is clean and the rustic atmosphere invites you to stay for another helping!!, Or least come back to hang and eat.

The best burgers in Hailey Idaho! Try the Italian sodas to the mango is especially yummy.

My girlfriend and I ate here a few weeks ago and were very impressed. The service was excellent, the food was very well presented and delicious, and we loved the decor/feel of the place. Sadly this place is kind of hidden in the corner, but we're so glad we found it. Highly recommend!

Great breakfast. I am a pancake connoisseur and these were great. Spicy biscuits and gravy got 5 stars. Delicious tomato house basil soup, pork carnitas and eggs also got rave reviews. Highly recommend this local flavor place.

My husband and I really wanted to go out to a late breakfast. I wish it hadn't been rainy because the deck is so wonderful. But the inside is equally delightful! The staff and Patty are wonderful. So happy and friendly and attentive. The coffee was good and hot. The chicken fried steak is soo good, such a wonderful twist to a favorite classic. We will be back. Thank you.

I had the worst experience ever today. Yet I’m not here to leave a bad review. The food is delicious and I truly enjoyed going there at first. Service was never the best but it wasn’t too bad either. I was so excited to give support to this place since it is owned by a Hispanic family. We don’t see that a lot in this valley. I work in the service industry and I understand it’s sometimes hard to deal with customers. Which is why my family and I always try to give the least trouble at restaurants.Regardless the trouble a customer can give to me, I’ve never confronted a customer the way I was confronted today. I don’t understand why I was treated the way I was treated but what surprised me the most was that it came from the owner whom I believe should be the one wanting customers to come back.

The issue was as simple as me ordering the wrong meal. I kindly told her we had ordered something different and she was quick to blame it on me. Even then, I agreed and apologized, asked if I could please get the other meal even if I had to pay for both. Once again she blamed it on me and continued arguing. She then came back with my new meal and asked if everything was ok. By then I was feeling a little embarrassed and yes a little upset for the way I was treated. I said yes everything is fine. Then she asked why I was so mad. I said I’m not (trying to avoid further allegations) she quickly said “it seems like you’re mad and I just want you to know it wasn’t my fault it was yours for ordering the wrong meal”.
I honestly don’t know what her problem with me was, she just kept picking at the issue, even if I tried avoiding it, but either way I can understand maybe she was just having a bad day. I always leave a good tip and try to be as nice as possible. I guess she just doesn’t agree with me and doesn't appreciate my presence. Which is why I won’t go back. Regardless what happened today I would still recommend the place to friends and family because the food is really good and the place has a lot of potential. Good luck!

Cute cozy café in down town hailey Idaho.
Normal cafe prices ($12 to $17 for a big plate of food).
Healthy options as well as big hearty breakfasts served with a rustic tex-mex style.
I had the guacamole toast loaded with red onions and cilantro. It came with eggs, bacon, and queso-fresco on the side (very nice for making it dairy free).

I believe the owner was our server and she was great. The food was great.
It's an international cowboy not rustic cowboy breakfast spot. Don't expect to see ropes on the walls or big hats.

Biscuits and gravy is great. Half orders are lots of food and a good bargain. Hash browns are excellent. Also had the full order of French toast and couldn't finish it! A hidden jem for comfort food in Hailey.

We had a wonderful lunch. The chicken poblano soup was excellent as well as the rest of our meal. The decor enhanced our dining experience. Overall we loved the Cowboy Cucina and will definitely return.

Probably one of Best Breakfast Burritos Ive ever had. TONS of flavor and fresh ingredients. I had the wagon wheel skillet as a Burrito, and it was AMAZING! Great service too!

My husband and I were looking for somewhere to have breakfast in Hailey. We knew of International Cowboy Cocina but had never eaten here before. Good service, great food. Highly recommended.

Can't believe anybody has given this place less than five stars. Absolutely the best breakfast and lunch in the entire valley. We come here all the time and love it!

Just discovered Int'l Cowboy Cocina in Hailey, Idaho, and was most impressed. They had an Italian Omelette special, and, not kidding, it was the best omelette I have ever tasted. Full of sun dried tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, provolone cheese, and covered with an exquisite pesto sauce. Great family atmosphere, out of the Main St. hustle. The owner, Patty, was opened to suggestions for the menu, and willing to discuss cooking secrets, like the ingredients of her amazing tomatillo sauce. We will be back.

One of the better meals in the valley! Good quality with plenty of quantity. The owner works hard to offer a great dining experience. A must for breakfast or lunch in Hailey.
