It was my very first fly fishing experience and my goal was to learn. Our guide Brian was so good to help with do much detailsof the river and how yo fish this magical river on Sun Valley.

My husband and I had two stunning days with Matt as our guide this week. We went fly fishing for the first time and drift boat fishing down the salmon river! Incredible experiences. Matt is a great guide who really expands the adventure and is a very patient instructor We highly recommend Silver Creek who sets up everything perfectly and Matt who will guide you through a great day in such a beautiful place!!!

Our family of 4, including 2 teenage girls, were hosted by guides Pat and Brett, on 3/4 day tour. We had so much fun!! We were complete beginners, even my husband. Pat and Brett were laid back, casual, extremely knowledgeable and attentive. We split into two vehicles for a 45 minute ride and both guides were super engaging in conversation with us. Once we arrived at the river, they were patient as they thought us, guided us, encouraged us, etc. We caught a variety of fish and they told us about each one - what is native, introduced, lifecycles, etc . They even spotted two King Salmon who had come up river to spawn. We watched them for a while, as Brett explained the lifecycle to us, and some of the man made infrastructure that is impacting their survival. For a family from Georgia, it’s was a bit surreal, to be out in the river, in the mountain valley, enjoying nature - just the 6 of us as far we could see.

My adult sons and I had a wonderful time fishing with Matt and Johnny from Silver Creek Outfitters this morning. The fishing conditions were not ideal. But we all landed rainbow trout and learned how to improve our beginners' fly casting skills. The guides were friendly and helpful. Hope to use this service again.

The outfitters there are super welcoming. The price point is a bit on the higher side than what I'm used to, but you're gonna get that for the area it's located. The flies I bought on their suggestion were high quality, and with that I'm willing to pay a little higher price. I'll be going back to them in the future when I'm in the area

I was in the area for work in September and had some time to fish. After a quick 10min Google earth search around the area I found a stretch that looked fishy but it also looked questionable as it was some sort of reserve. I called the shop and Stoddard picked up and answered my questions and even have me some advice on where to from where I was. He didn't disappoint with his advice! I caught several fish in my short couple of hours I had to explore. Also didn't hurt that the elk were rutting and bugling up river from me. Thank you Stoddard for the advice! Tight lines gentlemen!

Wandered into town on a Saturday morning and came across this gem. Walked in to peruse and was greeted by a few friendly folks who wanted to make sure I was finding everything OK. As an avid fly fisherman, I never pass up the opportunity to check out gear. After surveying the impressive selection, I ended up with an arm full of items that I couldn't live without. I live roughly two hours away and when I got home I noticed I grabbed the wrong size pants off the rack and I couldn't believe I made that mistake. I sent an email explaining my issue and received a quick reply from Terry who stated that all I needed to do is send back the wrong ones and he would take care of it. I sent the pants back on a Tuesday with a return label and on Friday, to my surprise, the correct pants arrived to my office. Impressive service is an understatement. Everyone was super friendly and I highly recommend Silver Creek Outfitters to anyone in need of gear or clothing.

Silver Creek is a beautifully run establishment with world class guides. Our guide, Guy R. was phenomenal and got us into fish in challenging conditions with a first time angler. Great day!

Silver Creek had the size , color and style of Stetson that I wanted. Their price was competitive and they shipped it out quickly. Would definitely buy from them again.

Went on a guided trip with Brett and Brent and everyone on our trip hooked in to a whole bunch of fish, including one member of our party who was fly fishing for the first time. Both guides were awesome and I would highly recommend using them for future guided trips.

A fabulous first time experience fly fishing along the Big Wood River! I was in town for my brother's wedding and had some time to spare so I thought we would check out fly fishing. First things first, you need a license but that's a super easy process. Our guide was awesome and walked us through step by step on how to properly cast with a line which I had never done before. I ended up catching the most trout out of our group and will never forget this experience. Thank you, Silver Creek!

We were in Sun Valley a couple of months ago. Turned out I had forgot to pack the appropriate attire for one of the wedding events. Got a recommendation to go to Silver Creek Outfitters and it could not have been better. Picked up a very unique sport coat and shoes that it turns out I have been wearing almost every day since. can't wait for another trip to Sun Valley to give me an excuse to go to this amazing store.

Great guys! My military pension was messed up because they put me in the wrong category but I told Joe I really wanted this very specific shotgun I've been looking for forever and he discounted it as well as held it for me until Mmy military pension was lined out. The shotgun was used but looked as it it had never been touched except to clean it! Great people, great products, !!

Have gone out with silver creek a handful of times in the past and got me hooked on fly fishing when I was a kid. Every time is money well spent. My girlfriend and I went out with Brent for a 6 hour guided trip. Was absolutely blown away at how great of a dude he was and had a great time. I will continue to support this great company.

I had a great Fly Fishing 101 class with Jim today! He is a great teacher and super nice guy. I left feeling confident in basic casting technique and really excited to get on the river!

Excellent instruction and education from local guide Brett Wilson, and both locations we fished were amazing and full of fish! The store is an added bonus- beautiful with excellent selection of sports equipment and clothing. Had a wonderful time on the water with my guide Thacther. His professionalism was excellent. Being a novice he was very patient and his instructional skills where excellent. Can't say enough good things other than to say if I am back there, I would do it all over agin and request Thatcher as my guide.
