Yellowstone Giant Screen Theatre

We came in cause we saw a sign for 50 cent ice cream. The store was cute. Lots of deals. My son especially liked the rocks. I think we will stop for another ice cream run before our trip is over for sure

We came here to see the Yellowstone movie, primarily because the campground we were staying in next door afforded us a discount. The movie itself was about an hour long and pretty good. The screen and seating in the theater are top-notch.

The staff was very friendly, and you can get the kids soft serve cones for a buck - hard to beat!

Be sure to stop into the old ranger station and smoke jumper base next to the theater. It was one of our coolest experiences in West Yellowstone!

My wife and I stayed in West Yellowstone in late October this year and I can say this was hands down the best place to look and shop for souvenir type things. They had High Quailty merchandise and the staff was very Friendly, never watched the movie.

The theater itself is a typical IMAX size with slightly worse picture quality(still stunning though) and amazing sound/seats. The store that it's contained in is also very nice, with numerous types of souvenirs and snacks. Awesome place and atmosphere overall, would definitely recommend at least a quick stop here!

Movie and theater was great. Fantastic service by all the people there. The sales woman pointed out to me all the merchandise that was 50% off and I made out quite well with all my purchases. Excellent customer service by everyone I interacted with - sales people, cashier, movie guy.

Great movie on Yellowstone's history, beauty and scenery. Watch it before or after you visit the park. Well worth it!

Saw the Yellowstone doc and really enjoyed it. The popcorn was great and I got a premium seat which was super comfortable. Bonus points because they have one of the best gift shops in West Yellowstone. Def a must if you are in the area!

Great clean large screen theater with both nature shows about Yellowstone and first run movies; at reasonable prices. The staff is attentive and helpful.

IMAX - incredible as always. The inside of the theater is well blacked out. The ventilation ducts do reflect some light however. Projector did have a noticable (in lighter frames) smudge. Dolby Atmos, but does not have height channels.

Nice people, good service, great movie IMAX experience seeing Top Gun Maverick. You will have to get there 1 hour early on a busy night or new release to get good seats together, and get your paper tickets to go in the theater. Get popcorn and snacks while waiting in line. Nice gift shop also. Picture and sound were both excellent. Was surprised we could not reserve seats together. Was also surprised seats do not recline and narrow distance between seats in front of you make leaving hard once seated. Still a great experience at a very reasonable price.

Huge queue for the 7pm show, which was Top Gun. Seeing anything on an imax screen is amazing, this one felt like you were in the cockpit of a fighter jet!
The queue was quite fun, met some great people, and the theatre itself was packed. Get there early for the best seats which are not assigned. Big building, clean and nice staff, lots of gifts😊

I didn't go to a movie but their retail store inside is AWESOME. Go there before any other store and they have .99 cent soft self serve ice cream cones.

Great 40 minute movie. The aerial helicopter views of the vistas were awesome. We got to the West Yellowstone entrance as they shut the park down due to historical flooding. The IMAX movie really eased our disappointment!

Great theatre. Went to see Yellowstone. Dolby Atmos is incredible. Decent prices for tickets and goodies.

For the price this is a great experience. It is unlikely you will see a grizzley in Yellowstone and you can see several here. They are all very active.
You can use your receipt to come back the next day making the price very affordable and what a great way to help support taking care of the animals. The otters are so much fun to watch them play.
This place was much better than the park. No crowds, easy parking, shade, and bears, wolves, birds, otters and more.

This is such a nice facility and the gift shop had quality items. The owners were sweet and imparted some wisdom about the park to us. Fresh popcorn with butter... Can't beat that!
