Edit:

Updated because they have scheduled more events for sewers. I love Jessica as she is so kind and helpful. My love of sewing blossomed from the maker-space. I now have a space at cowbell kitchen because of the maker-space. Thank you for reading my review and making an effort to create more events

I would like it if this library had events for sewing. You go to Chantilly and Herndon who have almost no budget for a maker-space and even they have classes.

Possibly the cleanest in the metro area. No musty smell.
However, too noisy, i'm sorry to say. Folks converse in normal tones as if they're at the local grocery store. People on facetime, group discussions ..

Putting a huge sign at the entrance....to use whisper quiet tones ( i.e this is a -library- .... for whispering out loud) maybe in order

It's very rare that I feel it's necessary to provide a google review. But today is one of those days. The staff at Rust Library are absolutely fantastic! The passport service support that my family received today was incredible, staff were highly efficient, knowledgeable, and the library has a very warm and welcoming feel. The library itself is also awesome, if you live close to this gem, consider yourself blessed!

Love this place. It has activities for kids, a separate teen area with games, movies and books both on premise and online. Finally, there's a Maker room with a 3d printer.

Clean, friendly, quiet, sunny, and airy. Overlooks a neighborhood on one side, a cemetery on another, and has a great park nearby with picnic tables. Also right next to ida lee park. WiFi is great and there are multiple outlets on each table. Also have several study rooms you can use for 2 hours. They tend to fill up quickly, though. So lucky to have this gem accessible to us.

Fantastic library with excellent staff. They have always been so helpful and even put on display really great book suggestions! Love that they have 3D printers and a really cool Teen area. They have also had mask requirements and curbside pickup for books to help families during this time. So proud that this is our local library.

Now this is a great local library! Driving through to PA, we stopped off for children's music storytime. It was packed, and the kids loved it. Nice little play area for kids. The bathrooms were clean. On the non-kid side, I saw many open computer terminals. Most libraries I visit, all the computers are always taken, but they have ample here. Everything was clean and well laid out. Thank you Rust Library!

I love this library. I was part of a focus group when I was a teenager when they were gearing up to renovate. They took our suggestions to heart and created a cool teen area. There are several study rooms and a huge children's section (like half the library). Librarians and reference desk are very helpful. Kids can check out American girl dolls and iPads. As a college student it is a nice and quiet place to study. I wish there were more study rooms, but there is a 3 hour limit for each room so if you just hangout for a while you will be able to get one.

Today was the first time I have been to the rust library since i was about 10 years old. I'm home for break from college for the week, and I had some work I needed to get done, and there were too many distractions at my house. My dad recommended I go to the Rust Library, and trusting my dad's recommendation I got my books and went to the library. I was skeptical at first, but I walked in, sat down at a table, and started on my work. I had a few questions about the internet access, printing documents, etc. The staff was more than happy to help me out, and answered all of my questions with pinpoint accuracy. The new renovations here and the staff make this a great place to sit and read, get work done, and meet up with friends for study groups. I had an awesome experience here. I recommend this place to anyone that wants a good book, needs to get work done, or a quiet place to come and reflect. The rust library was one of my favorite spots as a little kid in grade school, and while the look of it may have changed since the last time i was here, the feel of it and the experience of being here certainly hasnt changed one bit. The staff, the environment, and just the warm welcoming feeling you get from the staff is just phenomenal.

I am surprised this does not have a 5 star ratings! I LOVE the Rust Library. It is amazingly convenient. The staff there are very helpful and their selection is out of this world. Before I decide to buy any book I check to see if they have it and 95% of the time they have the book. They are also connected to libraries in the area as well as the InterLoan system that is connected to many libraries in the nation. They also have many helpful database for everything you can think of. Did I mention they also have blue ray movies, current music, and video games for many game consoles to borrow as well. I am so happy that I am a member there and you should check it out if you live in the area!

Offering Leesburg a haven of free resources, the Rust Library is a wonderful library to visit to. It remains nicely updated and manages to offer a large number of PCs free for use. Rust does well to offer a good and varied amount of multimedia beyond books and other print forms. For young adults, a teen area is secluded to provide teens their own suggested reading material, a quiet environment to study, and a chance to interact and work with peers. Rust is definitely worth having a membership to if you're a local!
