For several months, the pier, located in beautifully historical Culpeper Virginia, has been under New Management. Four friendly professional young ladies have taken over. The ambiance ,food, and service are greatly improved. No , that's an
understatement: The food is delicious!
Enthusiasm, open smiles, off the hook good food all wrapped in Culpepper's unique hospitality, with a sophisticated twist , the Pier seems to have it all.
There's more. Music: jazz, country, a little bluegrass, rock, hip hop, and great crowds with room to dance.
Wine and dine night, music trivia, karaoke, open mic, pizza, Toccos,and professionally prepared FRESH SEAFOOD EVERYDAY.
Seasoned entertainers sitting in with some exceptionally talented local musicians. You owe it to yourself to go to the pier; order some killer food and/or your favorite cold beverage. Aspiring entertainers give it your best shot on open mic night or just Sit back, enjoy a great meal with your beverage of choice . I did just that on open mic night and was absolutely amazed by the entertainment, especially the emotional and heartfelt delivery of a young blues singer , that, by the way, is not at all hard on the eyes. Hungry or just looking for a great place to go out for the night, get in your car, or take a train ride ( the restaurant is just yards from the historical Culpeper train station) and get yourself down to the pier; great food, diverse entertainment genre, friendly professional management. I really liked this place . Hopefully, you will, too.

Very comfortable and cool on the hottest day of the year.Food was hot,fresh and delicious. Plenty of seating and great ambiance. Cold beer was great with our fish tacos special.Good menu selection, specials and prices.

What a gem! The seafood was fresh and delicious, portions were generous, and prices were reasonable. The food is freshly prepared while you wait, the Mac n cheese is to die for (not boxed but homemade). The fried seafood platter for $20 is amazing, lightly breaded (you can't pick it off). Key lime pie tart and smooth. No, it is not trendy looking, but it is clean, and the service (Grace) is friendly and efficient.

Best Seafood I have had in a long time! Friendly staff and great place to stop in for just a drink as well. Tvs had the football I wanted and did I mention the GREAT! I mean Great Food! Fish, Oysters, Clams, shrimp, hush puppies and okra all of it was awesome!

Out of towners looking for something other than fast food. We arrived around 1:30pm and when we walked it was empty except for a few people at the bar. It did have a cigarette smoke smell that was off-putting. It initially seemed as though it's more of a bar than a restaurant. We stayed and had lunch and I'm glad we did. The food came out fast was good, the portions were large and the price was decent. We got the crab dip appetizer, my husband ordered the fish and chips, he says the fish was good, lightly breaded and seasoned good, I got the crab clusters and a crab cake which also came with fries. Our bill was $50. The waitress was fantastic, attentive, and very nice. As we were leaving she addressed a patron that entered and he was shocked that she remembered what he ordered and what he liked about his meal and how he ordered his oysters, as this was only the second time he had been there and the first time had been a few weeks prior. All in all I would definitely recommend this restaurant for lunch.

Best crab cake I’ve had in a long while, lots of meat, almost not enough breading and BIG. My hand measures 9 1/2 tip to tip and this covered my palm.

The catfish bargained with me...if I would stop trying to eat him he would get me a cod fish n' chips at The Pier.

It was a good deal.

Good food, great servers, awesome atmosphere. MD crab soup is fabulous!

Went here for dinner tonight and can’t speak highly enough about it. The Buffalo chicken wings were great. My wife had the Cajun Alfredo which she loved. But the seafood platter was amazing. Clams, oysters, shrimp and the crab cake. It was all perfect. The service was also great. We had our kids and they had .99 kids meals on Monday. They loved their food as well.

I’ve been coming here for a long time and have always liked the low key, dive bar atmosphere. But tonight we realized that the new owners have really made some changes and it’s great to see a really good seafood place in Culpeper.

The food was really good here. The fish was very clearly fresh and the fried food was crispy and not dried out. Again really good. The day we went there was live music which was fantastic. The lead singer was totally talented. I don't know the name of their band or I would put it here. The server was attentive. In the price point is very good as well. The day we went there was not a lot of parking close by but I did not mind the walk to the restaurant; it's in a very cute town.

We ate this evening at The Pier. The staff was short handed and did an amazing job at taking care of the customers. The food was perfect! We ate fish/chip/hush-puppies and fried shrimp/ chips. The place was clean and had a nice atmosphere. Would and will go back when back in the area. Again the staff today was amazing!

It was restaurant week and they were outstanding. Best crab soup I've ever had, blackened Mahi was seasoned just right and my husband's scallops were perfect, not over done or rubbery. Friends service. We'll be back!

We went with friends and we all enjoyed our meals! The hush puppies were delicious and fresh, the fish was nice and think, and the Mac and Cheese was creamy and perfect! The only downer about our night was the crappy service. Our server was obviously irritated about something, which reflected on her service. She ignored us the entire time and was pretty rude in response to some of our questions. Although the service was pretty bad, the food was great and we enjoyed our visit. Highly recommended, just try not to get that server 😂

Friendly place. Pretty busy on Friday night. Very stiff drinks. Great oysters on the half shell. Wings were very small compared to other places but still tasty

The food was really good. They had live music, which was a little overwhelming for dinner conversation, but admittedly we were there late for dinner. Seems like it could be a fun place to hang out on the weekend and a nice place for dinner during the week.

I am fairly new to Culpeper, have pretty much eaten at every restaurant in the pepper......stopped in at Davis Street Pier for first time tonight for dinner and was pleasantly surprised! The oysters on the half shell so fresh and delicious. The fish and chips were perfect! My husband had the brisket sandwich and was very happy. The atmosphere was perfect (clean and quaint) the service was great. I highly recommend. Forgot....food and drink prices are amazing.

Waitress were amazing with friendly and efficient service. The drinks were tasty and boozalicious. Great selection of seafood with a dash of all American food. Would recommend for night out on the town.

Oh my, the shrimp and crab dip is amazing! But, generous portions for every meal, fries are really good, and the service is stellar. We'll definitely be going back!

We went for the first time since the new owners took over... what a great place! Service was super and the food was fantastic! We got mussels, stuffed mushrooms, and the shrimp basket... will definitely be back!!!

Davis St Pier is amazing! The staff are always friendly and upbeat. The food is of the highest quality. The atmosphere is great. They are always improving their menu and dinning room to make the experience better. The best part is the owner makes you feel like your part of the family which is rare these days. Best fish & chips I've ever had, hands down! I highly recommend you visit this place if you've got a craving for seafood and friends
