J. Morris Flowers

J Morris Flowers did our wedding for us last month. They were actually picked by our wedding planner, and mostly spoke with her throughout the process, but did an excellent job of following through on our vision. We wanted lots of bright colors that would really pop, and they delivered! We first met them during our 30 day walkthrough at the venue and I was impressed with the fact that they had a list of flowers they were planning to use in our bouquets and decorations to share with us. They also helped talk us through some decor ideas for the venue space, as we were trying to cut back a little bit, since the numbers for the whole event were really adding up. They were able to give us ideas of how to stay within our vision but reduce some of the cost! They even offered to deliver a sample bouquet to my house the following week, and listened to the feedback that I gave when I asked for less pink and red and more yellows, oranges, blues and purples. The ceremony and reception areas looked beautiful day of, and so many guests commented on how beautiful the flowers looked!!

I had the most wonderful experience for my wedding with the team here at J. Morris Flowers. From the initial discovery call to go over my vision, to the check in before the wedding, it was seamless and the team certainly delivered.

The flowers were so fresh and stunning they really brought together my entire dream wedding and the added feathers pulled in were a perfect touch.

I highly recommend getting the package that includes the take down from the arch to be repurposed in the reception.

I had the team create my arch florals, wedding bouquet, corsages for the moms and flower crowns for the flower girls.

Todd and the team are AMAZING. They made the most incredible arrangements for my baby shower and were so great to work with. Just fabulous work and we can’t wait to use them again!

I found J.Morris flowers by accident when I first moved to the area. My maiden name is J. Morris so I got a kick out of that and because of it they were the only florist I contacted about doing my flowers. Mark and I eloped and I ordered a bridesmaid bouquet because I wanted something smaller. The flowers were fresh and gorgeous!! I joked that I was going to carry them around with me until they died. :) Thank you for the beautiful arrangement that really added to the beauty of our big day. I highly recommend hiring J. Morris Flowers as your wedding florist! When I started the process of picking a florist, I was shocked by how expensive prices were in this area. I wanted to invest in high quality florals without exceeding my budget. Most florists set a minimum spend (which was still pretty high, in my opinion) just to commit to working on your wedding. J. Morris didn't have a minimum spend, and were happy to work within the budget I had in mind. They were also recommended by my wedding planner so I knew I could trust them from the beginning! I worked with Sheila and Janice, who were both amazing! I am a very picky person (to say the least) and they listened to all my ideas and helped curate the perfect florals for my wedding. I appreciated how open they were to continued tweaks throughout the process. They even delivered all the way to DC! Overall, they truly brought my vision to life and the florals turned out better than I ever imagined.

J. Morris Flowers was my florist for my July wedding. They were so easy to work with and chose the perfect flowers to compliment our wedding vision! The flowers were fresh, smelled lovely, and lasted all day. They did a fantastic job with set up and decoration, and even came back to clean up. I recommend checking them out for your floral needs.

I highly recommend hiring J. Morris for your wedding! Shelia and Jen went above and beyond in building a floral design that matched exactly what I was looking for. They are experienced, knowledgeable, kind, creative, patient, supportive and thoughtful. During the wedding planning process, Shelia helped me identify exactly what I wanted and executed flawlessly. The end result was event more beautiful than I could have ever pictured. They have an incredible team and work like a well-oiled machine. You can’t find a better florist in the DMV.

You can stop your search for a florist - you have to book J. Morris! We booked them for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding day. They were prompt (even early!) for set up and everything looked stunning. They nailed my vision! I worked with Sheila throughout the planning process. She was super communicative, collaborative, and worked with me through a few rounds of changes as my vision changed. During our final meeting, they provided a beautiful live sample that I was able to take home with me. I was also able to see options for the candles, vases, etc. in person, which was so helpful. Our guests gave us so many compliments on our flowers. I can't recommend them enough!

We used J Morris Flowers for our spring wedding and they were perfect for our event. We highly recommend them for future weddings. The goal of the wedding was light and airy and we wanted the flowers to reflect that. J Morris easily understood the goal and was happy to use a pinterest board as inspiration. They really understood from the beginning what the vision was for the entire wedding and provided recommendations and ideas that fit with the vision. The flowers used for the centerpiece of the table and the bouquets were gorgeous and matched our vision perfectly. J Morris overall was super communicative and easy to work with. We would highly recommend them for any future weddings.

This my first time ordering flowers with J. Morris and definitely not my last. As a new client, you receive a discount on your first order. For some reason, (probably my technology-deficient-skills) the code did not work. I went ahead and ordered on-line regardless and shared a brief note indicating my issue. Within hours, I received a courteous and professional phone call from a team-member offering to assist me by adding “extra” flowers to the bouquet while they pursued the discount glitch. THIS NEVER HAPPENS anymore, sadly. What a fantastic vision for customer service and business practices. If I could, I’d actually send J.Morris flowers. (But then, they’d know who sent them, since I’d only be ordering from them from this day forward) Kudos to J.M!! Btw: the flowers were spectacular!

J. Morris Flowers was my florist for my March wedding. They were so easy to work with and accommodated my order with little notice. The pricing was more than reasonable, the flowers were fresh, smelled lovely, and matched the expectations they gave me on the proposal. I even placed an order for a last minute bouquet for an additional bridesmaid and they were happy to help. I recommend checking them out for your floral needs.

J Morris Flowers did an absolutely stunning job with our wedding flowers. Because we were getting married in a beautiful setting, we wanted a classy look but natural look. They delivered on that and then some, and worked with us on our last minute quantity changes. We especially appreciated the meeting beforehand to see how the flowers would come together as well as the extra flowers they brought for the photographer (so we didn’t have to pick anything out of the bouquets). They also provided candles and other decor as rentals, making it an easy one stop shop for our tables. Additionally, they were able to incorporate items into my wife’s bouquet that were sewn by her grandmother, allowing the experience to be unique and special. We would recommend J Morris anytime.

I had a wonderful experience! immediately was greeted with a smile, determined exactly what my needs were and produced one of the most beautiful bouquets I’ve ever seen within 10 minutes. 100% recommend.

I have to admit that I spent an absurd amount of time looking at Pinterest weddings and had approximately $3 to my name so I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to find a florist who was willing to work with my budget but Sheila was happy to accommodate to my needs and budget without compromising my vision and was such a joy to work with. She gave me the best advice when it came to “ballin’ on a budget” and picking out the perfect florals (thank you for NOT letting me have a full baby’s breath wedding LOL) and her team executed my vision to a T!

I requested an Ikebana style of arrangement for my centerpiece and they went above and beyond for the design and even gifted me a sample! I had some last minute changes about flower colors so I wasn’t sure how the final bouquets would look but when they were delivered to the venue - I was IN LOVE. I asked for romantic, modern, and whimsical and J. Morris checked off every box. They used all my favorite flowers and the colors were just so, so beautiful. Even the pickiest floral enthusiast (a.k.a my mom) fawned over my wedding flowers and snuck a couple centerpieces home. 😉

Long review short, I cannot recommend J. Morris enough! Sheila and her team are so attentive, ultra talented, and are a JOY to work with. No matter the occasion, budget, or style, rest assured that they will make all your floral dreams come true! 💐💕

If I could, I would give 10 stars to J. Morris. My initial consult call in March 2021 was so enjoyable and I was blown away by the attention to detail in the proposal. I signed the contract in April 2021 and literally never looked back. In March 2022, I reached out and was connected with Sheila! Chatting with Sheila made me feel like I was chatting with a friend. She offered me the opportunity to visit the studio prior to making my final selections for our wedding - and it was so nice to be in person!! I felt completely confident when I had my final meeting with Sheila (one month before the big day) that everything was going to be gorgeous (and it was!). I shrieked with delight when my bouquet was delivered!

Some things to keep in mind: J. Morris was extremely responsive via email and was supportive when I asked for an extra boutonniere (one week out).

We kept one of our centerpieces and it lasted 8 days! 8 days!!! (photo included)

Normally I order flowers from ftd or one of the national flower services and it is always stressful. They are never delivered when promised. They over promised on delivery dates and you spend your time following up with customer service. This time I wanted to use a local company in case there was a problem, I didn't have to deal with a large call center. I have to say j Morris flowers exceeded my expectations. I ordered on their site on Sunday and asked for a next day delivery. She received the flowers before 4pm on monday and they are beautiful. I will definitely order again for birthdays etc. My mother in law loves to get flowers delivered and now I have my local supplier. You can't go wrong with their service.

We just moved to this area this year, and every valentine's day I get my wife flowers (nice ones, delivered, to start our romantic day /weekend). Finding a reliable and talented florist can be difficult. I came into the shop 2 days before Valentine's day. The nice young lady behind the counter was pleasant and friendly, helped me decide what I was looking for (since I try to avoid the "cookie-cutter" box o' flowers or red roses with babies breath). I try to look for something with a little taste and she described a nice bouquet 💐 that wasn't on the site and described it as "designer's choice". Well, that can go a number of different ways, and since I didn't know them I wasn't holding my hopes as high as usual. When she said the price, I was also pretty sure that what I will get would not meet my expectations....Well, I can honestly say that this is one of the nicest bouquets that she has recieved; and for a reasonable price. Flowers were fresh, color variety was pleasant, beautifully arranged, well presented and overall just really pretty. I mean roses with hydrangeas, peonies (which I never see anymore and seem to be hard to come by) , and something I don't recognize to give it some height and a lite touch of green to give it width and a touch of naturalness makes it seem freshly picked....all in a lightly pink shaded vase, nice touch. Highly recommend this shop. Thank you.

J. Morris Flowers provided the floral arrangements for a wedding at Fleetwood Farm that I photographed this past weekend. Everything was absolutely beautiful. The bridal bouquet and centerpieces where stunning! Highly recommend!

I used J. Morris Flowers for my December 2023 wedding. Jen and her team were so helpful from the very beginning. They helped me select arrangements that would complement our venue and the vibe we were going for while keeping in mind our budget. They even made several suggestions for how we could save money without losing the vision we were hoping for. The arrangements and bouquets were beautiful and their set up was flawless.

We really enjoyed working with J. Morris Flowers for our 55-person wedding. They helped us make our vision a reality and created beautiful works of art within our budgets. Jennifer was so kind and helpful, and understood our needs. The team created masterpieces for our winter wedding and delivered and set them up effortlessly. Highly recommend!
