Legacy Barbershop

So Culpeper has many things going for it, and this classic-style barbershop is one of them. Leon is from Culpeper so his place of business has that true hometown connection and that in itself is a hard thing to find. Do yourself a favor and book your appointment before going, and if you do a walk-in, Leon will always give you an opening when he can provide services next. So if you want that old-school barbershop vibe where you and the barber can talk while he cuts your hair then look no further as this style of barbershop is hard to find with all those franchise barbershops opening all over the place. The services provided are a fair price compared to many other barbershops. I'll end this by saying, make sure you tip the barber, my friends, as the services provided are like a lost art because these days, it's hard to find good barbers.

As a woman, I was a little intimidated about getting my haircut at a Barbershop. But Leon was very professional, friendly and an excellent barber. I most definitely will return.

Just moving to Culpeper I needed to establish a barber. Having had the same person cut my hair for 23 yrs. I thought it might be challenging.

What can I say, Leon is the man! I've tried different barber shops in the past and either the cut or the atmosphere wasn't right. Then I found Leon and Legacy Barbershop around 2004-2005. Yes, you heard that correctly, I've been a loyal customer of Leon's for 15 years and I wouldn't dare go anywhere else. The shop is in a good location, the atmosphere is awesome, and Leon is just an all around great guy. So if you are looking for a Barber for you and/or the family look no further, you won't be disappointed!

If you are looking for a beard person, Leon is by far the best person that I’ve been to. His cuts are on point. Took my son here and the Barber is very personable and professional and also did a great job on my sons fade. Also I want to add that he is appointment only. There was no wait time and it wasn't crowded like other shops. Highly recommend.

Being from NY/NJ I always had a great barber. So when I moved here in 2012 that was one of the things I looked for. I went to few different barbers in the area but they didn't cut it! One day I stumbled upon Legacy Barbershop and I've been going to Leon ever since. If your looking for the old school barbershop atmosphere, being treated like family, and most importantly a great haircut then Legacy is the place!! I recommend Leon to anyone!

I absolutely love taking my son here to get his hair cut. Very friendly and layback atmosphere . If u want a hair cut or touch up, this place here is were u need to go. I started going to Leon 3 years ago after dealing with many unprofessional barbers throughout culpeper and I will say Leon is by far the best person I have came across. He has not only given me excellent hair cuts but also given new perspectives on life in general. He has made me and my other family members feel at home and has been very professional. When I go to Leon I always know he is going to give me a clean fresh cut.

Leon was great! Made an appointment for 2 p.m. and got there a few minutes early. The shop has a very virus protocol friendly setup. Just the one barber... Taking appointments.

My son's haircut is really nice. I've honestly been cutting his hair, or taking him to the chain esthetician shops, because i used to hate spending the majority of a Saturday in a barbershop talking about sports and guy stuff. But gotta be honest (and no harm intended), I needed a little more "soul" going on around my boys head. And Neither myself nor the chain shop were "cutting" it in that arena. So, i googled barbers in Culpeper and Legacy had great reviews. We were in and out and less than an hour. AND we still managed to fit in some grown men discussion about sports, fatherhood, faith, just.... Grown man talk. No cursing, no egos. Just genuine kid friendly conversation and a great hair cut. My boy looks great. I'll have to post some pics, but trust me.

The shop is located in a neat spot in down town Culpeper, near the train Depot at the end of the one street. Sorry, I'm terrible with directions and landmarks. Parking wasn't hard to find, but i did get a little turned around as to exactly where the shop was after i found parking. Google maps was actually giving me the correct walking directions, after we parked. The shop is pretty tiny in comparison to other shops typically. So i didn't see a clear marker that i was approaching the shop until i was about to walk past it. But once we found it.... It was all good from there. Great guy. Great personality. Nostalgia, ambiance, quality. I appreciate that. I want my son to have that same experience that i had as a kid. Leon at legacy made me feel that. Will definitely be going back and will definitely recommend Legacy to other parents of other curly headed biracial boys with African American fathers. 🤣🤭😏(And definitely not forgetting mi hermanos latinos! They got that curly soft stuff too...lolol)! And the prices are great. I may just have to stop hacking up my head in the basement bathroom and see what Leon can do with this confused hairline. Lol!

Leon is one ☝ of the best barbers in Northern to Central Virginia. He has excellent attention to detail and got the cut right the first time.

I just moved to town. He was funny and very welcoming like I have lived here for ever. Haircut was quick and just what I wanted.

Its been 5 years since I last had a cut from Leon but dont sleep on him he cut my son and myself clean cut sharp line up I live. Hour away but you best believe I'll be back in 2 weeks to get us done again thanks Leon for one of the best cuts I had in along time
