Amazing food! So delicious!! I haven’t had good Greek food since I lived in SC 13 years ago and this surpasses it by far! Albana was personable and made for a great first visit! We live one hour away and was passing through on our way home from a weekend in the mountains! We will definitely be making the drive whenever we have a craving for Greek!

This is from our first visit here; Erin was our server. We loved everything we tried. The only thing we may do differently the next time we order the gyro pie, is have the tzaziki on the side because we prefer it cold. Either way, it was delicious! And the robo-kitty server was weird but fun. LOL

I love Albana's! The food is amazing and reasonably priced. You get authentic dishes and if you talk to the owner she has some amazing stories of her upbringing. I have enjoyed every visit!

Everything I've tried here has been top drawer. I'm Greek so I'm pretty critical about Greek food. This place is a keeper.
9.7.2022. Stopped in for with one of my sons. First time for him and he was equally impressed. Had the Gyro sandwich and he said it was great. I had the special which was Kotopita. Chicken wrapped in filo with feta and other vegetables. Delicious.

Our first night trying them and our takeout was absolutely delicious! The staff was so welcoming and personable and the food... It was perfectly seasoned, the portions were generous, and the pita bread and tzatziki was some of the best I've had locally. We can't wait to visit again!

Not sure how we missed this gem of a place in Culpeper, but we are super glad to know about it.

Authentic Greek food, served in a café-style establishment. Lots of great choices on the menu for lunch and dinner. The owner let us know she will be starting up breakfast service soon.

Some of the highlights... the warm dolmas are beefy and the house lemon sauce is a perfect pairing for them. The chicken souvlaki was my favorite over the pork - so juicy and tender. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his moussaka. The warm pita has a wonderful nutty character to it and the house yogurt dip is delish.

The baklava is made in-house. A little bit heavy on the cinnamon for me but still yummy.

Can't wait to dine here again.

PS: They have a robot server that is fun and efficient.

Food is fresh and delicious. They have a bot that delivers your food - pretty novel. The Baklava is the best we've ever had. Love it!

Always unique, yummy, and filling. The coffee wonderful too! Each cup made fresh. I’ve eaten many items on the menu, but was the most pleasantly surprise by the grilled chicken Greek salad. One of the best salads I’ve had.

We came on a busy Friday night and it took a long time to get our food...BUT there is a reason for that! The food is made by a Greek expert who puts her heart into each item! It's all made from scratch and excellent! I got the greek salad and it was super fresh. My wife got the stuffed peppers. Also fantastic. Try this place if you haven't! Those that have already know. Great job you guys!

Best Greek food I’ve had since moving to Virginia! Olive plate and zucchini sticks for appetizers, plus a house offering of pita and tzatziki.....excellent!
Four different mains, all very, very good! Alicia, our server, was prompt, helpful, and genuinely friendly...
Wonderful experience and fantastic food - definitely coming back!

Just had lunch — once again, best Greek food I’ve had since moving back to the US! Everything, and I mean everything, was delicious! Albana and Vic are wonderful hosts - made us feel like family! I encourage all who like Greek food to visit this treasure!

11 SEP update: had lunch again earlier today…just as good as the last time!

I have to tell you, I was so incredibly impressed with this whole place. When I first walked in, the atmosphere was great. Not crowded, they had the absolute coolest table lights. You could control the light on your own table for menu viewing purposes. It really set the tone. Then the food. Omg was it amazing. I met the owners of Albanas, they were very nice people. The wife is the head chef that actually is from Greece. Her food is Cooked so fresh. While talking to them, they were very clear that they wouldn't have it any other way. You can't find that anymore. It means so much. I read a few of the other reviews on here about how long it takes to get the food, to me, these must've been people looking for fast food in a sit down restaurant, this aint burger King people... it's worth the wait. My food didn't take long at all. The appetizers were sooooo good. Omg this spicy crumbled feta cheese was to die for. I'd love it if they sold it by its self I'd order it online and have it shipped to the house. I was so impressed with this place given the location and the end of a mini strip. I gotta say, the reviews that I read and their Google score pointed me here. If you're reading this trust me, go here, get the appetizers, and grab you a Gyro. You won't be disappointed, if you are you probably need slapped.

Albana's Taverna is an absolute gem and I'd be lying if I said it wasn't one of the best Greek restaurants I've tried. I don't live too close to Culpeper either (my mom and I were actually just passing through on a road trip), so it was serendipitous that I even found this restaurant in the first place.

Enough backstory, on to the meal. For a starter, we had warm pita bread served with tzatziki sauce. The pita was light, fluffy, and even-texured, with a hint of olive oil and the tzatziki was creamy and slightly tangy.

The next appetizer was Dolma (stuffed grape leaves). I am no expert in Greek food, but thought Albana's had an interesting take on this recipe. Most often, I see this recipe made without meat, but Albana's includes meat inside of their grape leaves. They also drizzled the grape leaves with a balsamic glaze, which provided a bit of a sweet tasting flavor that contrasted nicely with the Dolma.

My main dish was a gyro served with a Greek salad. All of the ingredients in the salad were very fresh and crisp, and the meat in the gyro was tender. Another standout of the meal were the roasted potatoes that came with the gyro (it usually comes with fries but you can order substitutions).

I should also mention that you'll spend a lot less money at Albana's than you would for a comparative meal in the DMV.

We love this place! The food is absolutely delicious. Just had Albana’s pork sandwich the other day and it is ridiculous how good and flavorful it is. The gyros are top notch, the fries are crispy and delicious, and the Greek salad is perfectly dressed. We will continue to go back to try every item on the menu. Recommended 10/10!

Some of the best Greek food I have had outside Greece. The Moussaka and Souvlaki are excellent. Albania always comes out and speaks with my wife and I, much the same as we experienced in Greece. Our go to restaurant for Greek dining!

Stumbled upon Albana's when we were in Culpeper shopping. Hands down, without question, the BEST meal I have had in quite some time. The restaurant is clean, inviting, cozy and very nicely decorated. Everything we ate... from the warm pita bread, to the zucchini fries, to the salmon... downright AMAZING!!! I will be back over and over again! Do yourself a favor and stop in. You will not be disappointed!!! I can't stress how highly I would recommend Albana's!

Great food and service. Went there for dinner after our hike at Shenandoah. Must try there is their Zucchini fries. Chicken souvlaki was great too. We also ordered Mousaka and Pastitsio. The food was delicious.

Fantastic, authentic Greek food in huge portions at very reasonable prices. A very welcoming place with handpainted tables, chairs, and walls in Greek colors and patterns. They serve a selection of Greek beers and wines.

We tried several appetizers and all were delicious (and large). Neither of us was able to finish our main dishes (pictured), each of which could feed at least two people. Each main dish only cost about $15-16!
