Sugar Magnolia Bistro & Bar

First time eating here and I must say overall everything was really good! I forgot our waitress name, but she was really good and attentive. She recommended the Chef's special so I had the surf and turf and the steak was seasoned to perfection. Only thing was my shrimp were cooked a lil under for my liking. My husband had the filet and loved it. The drinks were good too! The restaurant is small, but had a great atmosphere. I will definitely be back.

The service was great. Our server was very efficient and knowledgeable.
I had the filet with mashed potatoes and grilled broccolini. It was one of the better filets i have had. It was cooked to a perfect medium. My daughter had the caesar salad which was phenomenal. She also ordered the soup of the day. it was corn potato chowder. she doesnt eat meat so she asked how it was prepared beforehand. She was told it was made with chicken broth which was fine. however, it had chunks of sausage in it. She picked around it but the kitchen may want to be more detail oriented when it comes to knowledge of preparation in case of food allergies.
They had oysters on special so i ordered a half dozen at 3.50 per oyster. For the price i wasnt impressed with the size or taste. they were incredibly small. As someone who works in the industry i know restaurants cant control the quality or size of the food they recieve and therefore have to sell it or lose money so that takes nothing away from this restaurant as i know that was completely out of their realm of control. The mignonette that was served with the oysters was very good tho.

All in all, this is a five star restaurant. From the libations, the service and the food i would say this is definitely one of the better restaurants in Statesboro and we will definitely be returning.
I have heard nothing but the absolute best things about their brunch and look forward to trying it soon.

This was my first time eating at Sugar Magnolia. My first impressions was high energy, great atmosphere but warm. The service was outstanding. The wait staff wasn't hitting us. They brought us our drinks, which were very good, and let us enjoy them before asking if we wanted to start with any starters. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip with cristini bread and it was delicious. I ordered the 14oz steak and pomfriets. The steak was cook to perfection and the fries were really good. My wife had the shrimp ravioli.and it too was delicious. The cost of the food was very reasonable for the quality of service and food. It is was better than the other high end restaurant in Statesboro.

Caroline is a delight and the food is out of this world! You definitely need to come check this place out. I wish I could give them more stars!!!

A friend recommended this restaurant and it did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and the food was excellent. I had the salmon with quinoa and chocolate mousse for dessert.

Such a great first visit to this restaurant! We were pleasantly surprised and amazed by them! For drinks we got a sweet tea and a bacon old fashioned, which were well made. For the meals, we ordered the breakfast waffle sandwich, a berry french toast, and scrambled eggs with bacon. Every thing came out within 15 minutes of ordering and was all so delicious. The food was so good that we even chose to get a dessert, which was a delicious creme brulee. Overall super impressed and cannot wait to go again!

Yesterday we ate there 1st time had salad an pizza, so delicious. Went back today for brunch had French toast, poached eggs, an fruit, both days had a lavender latte, sooooo amazing an delicious.. we love this place. Will be eating there tomorrow too. While we're visiting in town for few days . Service is so awesome too, all. the staff are wonderful, am so sweet an nice. Thank you for making our visit here wonderful.

The food here was amazing! I ordered the she-crab soup and fried pita sandwich. Both were absolutely excellent. The server was new but very attentive. The tea was okay; not quite sweet enough for "southern" style but that's just my personal preference. The fries were seasoned and really great! Its expensive, though, over $30 after tip. Quality is worth it, but this is a rare treat, not daily lunch.

I have been frequenting this establishment for a few months now and can confidently say that Sugar Magnolia is one of the best cafes in Statesboro (if not the best). They have bread on the shelves pretty much every day of the week, which speaks to their consistency. I have a bread schedule to verify this. The food is great whether its brunch waffles or spaghetti carbonara for dinner. The service is excellent with an array of experienced bartenders and baristas. I have never had an outrageous wait time even on busy days, especially when Emily is working. Emily is a shining example of the kind of excellent service I am talking about. She always appears to have a great attitude and goes out of her way to make sure you are taken care of. This may be the only cafe I have ever frequented that almost always has Bob Ross playing and I have no choice but to be in a good mood when I see him painting trees on the TV. All in all, I recommend Sugar Magnolia to anyone wants a good cafe experience and/or breathes. Peace.

We had the Valentine’s Day food tasting menu. It was delicious! Service was great and the atmosphere was perfect. We will definitely be back.

Everything is always great. We are an hour away but anytime we are in statesboro we make it a point to stop by. Always great service but the last time we went we had Q as our server. Can't remember her name but her nickname was Q. She was awesome and the coffee was also.

New menu! My daughters are pescetarian, and they love it because there are lots of options to choose from. The filet is amazing! Best food in the Boro! Incomparable dining experience💕

Every week I come through for the amazing berry salad with salmon! Yes, you got it, it’s me again…Grace:) My only issue is why the berries on the salad don’t stay the same. Blueberries and strawberries should remain consistent. They’re both at the grocery stores now, yet sometimes when I order, it only has one fruit on there. Hmm. Just sayin’.
The rest is pure heaven!

5 stars aren’t enough for this place! Exceptional food and mimosas (Lavender and Raspberry were my faves)! Ash was a fantastic waitress! A coworker recommended this place and we are so thankful he did! Can’t wait to dine here again!

Exceptional place for brunch. Couldn’t be any better

I had to stop in the middle of our brunch to write this review. The atmosphere is amazing, music is spot on. I feel like I’m in Italy. We had the house special and it really amazed us. I really recommend everybody to stop by!!

Stopped in very quickly and grabbed an ice coffee, hummus & an apple turnover and had an easy going chat with the girl up front who answered every single question I had. I cannot wait to come back up with my family and try out the pizza and everything else on the menu!

I had a great sandwich and Brunswick Stew. It was amazing and had a lemon bar for dessert. Highly recommend this quant little restaurant for a pleasant dining experience.

Wonderful local bakery and cafe. The brunch menu is eclectic and the baked goods are enticing. We settled on the Monte Cristo and Shrimp and Grits. The Monte was built on Challah bread with gruyere, ham, and raspberry jam.The Shrimp and Grits were well constructed with a creamy texture and flavored to perfection. There is shrimp in every bite and the sausage helps to add that southern flare. Opt for this. Also open for dinner and happy hours.
