The nicest staff and nurses of any office we have been to. They really try to help the patients. We saw Dr Mclintock and he was also wonderful, intelligent and detail oriented. Never felt rushed and he was helpful in answering all of my questions and concerns. We were late to our appt because we went to the wrong office but they still worked with us and even offered something to drink and a lollipop to my son for patiently waiting (even though it was our fault!). Truly wonderful experience and I am beyond thankful! Highly recommend these team of experts

I looked at the reviews and expected a bad experience. I am quite picky myself and hate when service is not great. But I have nothing negative to say about the front desk staff, the PA, or the doctor. The wait time was next to none. The PA came in and saw my child and then the doctor came in. The PA was very nice and answered a long list of questions. Dr. Casella was very nice and patient when we asked all the questions. I honestly went in thinking this is going to be a bad experience but it was quick and everybody there was nice. 5/5 for me.

I had an appointment with Dr. Laura Gill-Sealy, she is absolutely an amazing physician. She is very friendly and listens/explains all the details. I wish we can have more doctors like her.

We had appointment in September 2017 at this s new location. Easy to find and not busy. Saw Dr. Hourigan, who in my opinion is the best gastro Doc ever!

I saw Dr. Fields a long time ago, but my parents and I don’t remember that. When my mom and I went back to INOVA Hospital, we were lost and it took us a while to find Children’s National Pediatrics Specialists of VA, lol. The nephrologist cares about his patients. he gave me a list of doctors, that I need to see. But my parents and I didn’t see those doctors, for some reason. I honestly did research about the doctors, that he recommended me. My mom and I were there, so I have no clue why she didn’t want me to see them. Either my mom or I recycled the information, which is the wrong thing to do. I have to see a gastroenterologist and developmental delay specialists, before transferring to a university, and before my personal problems gets worse. Children’s National Hospital and NIH means a lot to me 🥺

NIH (National Institutes of Health) referred me to a urologist at Children’s National Hospital, for my biggest personal problem, so when I went there, it reminded me of my old Orthopedic, who passed away. It reminded me of him because I got my leg surgeries at Children’s National Hospital. Dr. Hanway was a great and caring doctor, dad and son, etc.! He has a special place in my heart 🥺💛

I had a worst experience with this practice getting a timely response. Their staff does not care to check message on the phone or MyChart. I was looking to get response for a time sensitive issue to review with Dr. left a email message in mycharts for 8 days no one even looked at that. Called the nurse practitioner many time during the working hours on weekdays at their direct number that says, the messages on this number are checked daily 2-3 times. But absolutely no response. They don’t even have the decency to acknowledge, not getting a timely communication leaves a bad impression.

If you need a pediatric gastroenterologist, this practice may have the best doctors around, but you will likely never get to see one.
This is what happened to me:

1. Dr saw my daughter in ER.
2. Told us to follow up in office that week. Urgent medical situation.
3 Called first thing and left a message. And requested a call back.
4. Call back was 2 hours later.
5. Told there were no appointments. Period. End of story. Was offered a virtual appointment 34 days from now.
6. Asked to speak to a manager. Hung up on.
7. Called back. Call back requested. Never called back.
7a. Pediatrician finally got In touch with them after I begged them to help me. Got a virtual appt which is better than nothing. But not really what we need.
8. Sent email. No response.
9. Left scathing review on Facebook.
10. Office manager called and apologized and was really nice.and tried to help But this is now 6 hours later.
I found another doctor.

The doctor is great, but the nurses and receptionists here are AWFUL. They are rude, completely unhelpful, and made my daughter so upset during a procedure that was already difficult enough. I asked questions on how to do an at home sample and where to drop it off and the woman talked to me as if I was an idiot for asking questions. When my husband took our child to the next test the woman chastised my husband for not knowing information that was never provided to us. If you can, go to the Fairfax office, they are hard to get appointments at but their staff are leaps and bounds better.

We had an appointment scheduled and confirmed. Received a call saying we had missed it and asked if we wanted to reschedule. I told the caller we hadn't missed an appointment because the appointment wasn't for another week. I had scheduled it for a specific date and had already taken off work. After placing me on hold for an extended period of time, she blamed it on me calling the main number to schedule rather than their office directly and offered an appointment 3 months away...for a time sensitive health issue. I asked about our scheduled date and she insisted we had nothing on that date. I have my notes from the call, the date marked on 3 calendars, and had taken off work. We had an appointment on that date. Now, my child cannot be taken care of for 3 months. THREE MONTHS.

Waited for 1 hour 45 minutes in the room just to see the doctor for a simple fracture during the corrona virus pandemic post setting at the ER one week later. All said and done excessive amount of time was spent in a medical facility just sitting there. The support and organization as a whole is terrible. We would have walked if it was something very minor considering this was a follow up visit with scheduled appointment. When you set a appointment for a customer you adhere to industry standards, this place is worse than the DMV and you get people in and out of a medical facility during a pandemic.

If you care about your child don't bring them here. The wait to talk to someone over the phone is usually 5 hours plus just to make an appointment. My daughter has been blacking out everyday, we have been waiting for a approval from the insurance company for an MRI. Come to find out insurance approved it 4 weeks ago they just never called and told me. They said her fainting and blacking out could just be from anxiety, really anxiety??? My daughter assured them that while she is a teenager she is not anxious when these things begin to happen. Doesnt really seem to be concerning. We are having to seek care from the E.R. when she blacks out and she was hospitalized for blood pressure and low blood sugar, I tried rescheduling her appointment but again 5 hours wait and their is no telling if the person with accidentally hang up the phone and your off to square one. They assured me I would be charged even though my daughter was in the hospital and I called 5 times and was never able to speak to someone. This office really needs to get more receptionists, they come off as not caring for their patients at all....

Needed gastro doctor for my child...Called yesterday and was told that April calendar was not open for scheduling yet. Called today and was told there is nothing available, so I inquired if nothing available for the rest of the year and was told that nothing was available thru end of May. Receptionist seemed to be ticked off that I called. Was not even asked if diff. location would work, just 'nothing available'. Will seek care at a practice that cares about people and does not have an attitude.

I've spent all afternoon just trying to CALL this office, you are left on hold for most of an hour then hung up on. Unclear if there is even anyone working there given that the only appointment available was months away when we made it. Maybe a doctor works there but it is NOT worth trying to find out.
