We loved our stay at Springdale Village Inn. Upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly innkeeper, Murray, who told us to feel right at home (which we did). The property was beautiful with a garden, chickens, ducks, and cows. The house itself was like being in a museum, full of history, art, and antiques. Come morning we had a delicious breakfast prepared by Murray accompanied with great conversation. The whole experience was something to treasure and we'd love to stay again next time we're in the area. Speaking of which, the location is great! Close to restaurants and wineries while still giving you the privacy and serenity of a 5 acre farm.
Thank you for the hospitality!

I cannot begin to express how amazing our stay was at this exquisite bed and breakfast! Every room in this special Inn speaks of years gone by and we were transported to another era. Each antique piece of furniture was chosen with the utmost care to create such a beautiful space. We came for a girls getaway trip to visit wineries and do some antique shopping. Of all the fantastic things we did this weekend our B&B and its host were by far the best part of our trip. Murray is a special person. He is soft spoken and kind. He makes you feel welcome in a way that feels like you are home and not just staying at a hotel for the night. All of us girls enjoyed our talks with Murray over breakfast. The breakfast made with eggs from the chickens right there on the farm was delectable! We spotted one of the peacocks that roam the property right outside our window. As we were leaving Murray took an array of photos for us. It was a truly memorable stay and one that we cannot wait to repeat in the near future. Thank you Murray for making our stay so special!

Had a wonderful 2-night getaway at Springdale Village Inn! The Cashmere room was spacious and beautiful. The house has an amazing history, and the owners have made it very comfortable, with lots of sitting areas, lamps, artwork, homemade cookies, and complimentary wine. Murray was very responsive and took care of all my needs. And he prepared a delicious breakfast every morning! The farm is lovely, with lots of free-range birds, some cows, and two adorable calves. Highly recommend this Inn for a quiet weekend getaway.

Wonderful! Our stay at Springdale Village Inn was perfect. We came down from PA for a wedding. The owners of the Inn (David and Murray) really make you feel like friends instead of paying customers. The property is beautiful and well kept, too. Beautiful flowers, hens and roosters, a few peacocks, cows and ducks. Fresh eggs and milk everyday made breakfast delicious. Don't hesitate to make a reservation here, you won't regret it!

Gorgeous, historical home, within a beautiful, tranquil setting of a working farm. Strolling the grounds is so very peaceful, seeing the chickens, ducks, cows & peacocks. The babbling brook with walking bridges brings such a sensation of peace. ...and the plants & flowers are amazing since they also own a nursery!
Murray was such a gracious host, he served fabulous breakfasts and was a delight to be around.
Frank was in attendance during our stay, also charming & gracious.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Murray, David, & Frank for creating this wonderful get away & for being such gracious & charming hosts.

This was one of the most charming bed and breakfasts I've ever stayed at! Perfectly appointed and cozy, with beautiful grounds. The breakfast was delicious, including farm-fresh eggs from the henhouse in the backyard. If you're lucky, you might spot the peacock that hangs out in there too!

My husband and I pulled up to this property, and were struck by a peaceful feeling of being at "home"-- we were greeted by the farm's extroverted geese! :) We really felt so relaxed, seeing the beautifully maintained grounds and the lovely adorned antiques throughout this B&B. It gave us a very tranquil, calm feeling, and I knew we had chosen a great place to rest our mind and body for a night. Our room was a neat, Colonial space with hand-hewn beams that spanned a sections of the room-- with a really large, comfortable King-sized bed on the top floor, two single beds and a loveseat. We had that whole section of the top floor with a private hall bath-- the shower was great, too, with a lot of water pressure and hot water (all soaps/shampoos available w/ linens). I spoke to Silas on the phone before we came for planning purposes, and Murray met us with a hospitable welcome and an incredible continental breakfast the next morning: he made a delicious cheese & mushroom souffle', a bounty of yummy homemade baked goods, fresh milk (from their cows on the farmette), coffee, OJ, fruit, yogurt, and coffee. My husband and I enjoyed a stroll around the yard to visit the many happy birds/fowl on this working farm. We're excited to come back for another visit when we have more time to stay, and were happy to get out of our home during the pandemic! We really loved Murray and David's unique home and their explicable hospitality. They went out of their way to make guests feel at home, asked if we needed anything, and made us feel so welcomed--while taking extra precautions to ensure and prioritize our safety with physically and socially distancing (re: distanced tables, wearing masks, serving the meal to each guest, etc.). Thank you again, sirs-- we are happy to spread the word! :) ~Melani & Paul Harmon

The best stay at a B&B we've had. Murray welcomed us to the house when we arrived. The bed was super comfortable and had that old home feeling. In the morning, we were treated to an amazing breakfast by Murray! If you're in the area, this is the place to stay!

Stayed at this B&B for our 10yr wedding anniversary and it was perfect. It was our 1st time staying at a B&B so we didn't know what to expect. It's a quaint 'little' house set back from the road. There is a cow, ducks and a rooster. Loved waking up to the sound of the animals. The owner of the B&B was very nice and made an incredible breakfast for us . . . assorted bowl of fruit, cinnamon rolls, homemade quiche with eggs, ham, spinach and onion. I would definitely return to Springdale Village.

We rented the Inn for our overflow guests for a party held out house around the corner. Silas & Murray were very easy to work with and were very attentive to our guest's needs. Everyone had a great time and we will definitely be using them again soon.

This historic bed and breakfast is beautiful and well cared for! We stayed in the Cashmere Room. The staff were wonderful and breakfast was delicious. This was the first time staying at a bed and breakfast instead of a hotel, and I would not hesitate to visit again!

I honestly don't know why this place doesn't have more reviews. It is not only a gorgeous property, it is an amazing house with a ton of history. Some of the history includes the first boarding school for girls on the east coast, a hospital during the civil war, part of the Underground Railroad and presidents that played games in the den. We stayed in the upstairs room and had the whole floor to ourselves. The bathroom was in the hallway so its not actually in the room, but it was still private. It is a working farm, so one thing I will warn you about is that the animals can be noisy. If you are a light sleeper I would advise getting some ear plugs. They offer you a complimentary bottle of wine and the breakfast looked absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, we had to cut our trip short because our kids got sick. Murray was SO sweet and gave us coffee cake to go and even let us have two dozen eggs since we missed breakfast. All of the flowers were starting to come up and I'm sure it is an amazing sight in the spring. We are already planning when we can go back!
