Shogun

Loved the rolls here. Tempura was good- we got veggie, though I wish there was a bit more variety. It was still great but mostly just sweet potato. The gyoza was also amazing. Best part was that the prices were exceptional! I find it very hard in the US to find both tasty and non-expensive sushi and rolls. Shogun in the mountains of Maryland of all places did not disappoint!

Shogun is one of Frostburg's gems. I can't praise the quality of their food enough. It's on par with the best Japanese restaurants I've been to.

Food is excellent and the place itself is very nice looking! Service isn't superb, but staff are quick and respectful at the very least.

My go to Sushi place in our area. Prices are great, rolls are delicious and innovated. The presentation of their meals are on point.

The lemon flavor on the lemon drop stood out for a nice compliment to the seafood. The texture was superior, not mushy like other places.

Sushi was delicious. Snowman roll and the Golden Spiderroll. Hibachi was very good. Good service. Good times. Will go again for sure!!!

Came here with a friend and had a great meal. It's a very clean place and the food was pretty good.

Got off the train and decided to eat at this restaurant since their outdoor dining had a great view of the mountains. Awesome drinks menu and friendly staff. I ordered the Hibachi dinner and they were beautifully plated and large. My partner ordered some of their house sushi’s and they looked like art on a plate, almost like upscale dining minus the price. I am very impressed at the quality considering the area is very old town.

I was actually really suprised! It was a really good experience! The good was good, minus the hibachi having too much sauce. But that's probably just a personal preference for me, I can't hold that against them. The yum yum sauce was really good. I got a sushi roll, the rock shrimp, and the hibachi chicken and shrimp. It was my birthday, so the waitress made a wonderful dessert with candles and everything for me, and was super sweet. Didn't hover, but easy to get her attention. So make sure you tip them well! I'll definitely be going back! Hope all my experiences continue to go this smoothly. Happy dining guys! ❤

My husband and I have been to hundreds of Japanese restaurants, all over the country, and this is among the best While visiting Frostburg University, we stopped here for lunch and got Bento boxes and the shrimp tempura appetizer. Everything was delicious. The Chicken teriyaki was probably the best I've ever had, and the California rolls were generous and delicious. We never expected an outstanding restaurant in a rural area like this!

The soup, sashimi and Sushi 🍣 are great.

Everything was phenomenal! Service and food. The sushi rolls were fresh and bursting with flavorful! The Shogun soup was really good and chunked out! The Miso soup was the most flavorful I have ever had. The Pork Gyoza was so good...pan-fried dumplings! Yaki Udon noodles...oh my goodness!goodness was! It was fantastic! We were very impressed with the quality of our food. Presentation and all! Loved it and we will dine in again!

tried a variety of sushi rolls tonight and was very impressed! Everything was prepared quickly and tasted great. The staff were very friendly and took great care with communication and food prep/handling in regards to a shellfish allergy. 🍣 can't wait to try more!

One of the only places in the area you can order online. Not only that, but you receive a text message and phone call once it's ready. They take cleanliness and sanitation seriously. (As well as their COVID precautions - this place is top-notch! Guilt-free, safely executed outdoor dining and take-out)

Good customer service. Today, when I picked up my order, I was offered a fresh-made dessert for free! It was so kind, and made my day. The sushi is the best around, and coming from Solomon's Island, Maryland, I can be rather picky. Prices are also great - thank you everybody at Shogun!

Shogun is the best restaurant in Frostburg. Amazing, fresh sushi 🍣. Better than I’ve ever had in even major coastal cities. So reasonably priced with large portions and beautiful, elegant presentations. Don’t be biased by previous businesses at this location. The food and service is amazing. I’ve been so impressed every time, both eat-in and take-out. Support this new local business so we don’t lose out on inexpensive fine dining and great lunches in western Maryland.
