Sand Springs Saloon & Steakhouse

We let Google guide us to this western themed "gem" located in Frostburg MD, minutes away from our final destination of Rocky Gap Casino and resort, in nearby Frederick, MD. As first timers, we found the restaurant and "saloon" to be a very relaxing atmosphere to have an early dinner . Bri, our server, was very cheerful and pleasant, but also went the extra mile explaining the very extensive menu items. You will find something here to dine on no matter your taste! We started with the crab Dip appetizer,..excellent!!!.a must try!! Also had the Crab and lobster Bisque 🦞, another home run!!..the fish n homemade chips wrap, also great., other items the family had were, bacon cheeseburger, Mushroom burger, and Cajun chicken and shrimp..this should be on your list to stop in and try the homemade sides, bar b que and pasta (next tables near us).. we will definitely stop back to try something else, portions satisfy as well., ask for "Bri"...she'll know we sent you!.

We loved this restaurant’s. We had a party of 20 and we had excellent accommodations. A table to ourselves upstairs. Sean our server was patient and kind. From the appetizers to the meals was good. The pork chops were a hit. The crab cakes not so much. The salmon was great! The pina coladas were great too. We would definitely go again! Great family restaurant. Make sure you make a reservation because it was a 2 hour wait if you didn’t! But overall 10/10.

San Springs Saloon & Steak House is a nice dining spot that deserves five stars in my book. I recently indulged in their prime rib, and it was simply exceptional—cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The service was excellent, with attentive staff providing a delightful dining experience. While it's a bit on the pricey side, the quality of the food and service more than justifies it. The casual ambiance creates a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, making it a great spot to enjoy a delicious meal. Overall, it's a fantastic place for a special dinner or any occasion deserving of a delectable treat.

Was out traveling on our motorcycle and found this gem.
Wow. Very impressed with this place. So much to choose from on there menu. The waitress we had was very nice. Love the atmosphere. It does have a deck on the saloon side if you want to be outside. Typical prices for a steakhouse. Definitely will try to make it back.

Traveling and decided to stop because we wanted a good steak. This place was perfect. Makayla, our server, was very attentive and made great suggestions about the menu. The steaks come with 2 sides, so we were stuffed by the time we left. Steaks were cooked perfectly! We had an appetizer, 2 steaks, and 2 drinks and our check was only $70. If we’re ever in the area again we are definitely coming back!

Service was amazing, fast and great pace. The drinks were very interesting I enjoyed my redbull tea thingy! The steak was cooked to perfect and the Roast Beef was heavenly. Thank you Sarah!

Great food with reasonable prices. So many options to choose from. The decor fits the name of the place. It's nice And inviting. The service is excellent, the staff so attentive. Perfect place for a date nice or a just because you wanna eat out day.

I always try the nachos when I visit a new (to me) restaurant. You can tell a lot about a restaurant by their nachos. The pork nachos at Sand Springs areen't really nachos at all. I don't even know how to describe them. Hand cut potato chips, white cheese, pulled pork with barbecue sauce, and pineapple. Definitely not nachos. Absolutely delicious. Thank you to the bartender convincing me to not bury these in salsa when I first ordered them. A very unexpected surprise. Now I want to come back and try some other stuff on the menu.

5 star chow, service, environment, love this place. I had the cajun chicken and shrimp, and Mac and cheese. My friend had steak and onion rings. The food was very good, great waitress, seated right away. Reasonable prices. Absolutely a do-over and over, and over.

We loved this place!!! Drinks, apps, and entree’s were all delicious!! Waitress was quick, friendly, and extremely helpful as well. We will definitely be back each time we pass through. Great job!!

Based on reviews, picked this for dinner. The reviews were spot on. Terrific service and some of the best food ever experienced. Jennifer was a great server. Meal was hot and of the best quality. A must try.

The staff are fantastic and friendly and very accommodating for menu modifications. The food was so delicious and we will be returning.

Stopped here while overnighting in Frostburg. Ate at the bar. My wife enjoyed her soup and my sandwich was tasty. Both served hot and well prepared. Decent selection of wine and beer.

Charming western theme restaurant. The steak was delicious. Portions were large. The price was decent. They have a large menu. I had the filet. It was cooked perfectly. Delicious fries. The cornbread stole the show. It was wonderful. Can wait to go back

Always a great meal. At a great price. The service is good and food comes quickly no matter how busy. We eat here frequently and it's easily the best restaurant in Allegany County MD. Just be prepared they can get really busy and reservations may be needed during dinner hours, especially on weekends.

Very neat interior styling that's both unique and classy. Great food.
