It’s a bit busy but I feel right at home. I came here with my parents and their friends and ordered spinach artichoke dip and a crab cake sandwich. My food was amazing and the place. No toasted goats around, haha!

Our food was excellent. The shrimp and grits appetizer is big enough as a meal and was so delicious. The young woman working lunch hours Sat May 11 2024 did an excellent job, she seemed to be serving the entire restaurant, bussing tables too, and was still timely and accurate with our order

What a fabulous place to have a meal!!! The "Drunk Bird" sandwich was the best chicken sandwich I have ever tasted...beer-battered fried chicken breast...candied bacon...spicy honey dressing...amazing!! There was a wonderful, friendly and kind fellow who took care of us and such a cool place!!! DEFINITELY going to make it our "must stop" as we travel from Pittsburgh to Richmond,Va!!

Great from start to finish! Very cool aesthetic that features some original wood work from the original time era. The “Don’t Call Me Shirley” was a refreshing spin on a nostalgic Shirley Temple non alcoholic beverage.
The Spinach Salad was very fresh. The addition of golden delicious apples to the salad was a nice addition and surprise!
The restaurant is attached to The Hotel Gunter which dates back to the late 1800s. We hope to come back and visit both places next time we are in Frostburg MD.

Very nice place, historic and they kept that intact. Beautiful entrance with a stunning staircase. The bar/dining area will keep your attention as you look around. Beautiful pressed steel ceiling I believe to be original to the property. They use to bring prisoners to the holding area in the lower part of the building while the officers stay in the upper part which was a hotel at the time. It has since been converted into luxury apartments. The food is good, craft beer is also good. Price is good.

This is worth the stop. I will return again when in the area.

The cook and bartender know what they are doing! Wow. 3 out 4 of us ordered steak, and all were very pleased. The quality, cut, and flavor of the meat was tops. 1 of us ordered the tuna--medium, it came out a bit closer to welldone but the flavors were superb. Mashed potatoes were good. Didn't much like the elder elixir but smoothies were perfection. Happy for the recommendation to eat here from the vintage store shop. 😋 thank you.

We had a delightful experience at the Toasted Goat during our layover on the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad journey from Cumberland to Frostburg. On a bustling Saturday afternoon, with just one waitress and one bartender managing the crowd, they did their best to ensure everyone felt welcome. Although the pace was lively, and they couldn't quite get us through our meal within the layover time, their friendly demeanor made up for it.

Realizing time was ticking away, we opted to have our delicious meals boxed up. The clever move allowed us to savor the flavors on the return trip to Cumberland. Every member of our party (according to my informal survey) praised the food quality. Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. I would definitely revisit and wholeheartedly recommend the Toasted Goat for its scrumptious food, inviting atmosphere, and warm service. Just a heads up, if you plan to dine in during your railroad layover, time might be a bit tight, but it's absolutely worth the visit.

Stopped in for Sunday Brunch while riding the GAP trail. Had Crab Benedict and a Mimosa. Enjoyed both. Great dining experience.

Don't know if this would be a hidden gem or just a great place to eat but I was very happy. I had the crab cakes and they were prepared perfectly and had huge lumps of crab unlike many places. Will be back again

Great restaurant with an amazing selection of local craft beer, wine and spirits, most of which are made on site. Very nice and unique atmosphere. The food was very good and the service was prompt and friendly. Can't wait until I return again.

I am in Frostburg today for a meeting. A friend recommended this place. I read some of the reviews and decided to try it out. Parking out front was limited, but out back they have an outdoor patio seating with ample parking. From the back you enter through the hotel lower level. You have to check out the hotel "jail" (photos included). The restaurant has ample social distancing space. I ordered an iced tea and the Muffuletta with fries. Excellent sandwich, the fresh cut fries are highly recommended, and the iced tea was fresh. Five stars for the Toasted Goat. I will be back.

Great spot with good beer, crab cake sandwiches and burgers. The server was friendly and accommodating. We walked the hotel, speakeasy and jail - fun to see!

We did the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad train ride to Frostburg and then took the free shuttle to Hotel Gunther. The Toasted Goat is the hotel's resident restaurant and it was incredible. Lots of tasty lunch options and an extensive cocktail, martini and beer list, as well as soft drink options. We thoroughly enjoyed dining here with our group.

The Speakeasy in the basement was a fantastic fun Friday night! They happened to have Trivia Night starting when we wandered in to eat, and Maddie killed it as the host. Mt Rum Runnerbwas made perfectly. Annnnd finally, DAMN that Brownie Lasagna was DELICIOUS!

Was a little confusing to get in from the back entrance but was worth the effort to find the restaurant. Food was excellent, portions were plentiful in my opinion, excellent selection of wines and beers, plenty of options of soda pop as well. Loved the ambience of the interior including the planter that had geraniums planted in it, will make it a regular stop in the future when we are visiting.

The owners have done a fantastic job with this property. The toasted goat is amazing as is the speakeasy. The cowboy pork chop is addictive!! The cocktails are all very well done. They make their own line of spirits and wine.. and all of it is wonderful!!

This is by far the place to go to in town for the best lunch, dinner and nightlife!!

Over all great experience. However the NY Strip steaks were a little fatty. The appetizers were totally amazing.
