Really like working with Jay. Laid back, easy going guy, and doesn’t use high pressure tactics! He made everything really easy for me and the truck buying process. I would recommend him and Mattern automotive to my friends and family.

Great car lot unlike the others. This is a smaller lot with a few guys and it was probably the best buying experience I've had through dealer/lot or private party. They were upfront about the car and what it was about. I spoke to Mike on a Saturday night when I caught him moving some cars before heading home. Was just driving by and saw the car outside. He was extremely nice and told me to come back on Tuesday to speak about the car as it was Memorial Day weekend. I came back Tuesday morning and spoke with a salesman and put an application in for the vehicle. Their finance guy called me back around 3PM and said come on in. Got there by 5:15PM and we were finished up before 6 and I drove it home. Very fast, friendly, and detail attentive. Mike personally gave me two receipts from Dobbs showing $1000 in preventative maintenance work and two new tires to show that it was ready to sell and drive. I'm taking this on a trip to Chicago tonight and will update this review on Monday night to see how it goes. I've been driving it for a few days now and it drives great with 72,000 miles. Thank you, Mike and the team at Mattern I'll be sure to keep you in mind when we get ready to look for a vehicle for my better half.

EDIT: Just wanted to chime back in and say that I still own this vehicle and it's running as great as ever. Has about 96,000 miles on it now and it is just as reliable as the day I bought it. It made its Chicago trip fine as well as multiple trips to Quincy, IL, Jeff City, and Farmington.

I had the best experience when purchasing my car here. Everyone there is super nice and friendly, really professional and willing to answer any questions I had. The inside is really clean and has a nice home feel, the one sales man Jay is also super handsome and funny so that is a plus! I love my car, and it runs great!

Great experience! I will be back the next time I'm in the market for a vehicle. They were great people that sold me a nice used car and worked within my budget. Jay stayed late to help us out after my wife and I had a bad experience at 5 other lots in the area.

Could not say enough good things about this dealership! They offered me a fair trade in value and got me in my first mom car, not to mention they helped me out by meeting in Kingdom City to trade vehicles since I like 2 and a half hours away! Best experience ever buying a car. Salesperson Jay was genuinely friendly and did not pressure me in anyway. I noticed a small problem when I got home and he immediately contacted the owner to rectify. I will definitely return when I am in the market for another used car.

Jay was a wonderful salesman, not pushy and very straight forward. I have yet to purchase a new vehicle but would consider them in the future when looking again. It was a real pleasure of an experience compared to other small car lots with a shady sales man or couple of shady salesmen lurking around waiting to pounce on a sale.

I want to say my experience with mattern automotive was awesome. I purchased a 2015 Jeep renegade from them and my wife and I love it. Tony was a great salesman to work with and their lenders are great. They got me a WAY better %rate than my credit union who I’ve done business with for years and I have good credit. Mike mattern is one of the nicest owners of a dealership that I have ever met, willing to go out of his way to make sure you are taken care of and happy. Jacob the finance guy will do whatever he can to get you taken care of, he keeps his word and doesn't forget it. Best truck buying experience I have ever had. Thanks guys you are awsome.
