Brass Hat

We had a fun evening here. After a long day on the road it was so nice to stop in here for a few drinks. Nikki behind the bar was super attentive and knowledgeable of a the art of making drinks. We also had the crab cakes and salad. Both delicious. Definitely worth stopping by and having a few drinks.

I stayed at the Hotel Indigo and it was easy to eat at the attached restaurant but I was worried about the negative reviews. The meal and service were both amazing! I got the Pimento Cheese BLT and added the truffle sauce to the curly fries. Excellent ambiance and the food was delicious! Don’t let old reviews scare you off, this place is so good!

Service (bar keep) was awesome. Drank their suggested stout, ate their suggested appetizer (smoked catfish is a 9 out of 5) and their suggested meal (crab cake BLT). 3 for 3.. Home run! Will now be my place to eat even just passing near Hattiesburg.

I rarely write reviews but I felt compelled to defend this place based on my experience after reading the negative reviews. I almost declined to eat here after reading them! My first experience was at check in. I wasn't feeling well so I went to the bar and ordered hot tea. It came out at a perfect temperature with a little setup of honey, lemon and sweeteners on the side. I decided to chance it and have dinner later. I was very pleasantly greeted. I ordered a glass of wine and a burger. Both came out in a very timely manner and the burger was good and was cooked exactly how I requested. The fries were excellent as well. The ambiance of the restaurant is great with outside seating available if preferred. Thoroughly enjoyed!!

Happiness in Hattiesburg!!! Called and spoke to D-Love, Bartender Extraordinaire !! His personality made me want to go there, especially with all the reviews!! EXCELLENT Old Fashion “with a Spark” and the Peach Glazed Pork Chop and Spinach was sooooo good!! Service was excellent!! D-Love was busting a bar-tendering move!!! The atmosphere was so very nice and comfortable😊

Overnighted at the hotel and made it for a late(ish) dinner. "A proper burger" was enjoyed by both me and my traveling companion! With really good curly fries!

Nice decor. Friendly staff. They have a fun local beer list. We ordered the shrimp flatbread and vegetable sides. Live singer also. I would order some umbrellas for the patio.

Great atmosphere, went out for drinks this past weekend and the bartenders were both fantastic. The interior and patio were beautiful. The drinks were delicious and I didn't get to try the food but will definitely be back soon! Hattiesburg definitely needed this spot.

Ate at Brasshat this morning for breakfast with husband. Chelsey/Chelsea was our server and she was amazing! I had the potato scramble and cappucino which were also very good. My husband enjoyed his breakfast as well. I don't remember the name but consisted of eggs, sausage, grits, and toast. Overall, very impressed with food and service. Will be going back for dinner soon.

I’ve pulled my recent review, and have to say Jordan is a class act for reaching out and being a problem solver, delivering facts about the experience, and offering help in the future. Like I’ve said before, the food and drinks are phenomenal and just that act of kindness will bring us back. Thanks guys.

As I travel throughout the southeast, and am an IHG member, I frequent a lot of similar locations .This has been the best so far. Nicci was a top notch bartender who was full of fresh ideas I don't often see outside large cities. The food was so good, I got the same thing twice. Amazing job so crafty and creative with the cocktails. Shes definitely an asset that should be recognized. Nicci, thank you for taking care of me.

Stopped for the night heading to gulf shores s from Rockwall Tx. This bistro is attached to the Hotel Indigo. Amazing restaurant .... all themed to go along with the locomotive industry in the fine state Top of the line service with smiles & food is unbelievable. Dinner was truffle fries, ceasar salad with crab BLT , & double walnut brownie ala mode. Next day ..... bfst of country gravy & homemade biscuits as well as country potatoes. Definitely a win win for this area

Great food great place but.......not if you want cheap. It is high-end I warn you. But they have lowered their prices quite a bit from what they were originally. They used to be almost double for some items. I personally love almost everything I have tried there and would definitely go back.

This is such an awesome place to just sit and relax. The service is impeccable. The drinks are fresh and original. I will definitely be coming back and telling others about this gem.

This place is way out of my league. They had fancy waffles and gourmet pickles. Staff was also delightful.
