We walked from our hotel and had a nice dinner. The chicken cury was a delight, and the Gaelic Burger was outstanding. The muscles and fries were cooked to perfection. We sat outside, it was a nice day and all around a great experience. I would recommend this to anyone in the area, and the service was top notch. If you found this review helpful, please drop a 👍

My first visit will not be my last! Had the Sea Dog sandwich , shared delicious fries with family, had a great highball. Our waitress was equipped with character, beauty and friendly efficiency. Look forward to going back. Visited on 3/30 in the afternoon. Nice mix of music too.

Best Irish Pub in town. Food is always excellent, as is the service. Very cozy spot for an extended hang with friends or to warm yourself on a cold night with a whiskey. Reasonable prices as well! Protip: the curry makes for a wonderful dip/smother for the fries!

Enjoyed the best ever Irish food and drinks tonight. The 2 of us ordered Bangers and Mash with Guinness Gravy and the Sea Dog. The Sea Dog is a hot dog size fish sandwich with homemade tartar sauce and cole slaw. The fries were fresh and crunchy - (not at all soggy as another reviewer had falsely claimed) which came with the Sea Dog were drizzled with fresh garlic and parsley. Yummy!
The Bangers and Mash were also delicious! For dessert we shared their Rasberry Donut Crumbles cheesecake! Service was fast too.. Definitely will be back!

This Irish dive bar is so fun and cute. Meg was serving us and had amazing energy and was very attentive. Food was great as well. I got the avocado BLT and was impressed. They have vegan sweet potato burger too which is nice since my husband is vegan. I look forward to returning!

Well, I don't know. Sometimes it would stop raining long enough for the stars to come out, and then it was nice. It was like just before the sun goes to bed down on the bayou. There was always a million sparkles on the water... like that mountain lake. It was so clear, it looked like there were two skies one on top of the other. And then in the desert, when the sun comes up, I couldn't tell where heaven stopped and the earth began. It's so beautiful.

It was really a great experience for our entire family for my hubby's birthday. The bangers and mash were on point and my mil enjoyed her fish n chips. The Irish coffee was very pretty. Would definitely return!

Bartender was phenomenal, great conversation, and attentive service. Menu is well rounded. Atmosphere is warm and reminds me of pubs in Ireland. Back patio area is also an awesome addition.

Came for the Bangers and Mash. Excellent! I tried my ladies steak and cheese sandwich. It was perfectly cooked and the bread was excellent. A true Irish pub, food furnishings. Just wish there was Irish music playing. The server was very friendly and accommodating. Will be back, coming to try the Irish Breakfast.

Good service and I like the Decor. It’s nice to sit and chat in a booth and not be disturbed.

We celebrated my dad's life after his wake at James Joyce. It was one of his favorite bars. The food, service, and beer were great. But the best part was how willing the staff was to take on all 20+ of us and how they truly wanted to honor my dad.

We have been coming here for years. The fish n chips, Gaelic burger and cheese curds are family favorites, but good food all around...great outdoor seating too!

The food here is really good! We weren't expecting much from a bar, but it was great. The best fish and chips we've had in awhile. The curry was also great, next time I'll try the curry on fries instead of mashed potatoes.
The bartender was working real hard as there was no one else to take orders or make drinks.

One of the best bars in Durham, and the food is "sneaky good." Surefire on burger temperatures, garlic fries that little-sibling what you get at the SF Giants stadium, house-made corned beef for mains and sandwiches. Always a good mix of people to keep one entertained. Rock n' roll, babes.

Very friendly, but no live Irish music.

I placed an online order through the embedded Google maps ordering tool called ChowNow, which I've now been told by staff that is not actually connected to their restaurant. All that being said they took care of the food order last minute and we're very understanding.

(DONT USE CHOWNOW)

This has such a local bar feel to it -- people just hanging out together relaxing. Trivia night was awesome too. We sat at the bar beside the clue giver and he was fantastically friendly even though the trivia was insanely difficult! The burger was perfect too.
