New BBQ restaurant in Duluth with a focus on eel!
Definitely worth checking out. Lots of variety. This is not your typical KBBQ joint!

This opened in the location where Oh My! Kbbq used to be.

Interior wise, its your typical KBBQ deco style color scheme. Each table has it own air vent and gas grill built in. Lots of tables most appear to sit at least 4 guest each.

The menu is broken down into side dishes and combos. The combos have about 3 different levels as you can see in the pictures each of which is designed to serve certain party sizes. Each has the main focus which is eel of course. I didn't see that many options for beef. Seems to be more of a focus on eel and pork mainly.

The side dishes are your typical kimchi as well as some other snack dishes like tempura and fish cake soup to name a few. You can enjoy all these with a drink and that's your typical Korean beers and solju.

Overall, not bad for a first time visit. The food tasted great if you like eel of course. The service was really good. Not much to complain about. It's not your typical KBBQ so try not to expect some all you can eat special or something like that.

My wife and I have been looking for a good Korean BBQ place since our local favorite changed management and closed down. We've found some pretty good ones, but they never hit that sweet spot of price and quality. Jang Ga hits both of those points perfectly, with a great selection of side dishes and honestly fantastic meat. Service was great and our waiter was attentive to getting us more sides and meat.

We will definitely be back!

Jang Ga’s specialty in eel sets it apart from other kbbq establishments. The eel is fresh and is complimented by an abundant assortment of side dishes and soups. The service is exceptional. We never had a burnt or undercooked piece of eel. They clean the grill after each eel grill. Small details like that help make the experience great. I highly recommend Jang Ga so take some friends and come here, it is best with a group.

Nice & clean restaurant, and staff is very nice. I think this is the first Korean Eel restaurant in Atlanta and taste is even better than what I had in Korea. I ordered a combo menu, and it comes with many side dishes.
100% recommended!! 😀😀

Jang Ga is a new Korean eel BBQ restaurant that just opened this week & I only have good things to say about it. The eel is fresh with no fishy smell and is marinated and grilled in front of you with either a spicy chili sauce, teriyaki sauce, or just grilled with salt sprinkled over. It’s incredibly soft & delicate! The side dishes are equally good - the shrimp tempura in particular is light and crispy, freshly made. Even my mother, who is very particular about kimchi in restaurants, said the one here was delicious. Jang Ga also has other very interesting side dishes including takoyaki and even grilled clementines! (Don’t knock it till you try it! It intensifies the sweetness) The staff is attentive and respond quickly and are incredibly helpful. As good as the eel BBQ was in my opinion, if eel BBQ seems a little intense for you, this restaurant serves many other entrees besides the BBQ so check out the menu! I will definitely be returning for special occasions.

This place is much more than you think it is on the menu. All side dishes come in perfect combination with eel and grill meat, seafood. Their side dishes on the set menu are usually served with a mixture of Japanese style and Korean cuisine, you can meet all of which are usually served various restaurants in the Atlanta Korean town. In terms of the amount of grilled eel, it boasts an overwhelming caustic ratio and quality in price. Hot grill food and cool foods are served along, and you can see the harmony of cold and warm foods, savory and spicy, and flavorful foods all at one table. As a bonus, the owner's kind hospitality and choice of special alcoholic beverages will satisfy all tastes of those looking for a healthy foods.

In addition, when we left the door of the Janga after eating, there was a huge rainbow outside the door, How impressive!

Ok first, gotta say this restaurant radiates in awesomeness. So when you go for Korean bbq in Atlanta GA, you get to a point where you can pretty much guess the rest of the menu and side dishes. We ordered a combo that comes with an eel and a variety of meat. The eel was a lot bigger/longer than we expected and the quality of eel/meat was very good. The sides dishes were very well thought out, and they balance well with the meat/eel. I was defintely caught off guard with some side dishes that certainly made this restaurant stand out from the other korean bbq places that I've been. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice, and the staff is very friendly and speedy.

Very nice place, and very nice and attentative waitresses. The food was amazing. Everything tasted homemade like I had in Korea at my aunties. This is real Korean food. You can taste it in their side dishes. Anyone can grill meats for you but this place has such good tasting kimchi, green onion kimchi, soy pickles, and mook acorn jelly. They also give you pickled radish kimchi goomul. Ive been to many Korean bbq's and they really have the best tasting food. I will be back and will continue to come back as long as this quality stays. Best meal I've had in a while.

Staff: Responsive, friendly, and knowledgable. Staff made appropriate recommendations and were bilingual. They did not rush the customers and responded to requests quickly.

Store Cleanliness: kind of stuffy (it's a BBQ place, so it is kind of inevitable), but the tables were wiped clean (not sticky). Silverware and plates were clean. They had an issue with their AC vent, and a bit of water/condensation was dripping. The staff constantly wiped and cleaned the area. I wasn't too bothered, because the staff acknowledged and did what they can to mitigate the issue. They should fix it soon though!

Food: Prepared within a reasonable timeframe. Quantity and quality were good. I ordered combo A, spicy pork abomasum with cheese, and a side of eel rice bowl. I personally like my pork almost crispy, so I grilled it more myself. I have my preference :D Oh, this place is not stingy with the amount they serve! Be mindful of how much you order. Quality of the food was good, and the side dishes weren't too salty. Their veggies were clean and fresh.

Overall: I personally had a positive experience. I will come back.

Wife and I split the combo for 2 with eel, shrimp, pork belly, and a bunch of sides and it was all great. The service was also well above average. We will certainly be going back.
