The Parlour

Visited The Parlour ice cream shop on a Saturday night in February and was impressed! Despite the line extending outside, the friendly staff efficiently managed it, and we got our ice creams within 15 minutes. I tried the Girl Scout mint flavor, and it was excellent! They also offer complimentary water and cups to cleanse your palate after indulging in their sweet ice creams. Great service and delicious treats – definitely worth the wait!

The Parlour serves up really good ice cream. It's creamy and the flavors can be unique. I had the Salted Butter Caramel (tastes like toffee) and the Moroccan Rose.

The Moroccan Rose was the standout for me - blend of rosewater, cardamom, cinnamon, and pomegranate, with pieces of figs, apricots, and pistachios - delicious, cardamom is such an underrated and versatile spice.

The Parlour’s icecream was a 10/10. It’s located in Durham, and is worth the drive from Raleigh.

We got the Salted Butter Caramel, Almond Stracciatella in a Hot Fudge Sundae, and the Honey Lavender in a cup. The Salted Butter Caramel was quite indulgent with the different ingredients coming together just right. The icecream overall was quite rich and perfectly done. They’ve seating inside, and you can also sit in the public area right outside the restaurant. They also serve milkshakes and have an array of options to choose from(cups, cones, waffle cones etc.).

Street parking is available outside. I highly recommend The Parlour to anyone looking for a sweet treat indulgence. We will be back here on our next visit to Durham.

The brownie sundae is worth getting! They give you plenty of ice cream, brownies, hot fudge, and whipped cream. The ice cream is better than Jeni's (competitor). Next time I'm in Durham this will be on my list of places to visit.

The name & location give this place such a fun vibe! It absolutely feels like Durham: cool, laid back, and unexpected. Their ice cream flavors are off the beaten path but not totally out there- like Vietnamese coffee and cherry sorbet (both excellent btw). We visited later in the evening on a Saturday and there was a bit of a line but it moved quickly.

🍨 Our Lyft driver said this was one of the attractions in downtown Durham and he was right, including the salted butter caramel flavor of ice cream. Be warned: if you ask for brownie topping, you don’t get the minimal crumbs you get elsewhere. They basically chop up half a brownie and throw it into your cup. It’s delicious overkill.
We loved the visit and will be back.

During our visit to the Durham, NC area, we made a delightful stop at The Parlour for ice cream. The Pumpkin Pecan Sundae served there is nothing short of autumn's essence in a bowl.

We were needing a milkshake post procedure for my wife. Found this place and saw the rating and knew we were going to stop there. Cute inside and decent milkshake. Will return when we are back in Durham again.

The Parlour is my all-time favorite ice cream shop. They create their own flavors (both dairy and vegan) and change them out very often, possibly each week. They also bake delicious vegan desserts. I would recommend Parlour as a must-go for any trip to Durham or for any difficult week that a Duke student is having.

This ice cream place is not your typical ice cream parlor. They serve artisan flavors which I love. I tried their Vietnamese coffee, Sweet Corn with Blueberry, Honey Ricotta, and root beer. I’d suggest to skip the root beer as there’s really nothing special about it. My favorite out of all three is the Sweet Corn with Blueberry, very distinct flavor, the blueberries are not overpowering. Vietnamese coffee is a little strong for me, caffeine and sugar wise. Honey ricotta is like your typical vanilla with rich cream and honey. Love it, too, actually. The store inside is cozy. Definitely must try when in Durham!

Every time I had passed by the street where this ice cream parlor is, it caught my attention that there was always a very long line, regardless of the weather. Today when I went around I saw that there was no line and I was encouraged to investigate why this ice cream shop always has so many people. The menu is not that extensive, but the ice cream flavors they have are delicious. I tried the one with honey / lavender, Vietnamese coffee, lychee, salted caramel, chocolate and they are all DELICIOUS! the place is small, but very clean and friendly. All the guys that work at the place are very fast and helpful. Overall, it was a very good experience.

Wow. This ice cream was memorable. We were told it was very good, but it really was above my expectations. I had cherry chip in a waffle cone. Just great! Service was fast and extremely friendly. Go here!

Stopped in while walking in downtown Durham to get a little cup of ice cream. Outstanding choice of flavors and oh my delicious! Definitely will stop again!

Quite the selection of ice cream with creative flavors. The single scoop was a perfect size for an adult as a dessert following dinner. All four of us bought different flavors and we all enjoyed them!

I had the strawberry shortcake vegan ice cream - one scoop, though. It was good - I wasn’t sure what to expect. It certainly wasn’t “heavy” like regular ice cream. It was refreshing. My friend had the mango passion fruit (also vegan) and he enjoyed it. I notice a vanilla-lavender flavor. I’d try that next.

Went there for the first time for The Parlour Ice Cream. The place was packed, the quality of the ice cream was great at reasonable prices. We tried the soft serve chocolate and butter scotch flavor which I think were too sweet for us, will go back and try other flavors as well. Customer service was good wish I should have asked them for the recommendations with low sugar flavors.

Great flavors and premium ice cream! What's not to like?

Update: The more I go to this ice cream shop, the more I love it! Great flavors like Ginger ginger that is ginger ice cream with crystallized ginger, root beer float, black forest cake, white chocolate raspberry, etc. Great for dessert if there is nothing that captures your fancy at the surrounding restaurants.

Delicious ice cream! Creamy, flavorful, and wonderfully crafted.

Accommodating to picky kids like my son who had to try 3/4 of the flavors before choosing.

Have to agree with other posts. Best vegan ice cream I've found in the triangle. My husband said the regular ice was amazing and best he's had too. Had the vegan mango chilli and chocolate together. YUMMY!!

Fresh-made ice creams in a hip but friendly setting. Plenty of seating both inside and across in CCB Plaza.
