Rose's Noodles, Dumplings and Sweets

Very popular spot not only do they have delicious japanese dishes (disclaimer definitely not traditional but still yummy) but has a whole window case of sweets so it can get crowded with people sitting down on the high top chairs and people looking into the display case. Good place to share dishes and a good quality for the 10 minute wait. Not a lot of seats so call ahead or come early.

We had the hand made belt noodles with meat and they were sooo good. The portion size is pretty filling but not super big which was good. All the pastries looked to die for but we got some macarons, a cream puff pastry & the mochi roll. They all tasted great, and not sickly sweet either. I would definitely recommend Rose's for a casual treat or a lunch date!

We went for lunch and it was decently full but with a little space inside & outside. By the time we left the lunch rush had died down a little bit so it was pretty empty.

Small local restaurant that fits in well with the local community. The handmade belt noodles with the spicy pork belly sauce is perfect for my taste.. Some may find it a bit too spicy but for me just right! Lots of deserts to choose from, all were excellent. The service was quick and friendly, they let us move two tables together when another of our friends dropped in half way through our lunch. Can’t wait to go back!

For the longest time I’ve been trying to understand restaurant ramen lovers, and I’ve been to more than a couple of places (in VA and NC), and always leave thinking “that was okay”, but I was still on the search for a really good ramen spot. I can’t remember the name of the ramen I had here, but I know it had pork belly, mushrooms, an egg and some nori on top. Whatever it was called it was INCREDIBLE; it was very tasty, is the best way I could describe it. I was telling my husband how this is the new place I would take my out of state friends and family to in the future so they can try all of the yummy food. I also had the pork bun and a spicy smashed tofu and rice plate as an appetizer and also very tasty. You’ve just got to try this place, I highly recommend!

Rose's is a short walk from the Durham Amtrak Station. I went there after a train ride to get lunch. Service was great. I arrived after 1. The staff did not rush me thru my meal, and I was able to take my time. Most of the indoor seating is high top tables or bar seating for those that may have mobility concerns. The lunch special of half katsu sandwich with a choice of salad was perfect. I got the crispy broccoli salad. The special also comes with a glass of iced jasmine tea. The sandwich was fried perfectly. The salad had great flavor and the little crunchy seasme pieces was pops of sweetness. I decided to end the meal with a burnt honeycomb ice cream sandwich on homemade gingersnap cookies. Fabulous end to a lunch.

This place is awesome. The parking lot is a little goofy but everything we had was great. The ramen and pork katsu sandwhich were a stand out.

If you like Asian and Asian-inspired high quality meals with seasonal and elevated ingredients, you got to try Rose’s. Their ramen and belt noodles are the best I have had in NC! The only downside is that the space is small and the seating is tight, which means if you are waiting for your turn at lunch time it may get tightly packed. Their desserts are mostly great but I prefer to fill myself with all the savory goods and take my dessert to go 😬 oh if you are into it, their Apple mochi cake is one of the best GF desserts I ever had. The photos are randomly chosen between 2018 and now and their menu changes regularly (accommodating seasonal ingredients) so don’t expect the same food when you get there! Oh they have fantastic drip coffee, too; if you want to have a sip while you wait. I should warn you, if a dish is titled as “spicy” that means it is very spicy - not your average American spicy.

WOW. This place blew me away! The noodles are 100% fresh and you can tell they’re made in-house. It’s small so if you’re with a group make sure you call ahead. And the macarons were incredible as well.

I got the spicy miso ramen and one of each macaron to go. The ramen had an intense flavor but it was not overwhelming - it was salivating. You know when your jaw starts getting that weird sensation? The smell alone was super satisfying.

One of my favorite places in Durham! The service is always warm and the ice cream sandwiches are divine. I tried the shrimp and mama noodle sandwich, which had great flavors but was one of the spiciest dishes I’ve had. I was warned by the waitress and thought I could handle it. Thankfully the ice cream helped me cool down. ☺

This place is a little gem! Walking distance from me and bummed it took me so long to get over there. Dumplings and noodle dish did have a kick so beware. Ice cream sandwiches are to die for!!!

Some of the best noodles I have ever had! So flavorful and delicious! A little small/crowded inside.

My first time coming here and it was great. The steamed bun was delicious. Belt noodles were spicier than expected but still good, and the ramen was delicious. The restaurant is small so a reservation is a must. Try to baked goods as well, they’re all delicious!!

Such good food and service! Come for the special menu at weekend brunch. I loved my porridge 😊😊

Everything was super fresh and made to order. Very unique flavors and everything tasted great!
The Macaroons WAY better than I anticipated. I thought they would be good.. but they blue my mind! Creme brûlée and coconut/strawberry were my faves!

Food was great- phat se ew sandwich tasted amazing and was a super unique flip on the dish. Very fresh and delicious although the prices are a bit high. Pastries are amazing, the lemon pistachio cheesecake is one of the top 10 treats I’ve ever had. Would love to come again and absolutely recommend

I'm so glad my boyfriend and I stopped by here. They have a rotating menu based on seasonal availability and I had the ramen and creme brulee cake and they were both fantastic! The staff were very friendly and helpful and the baked goods case was mouth-watering. We'll definitely be back!

Roses is one of the loveliest restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. The food is delicious and high quality ingredients with creative flavors. I can’t recommend it enough.

Went for dessert & got the Creme Brulee Cake, burnt honeycomb ice cream sandwich & praline shortcake ice cream sandwich. WOW! The nailed the Creme brulee. It's soft, moist, has the burnt Caramel flavor & is a delight to eat. I can't decide which ice cream is the best but I can say I can't wait to try more & the actual food! The staff seemed friendly too.

The food was pretty good especially their handmade noodles. But the real kicker are their desserts. The ice cream sandwiches rock and the crème brûlée macaron is big booty business if you catch my drift. Anyways gamers, I’ll see you all next time. Peace

Overall, the experience was great. The Ramen was fantastic, more than you can imagine for the Japanese Style Soy Ramen.

They also seem to make the inside stuff for the dumpling instead of using the already made ones(which I saw a lot of other restaurants doing). The sauce was unique.

The serving was a little bit late, but I can understand because it was popar during.the weekend.

Overall, definitely a place I wanna go for other food as well.
