Ninth Street Bakery

This bakery is truly a Durham delight. I had my first date with my partner here two years ago and we’ve been coming regularly with an amazing experience every time since. Their service is so good, the people are fun, talented bakers with warm and friendly vibes, and the atmosphere is so cozy. The food and pastries are always delicious and feel like a home cooked meal. Great for lunch or a small breakfast for sitting in or to go. Lovely bakery!

Fantastic counter service and a damn good, and generously sized, potion for $12. The double chocolate chip cookie was as big as my sandwich and quite possibly my favorite part of the meal. The cheese and veggie sandwich was great, I'll try the hummus and veggie next!

Thank you for making Carrot Cake + Chocolate Blackout Cake for my mom’s birthday! These cakes were stunning + delicious. We LOVE all of your baked goods, but this takes the cake (pun intended). Definitely recommend!

Cute restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Had lunch here with my daughter and grandkids, we got soups and sandwiches and had to take rest of our sandwiches home as the soups are nice large bowls and served with bread on the side. Everything tasted fresh and had nice flavor to the soups. Would definitely eat here again when passing through Durham.

This is the place in town for the best ham and cheese croissants, butter croissants and asiago scones - my faves. Also, dont get me started with the soups and sandwiches - thai curry is the bomb, simply add some rice for a hearty and healthy lunch. Get a 1-day old country loaf bread for some amazing french toast at home!!! And, their reward system is a great perk… i have lived in Durham for over 2 years, checked most places around - hand down the best bakery; it is also conveniently located. My gf agrees on that. Marcus (not sure how to spell the name, the one with fantastic hair) took care of a minor problem with professionalism and wonderful hospitality! My friends and I drop by every Sunday for a cinnamon bun and coffee. It’s been our tradition for the past year and it’s been a JOY to be greeted by Marcus every Sunday. Thank you for always making our Sundays extra sweet with your delicious baked goods and great customer service :)

Since my husband and I moved to Chapel Hill about seven years ago and tried our first Ninth Street Bakery pastries at Caffe Driade, we've been big fans. Their croissants remain my favorites in the Triangle and we've now started to buy their sliced bread at the grocery store.

This has quickly become my favorite spot to do work in Durham, due to the unlimited coffee refills, relaxed atmosphere, and reliable WiFi. The pastries are incredible, my favorite being the tartine, and I also deeply love the chili. They have three different vegan soups! Parking and finding a table are both very reliable and low-stress. They also send me frequent rewards and special offers.

I love their emphasis on collaboration with other local vendors. I often enjoy a vegan oat ball or other baked good at Cocoa Cinnamon. I am so glad for the existence of this bakery.

I got the Indian lentil soup and bread.huge portions,and delicious.

Best place in Durham for a cinnamon bun!!! We love this place and have been a patron for years!! They also make beautiful breads, and have a great little deli to grab a treat, local coffee, and chill:) Check them out at the Durham Farmer's Market !!!!

Big shout out to Ninth Street Bakery for hanging in there during the epidemic and still supplying the team with box lunches. I lived the roast turkey sandwich and WOW was that a BIG cookie 😁👌. I'm still partial to the pumpkin muffin though and the almond cake I had once

First time visiting and immediately impressed by their carrot mega muffin! Crazy texture and rich flavor! Looking forward to visit again!

Excellent and reliable. When you enter, the smell of fresh baked goods is overwhelming and bringing great memories. They have a pretty sitting area with view on a parking lot and downtown Durham (it would be great if the lot would be replaced with a park l). Wonderful scones, oatmeal raisin cookies, croissants and breads.

Great bread! Fresh baked goods, soups, and sandwiches. Lots of vegan options. Employees are always kind and helpful 🤗

As a lifetime cookie monster, I must declare their peanut butter chocolate chip cookies among the best I've had anywhere! I've loved the sunflower bread for years, but try their special breads - every week a different take on true artisanal baking. The focaccia shown was amazing. All this and sandwiches too!

Delicious food and very kind staff. I love that they had some vegan/ lacto-vegetarian options!

9th Street Bakery is phenomenal. This qas my first time visiting their location after having their baked goods at other coffee shops. I was not disappointed. Their offering is vast and delicious. I highly recommend their banana bread (no tree nuts — I'm allergic), ginger snaps and ham and cheese croissants! Plus, there's onsite parking as well as street parking easily available.

Great place for escaping from hotel breakfasts. Also simply outstanding baked goods

My boyfriend and I try to make it to the Durham farmers market every Saturday, largely because of how sweet Corin has always been to us. The first time we came to the market, Corin welcomed us so kindly and walked us through all of the stands bakery selections with such excitement it was contagious! Every recommendation he has ever made has been absolutely fantastic and it’s such a treat to come back and try new things every week! I never would’ve become so obsessed with the Ninth Street Bakery stand if it wasn’t for Corin and his enthusiasm! If you want friendly faces and delicious baked goods - look no further!

Ordered the assorted cookies for my on Valentine's Day. They arrived on time with Postmates and were delicious. The Everything cookie is the best.
