The Birdie Boutique

We were referred here by our regular Avian vet for an immediate need surgical procedure. Drove from Fayetteville to them and it was completely worth the drive! They were ready and waiting for us and had us in and out in maybe 30 minutes. Highly recommend for service, price and friendly atmosphere.

I will say 3hr drive is long, but probably the best place I will ever go to especially for this little guy. Couldn’t be more happy with the service, compassion, and knowledge they had for my little boy Toby. I highly recommend.

Thank you Birdie Boutique for helping me get last minute Christmas presents for my Ringneck! There was a great selection of shredding and foraging toys and she likes them! Well worth the visit and thank you for being open Christmas Eve!

My Louie was in birdie ICU and subsequent observation for days; I was able to sit with her daily undisturbed with the ever pleasant staff. The Boutique is operated by a top Avian Doc who updated me at the end of every day. She's been home and happy for some time and I wouldn't entrust her care to anyone else.

Dr. Burkett has saved the life of my companion bird, an 18 year old Blue and Gold. Beaufort devolved a localized but nasty infection that did not respond well to topical antibiotics. Surgery was necessary to remove the abcess. Dr. Burkett provided compassionate and professional care that led to complete recovery and good health. I was welcomed in to observe the surgery and all my questions were answered during the proceedure. We have had to deal with a squamous cell carcinoma since then. Dr. Burkett again took care of my bird in an exceptional manner. It is well worth the over two hour drive to get this kind of care.

Best Avian vet in the Triangle! We drive 40 mins one way for the best. Get your birds supplies as well. Annual exams for your birds are a must.

I love this place! Everyone is so polite. They are very knowledgeable. They don't oversell. They have very reasonable prices on toys. They have premium brands of foods I switched my bird to. They have everything you need for all size birds. On top of that I love their store birds who will sometimes greet you with a "Hello" when you walk in!

If you are looking for boarding this is the place! I boarded my Elon for a week here. When I got back he didn't seem like he wanted to leave. I will definitely be recommending this place to all my friends.

Dr. Burkett has and obvious affinity for birds. There's a reason why he is deemed as one of the best avian veterinarians in the country. His knowledge and passion for all avian kind are presented within a patient, gracious and kind demeanor. I highly recommend bringing your bird(s) to him, even if it's a bit of a drive. You won't be sorry.

I buy my parakeet's food here. The price is very reasonable, and the staff is super nice. My only complaint is that sometimes they are closed when I go there, so check the hours before you go. I plan to take Skye here when she needs vet care. I live in the neighborhood, and I appreciate how they took a historic house on the corner and restored it. Good parking. Great selection of parakeets in the big, open-air area in the back of the house. My kids really love to watch them.

Love coming here, even under worst circumstances (very sick bird). Dr. Burkett is absolutely marvelous with birds. He and his staff are very caring and highly skilled, putting both bird and human at ease in short order. Also a marvelous assortment of bird toys, food and supplies. I love the Birdie Boutique and so does my bird!

Had been thinking about switching due to the very long drive and my proximity to other exotic vets but the service Dr. Burkett provides is simply unmatched. The cost of the yearly exams is fully worth the thoroughness and expertise he provides and dr burketts willingness to discuss any concerns you have over the phone before even scheduling an appointment is a life saver when you have multiple birds.

Dr Burkett has been treating my birds and chickens for over 25years! I complete trust his judgment and advice. He knows birds.
They have all the toys, treats and diet food your bird could need. They can make recommendations as you put your bird cage together...take advantage of their years of experence!

Dr. Burkett saved both our chickens. He is so nice, helpful, and caring. He helped our one chicken during a bad case of bumble foot and our second chicken was recently attacked by a raccoon. He performed an amazing emergency surgery on her the day of the incident. She is back home and we can’t thank him enough for all he’s done. Thank you and of course we HIGHLY recommend! Previous clerk was very nice and always willing to help, although she has moved away, this is still the best place i have found to purchase my bird supplies. Vast selection of food, toys, cages and etc. Best part is that they have avian vets onsite. As well as other uncommon pets.

Best Avian vet in the RTP area, the staff and Dr B. are great and work hard to help you and your feathered friends.... If you call and Julie answers ask her how many days since she has been bitten (Elvis is a cute little guy, but can be evil to the female staff)...
