Wow they got some really good drip coffee (house blend) and matcha there. It was fairly priced and the wifi was good! Saw a lot of pastry options and will definitely try in the future. Overall a great spot to do some study on a weekend!

Favorite coffee shop in the neighborhood, by far! They make CONSISTENTLY excellent drinks, and scones I dream about (I didn't even like scones until I tried their spinach one.) They always have awesome music playing - I've even discovered new artists just by waiting in line to order. Love their efforts to reduce their environmental impact with compostables and encouraging reusable cups. They also always let me post a flyer for my foster dogs on their community bulletin board. These people rock, and I will always send friends and family there when they come visit Durham!

Came here a few days in a row while staying in the area— the consistency of pours and all pastry options were a 10/10. Wish this shop were closer to me!

This is hands down the best coffee shop in Durham. The coffee and tea taste consistently excellent. My only gripe is that I wish they opened earlier in the morning. However, I think they are worth waiting until they open.

Fav coffee in town! Love their coffee. Haven’t explore their menu much because I normally just order latte every time, which is very nice. Also I like how I can place order online easily so no waiting is needed. Besides coffee, the savory tart is also very yum, highly recommend.😋

Everything about this place is amazing. The staff were uplifting and kind. The atmosphere was great. And the coffee is just out of this world.

Joe Van Goghs is a great coffee shop with delicious vanilla lattes (My favorite so that's all I ever order!) and friendly staff. It's a perfect spot to hang out with friends, read a book or study. Both locations have indoor/outdoor seating. The Woodcroft location is larger than the Broad St one so more indoor seating options.

Our preferred coffee in town, even better than other Van Gogh locations. My favorite is the salted caramel latte but the beans are good generally

Sweetest baristas in town! I love JVG coffee and make it at home but I love coming in to get an oat latte in person- it always brightens my day.

Good espresso, good eats, good music. Friendly staff and they know how to make a very decent espresso. Home made lavendar syrop... wow!! Could probably stir the espresso more before pouring milk though. I will be back here again.

Apple butter crumb cake was yummy! Nice Assam tea as well!

I noticed that the Joe Van Gogh coffee shop on Duke Campus was closed in this summer,but how lucky is that we still have the other one located in Downtown Durham.I love the the red brick-building style,which make it seems has a long history.What's more,the soy latte is always my favorite coffee.

Awesome local hangout, with fresh roasted coffees, food, a great music playlist and lots of outdoor seating. This is definitely a repeat stop on my coffee tour of the Research Triangle.

JVG is easily one of my favorite coffees. They have amazing staff as well. When you visit, be sure to try the Honey Lavender Latte. They make their own syrup!

Good local coffee spot. Pretty hipster place. Not a lot of room to sit, but there is seating outside. When the weather is nice this is a great spot to sit and grab cup of coffee and get some work done. The people working here are great and will give you a warm welcome. They love to go into the details of the coffee if you have any questions. The coffee itself if pretty good. The regular coffee was strong and didn't have any after taste.

Good prices, creative drinks and frequent drink specials. It is a small location so small tables make sense. The internet is quick and easy. They have very delicious fresh baked goods and breakfast sandwiches from local bakeries and their own kitchens.

They also offer plenty of variety of alternatives to plain drip coffee and espresso. Their beans in both quality and variety are some of the absolute best. My favorite place to go to work in Durham!
