Vet tech Veronica took me and my newly adopted dog Wags and madeus very comfortable and Wags feel very well loved. She knowledgeably answered many of the questions I had planned to ask of the vet, Dr. Tam. Dr. Tam came in after about 20 minutes and spent about a half an hour in the initial exam, most of it just playing in making my dog feel extremely well excepted. He gave me expert advice and very thorough. Suggestions on how to best care for him. This is my first Visit to Cornwallis Road Veterinary and I was extremely pleased with the professionalism and genuine affection they have shown to my dog.

The care, kindness, and concerns for my champ was the best every that's how anyone should be treated when going to the hospital to be serviced. The best ever! Dr Jeffer is the best his professionalism speaks volumes and I love I didn't have a long wait.

I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Edwards and Dr. Jeffer and all the amazing staff at Cornwallis. They always make time for us, give us thorough explanations, and address all of our concerns. They always make time for our animals to adjust, and feel comfortable, and to get some treats and praise and affection. This is the clinic for all of you out there who love your animals like your children and your best friends. I was a Vet Tech for many years, and there is no clinic in this area I would recommend more highly than Cornwallis. Great for dogs and cats.

Jersey needed a vet when we moved to RTP. Our previous one has AAHA certificate so we decided to pick from that list. After scouring the reviews and comparing with other vets, Cornwallis fits most of our criteria, beside opening on Sunday, but it's not a deal-breaker. Things we put into considerations: preventive plans, dental care, senior exam, remote care, AAHA and good and reliable reviews.
I'm a very anxious dog mom because Jersey is a 10 years old baby. Dr. Tam has been very patience with us from the start. He treats Jersey with great care and addresses each of our concerns thoroughly. Everyone in the clinic make us feel comfortable and welcoming. Also, their scheduling system is chef-kiss. Convenience way to communicate with the staff.

This Animal Hospital is phenomenal! The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone here does 110% every day, goes above and beyond to help their furry patients, truly cares about each client as an individual instead of a number, makes time for each client no matter how busy they are, and it just really shows what a truly special Animal Hospital this is. So glad I found them and started using them for my fur babies because I know they’re getting the absolute best care.

Our pets have been patients of Dr Jeffers for over a year now. In that time, each of our dogs have had 2 wellness visits, other technician vaccine visits, and one illness visit. Our new kitten has gotten her checkups and vaccines as well. They have always checked up with us, readily booked appointments, and prescribed medication when needed even for after hours pick up. Today, I called and asked for my pets records and had all of them in under 5 minutes. I can’t say enough about how kind and well organized this clinic is, they always take their time with us and make sure our pets are comfortable with them and we really appreciate it.

This is an amazing place to take my animals. They treat my fur babies as they were their own. Any questions I have always answer everybody that works. There is awesome they go above and beyond for my fur babies Miss Scarlet had allergies her ear was bothering her. They gave me a medicine and within two days it was cleared up best vet I’ve ever been to.

It's hard to explain my relationship to Cornwallis Road Animal Hospital at this point. I have been going to them with my family pets at this point for something like 2 decades?!? Everything from my family pets growing up in the area, to the cat I got when I first moved out after college, to the 2 cats and dog I care for now with my wife. This vet facility has been there for all the joy, love, and pain that comes with loving, caring for, and sadly losing pets these past years. Even in the worst of times I have never felt that this vet clinic has done anything but provide the best care possible to my furry friends. Jeffer and Edwards have been absolute lifesavers in caring for my current pets and I can never thank them enough. At this point the only way I see myself changing vets is leaving the area completely, otherwise I will be returning here with all my current and future pets. Absolutely recommend this clinic, 5/5. Best vets ever.

I have been using Cornwallis Road Animal Hospital ever since I moved to Durham five years ago for my cats. All the vets and also the support staff have always been very caring, thorough, and friendly. I highly recommend them.

We've taken our dogs here for over 10 years. Amy Edwards, our vet, takes her time with Miss Peppers. The front desk team are friendly and helpful. The facility is clean.

We were referred to Cornwallis Road Animal Hospital by the NC State Vet school, who said they were one of the best vet practices in Durham and would do a good job with dental issues. Dr. Jeffer and the rest of the staff were so calm and kind that my normally timid dog stopped shaking and even allowed them to trim his nails, even though he normally doesn’t like his feet touched. Dr. Jeffer asked good questions and was a good listener. He recommended treatment that would prevent future dental cleanings and surgeries, whereas a previous vet had already pulled seven teeth and said my dog would need regular cleanings and would eventually need most of his teeth pulled. So I much prefer Dr. Jeffer, and really appreciate that he recommends ways that surgery can be prevented.

Recently moved from NYC to NC and as a dog mom I had to find a good vet for my pup. Cornwallis Road Vets are truly the best! Although we haven’t met personally I know they are loving and take good care of all their patients. They’re very understanding and always make time for their patients whether it’s for last minute appointments or simply responding quickly to emails. I highly recommend them to anyone with four legged children because after all, our pets become family and they deserve the best! Thank you Cornwallis vets and keep up the good work!

My dog and I love the care we are getting. I do suggest, however, that it cut back on the number of appointment reminders— once is enough if I reply with a confirmation.

We've been taking our current and previous dogs here for about 15 years, and everyone there has always been very caring and sweet to our bubbies, and great about discussing any concerns. We moved a bit out of the city this year and there are closer places we could transfer to but it's worth the few extra minutes drive.

Dr. Jeffer is the best! He was patient and thorough and even let my 11 year listen to our dogs heartbeat.

The Staff are polite, takes time to explain to clients even though I just called to ask about their cremation services.I had past experience with them about 10 yes.ago with my first dog for treatments, their prices is very affordable.More power to the Vets.and the whole staff.

I can't say enough about this Vet Hospital. We recently moved from Fl to NC and needed to find a Vet for our English Bulldog, Lola. We wanted someone who had experience because Bulldogs tend to have health issues. Dr. Edwards and the Staff are AMAZING! I treat Lola as my child, she's my world and no matter how many times I call the office with questions/suggestions regarding Lola's health, they're always so helpful and caring!

I am definitely one of those crazy dog moms but they never treat me that way, they show Lola so much love and truly care for her well being. I am so happy we found them! They have excellent customer service, response time and always do their best to accommodate any urgent issues that arise. Lola is doing well, she's healthy and happy..thanks Cornwallis!

The very best care that you could possibly give to your pet! I've been to Cornwallis Road Animal Hospital twice now with my cat Happy and would really never go anywhere else if I could. Every member of their team truly cares about your pet and is always incredibly helpful and kind. Dr. Jeffers and Dr. Edwards were both so gentle while handling Happy and very thorough with her exams. They are always willing to go the extra mile and spend time to address any (even very minor) concerns that I have about her health. I am so grateful for the amount of care that they put into looking after my baby kitty! We're really so lucky that we found Cornwallis Road Animal Hospital!!

I have been bringing my animals to this hospital for over 30 years and the service is always the same excellent! The staff Ashley. And Veterinarian were so friendly and knowledgeable. Great experience I would never go anywhere other than Cornwallis Road Animal Hospital. Goodness feels much better.

Best vet in Durham. I wholeheartedly trust that Cornwallis will have the best interest in myself and my pet above their bottom line. If you're new in the area or already have a vet, come here immediately - you're going to receive quality vet services at an affordable price. And yes, I have checked various surrounding vets in the Durham area to compare. My dog is currently enrolled in their wellness program that pays for itself. Not only that, but my pup has gone through a highly involved surgical procedure, and he's doing so much better now. I trust this vet so much! At the end of the day, my dog is always happy after leaving his appointments and that's what makes everything worth it! Come here!
