Johnny Cash Rest Area

Great rest stop right off the highway.

Bathrooms were clean and plenty of shade in the picnic areas to relax for a little before hitting the road again.

Clean rest stop with plenty of parking for cars and a couple dozen spots for trucks. Heated/cooled bathrooms were clean and had sinks with normal faucets which made washing your face and brushing your teeth easy. Plenty of picnic tables and an attendant. It states 2 hour limit and no overnight parking in the car area but I got a good nap in. There was allot of highway noise on the car side but the truck side was further back with a hill to deflect noise.

Very clean place. Quiet and picnic areas. Very pretty. Would have liked to walk in the wooded area s not but needed to get back on the road.

This is a beautiful area with plenty of outdoor seating. We stopped for lunch and sat in a covered area. We enjoyed our lunch as it rained around us.

Beautiful outdoor rest area! Restroom is dated but there are nice benches and some covered picnic tables also.

Fairly clean and safe place to stop. There was good cell single (AT&T), so we were able to have a business conversation that included Zoom video.

Great place to stretch your legs, lots of grass and mature trees. We enjoyed walking our dog around here. The bathrooms were also very clean.

I did not realize that it was the "Johnny Cash" rest area, I did not see any prominent signage at the rest area itself.

Peaceful, quiet. Says 2 hour parking but I've slept here a few times and never had an issue.

The dog and I thought the rest stop was very necessary and clean.

Pretty good rest stop. Not a huge amount of car parking and no RV services but when you need to rest your eyes you can't be picky. Large grassy areas and restrooms if needed. Well lit at night.

Clean washrooms with many stalls, 6 well stocked vending machines. Many picnic tables and benches with lots of parking. Really nice place to stop and take a break. I even strung up my hammock for a nap. If traveling within the state, be sure to grab a pamphlet or two as they contain many coupons for hotels and attractions.

Small but mighty. Clean, well lit, staffed.
