Catfish Kitchen

We went here for our Anniversary and let me tell you it did not disappoint! The catfish; the star was light and flaky and cooked very well, not over, not under. The mashed potatoes are real potatoes which made me smile it really bothers me to get instant potatoes at any sit down restaurant if they are truly worth their weight in salt. My husband has been saying he wants some good quail for 9 yrs and now we finally found the place! I've never had quail but it was delicious, melt in your mouth good. And the chocolate fudge pie was the perfect treat to top off the meal and since it was our anniversary it was on the house. 😊 Which brings me to the Awesome staff! Hailey was our waitress and she's excellent as well as the rest of the bunch were very welcoming and friendly! We will be back 100%!

This was a treat. The catfish is all you can eat! I had no idea. The fries and hush puppies were awesome. I love fries like theirs. Definitely check it out if you can.

Flawlessly down-to-earth fried catfish restaurant. Hush puppies and beans that come with the meal are great. Cute homey humble atmosphere, love it.

This place is great! I have missed eating good catfish and this visit made up for it. Beautiful view of the lake. Came here after church for Sunday supper. The fish was amazing which is what we came for. I loved the spicy fillet. It wasn’t spicy to me. We also ordered the breaded filet, broiled filet, and seafood platter and everything tasted great. Nice and flakey, perfect breading and seasoning. As for the sides, the white beans and hush puppies were excellent. The fries were soggy. The vinegar coleslaw was too sweet and the Mayo slaw was like soup. The onion rings had too much breading and hardly any onion.

My wife got frog legs & I got the classic fish fillets with fries & hushpuppies. The food is always excellent there, and the portions are always generous. You'll never leave hungry (or it's your own fault!) Service was fantastic & friendly as usual, tea glass never reached half empty. We got there right after opening on a Wednesday so we beat the normal dinner rush.

The best catfish of my life. Myself and friends were staying at Montgomery Bell and wanted to find some local food. This is good enough to travel to. Very friendly service. The hot boneless catfish, hush puppies, and mayo coleslaw are excellent.

We had a great experience at this restaurant. Great tasting catfish, great sides. Plus they give you more than most people can eat. This is definitely a place to check out.

Just great food great service and a great time! Quick and efficient.... Like they have it down to a science. Dinner only most of the time so check ahead to make sure you know what time.

Catfish is good. Hush puppies are AMAZING. Did I mention the hush puppies are great? The hush puppies are AMAZING. Sweet tea is good. Oh, and the hush puppies are AMAZING.

Always fast and delicious. Boneless filets, vinegar slaw, baked potato and hush puppies! Can’t go wrong!

Great catfish place. Make sure you are hungry because they will give you so much food! Better eaten there than takeout, but delicious either way. Google will tell you that you can order online, but it takes you to a catfish place in Murfreesboro, so don't be fooled by that.

Everything was delicious. Even the hush puppies! I'm not big on hush puppies but these were fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Never tasted anything like them. I can guarantee a return trip if only for the hush puppies.

I had the pleasure of dining at Catfish Kitchen in Burns, Tn and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The food was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection, I could not fault any dish that came out of the kitchen. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, perfect for a nice evening out. The service was also excellent, our server was prompt and courteous. Overall, I highly recommend Catfish Kitchen for anyone seeking a great meal in a wonderful environment.

My family is from Dickson, and every since I was a little kid every time we come to visit we make it a point to come to Catfish Kitchen. I always get the half order of catfish fillet, usually with a baked potato, and I have NEVER been disappointed. No joke, some of the best catfish I have had in my life! I was able to go last week while visiting, and tried the spicy catfish fillet for the first time. The breading was a little thicker than their regular fillet, but crisp and full of flavor without being overly spicy. The sides are served family style, which is dangerous for me, because I could easily take down a family's worth of creamy coleslaw, white beans with red pepper relish, and hushpuppies before my catfish even has an opportunity to get to the table. Those hushpuppies..... soooooo good! Nice and crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside.

Large parking lot out front with the iconic Catfish statue alerting everyone that they got the right place for catfish. The interior is unassuming, and according to my dad, hasn't changed much in the last 50 years. It's clean though, and in my opinion, if you have a good thing going, then why change? The staff is super nice, and they take cash and card. Please NEVER change Catfish Kitchen!
