Douglas County Health Check

You better pray to every God out there that Douglas county CPS doesn't get involved in your life. Money hungry. It doesn't matter if you do exactly what you're supposed to do they will not release your children to you. I did everything that the courts mandated me to do (in record time, within 3-4 months I completed treatment, found suitable housing, did every assessment needed and parenting time class as ordered for the conditions to get my children back) and I am still fighting with CPS to give me back my children because they don't feel that I have shown adequate progress even though I've done everything they told me to do. Heaven help you if Cindy is the supervisor because she just doesn't care.

Save yourself the time and don't bother. I have sewage seeping from the toilet in the apartment above me on to my cieling, an obvious health hazard that has hospitalized me, and I can't even get someone on the line to help me. I've been at this for over a year now trying to get some sort of help and I've had no luck. Department of health and safety used to mean something. Now trying to get someone to do their job is a useless effort. I mean I breath, eat, and sleep in human waste. Every other department I've called said "get ahold of Douglas county health check". What are we supposed to do when a whole departments job is to handle these sort of problems and I getting someone on the phone is impossible. They are open today and yet the phone lines there are not working. Do they even exist anymore? And if so what exactly do they do if it has nothing to do with public health and safety?
