GEM in Beaufort! This is the REAL DEAL for authentic Greek cuisine. The most gracious, warm-hearted mother and son team. When you walk through the door of this unpretentious “shack” you feel like family. This is a small, quaint, unassuming spot for solid Greek food. It’s small and quiet inside, great for a business lunch or catching up with an old friend. Everything is cooked to order so be patient. The portions are generous and their prices are so reasonable. It is totally worth the 75 minute drive from Charleston!! I wish I could eat here every day...I can’t wait to go back.

If I could give 6/5 stars, I would! This restaurant is to-die-for fresh and tasty. The atmosphere is also incredibly fun and relaxed. "Mama" is in the kitchen making the best from-scratch Greek food. I love the gyro, the gyro platter, and the eggplant parmesan. Since it's a small family-run restaurant, it is not open all the time, and that's the only negative. But when it is open, it's always a treat!

What a great spot this is! The son runs the front of the house and mom makes the delicious food in the back. Directly across the street from Beaufort Memorial Hospital er and only open for lunch M-Sat. The gyro pita was huge and under $8! Other customers were ordering a lot of soups and Greek salads as well as the daily specials, can't wait to go back.

First time eating there today & it was amazing! The waiter is awesome, friendly, and makes you feel right at home. They were busy, but the wait time on food was not bad and we had awesome service. Gyros were hands down best I have ever had. The tzatziki sauce was so good I could have eaten by itself! Also, the fried fish was amazing!!!

A small quaint little place. Was greeted warmly by the son who told me sit anywhere and that his mom will cook me a wonderful lunch. Ordered the gyro platter with the Greek salad and brown rice. Food came quickly and was very good. The “brown rice” wasn’t the typical brown rice with the bran. It seemed like white or parboiled rice cooked in possibly beef broth. It was very tasty but not what I would consider brown rice. After my meal the son surprised me with a complimentary baklava. It was probably the best baklava I’ve had in a long while. Definitely would come back next time I’m in the area.

The food was absolutely delicious and the staffs (mother & son duo) were more than pleasant.
They are very personal and definitely make you feel welcomed.
There are so many other dishes I haven’t tried here yet...I aim to try everything on the menu.

Stopped by for lunch because of good reviews, glad we did. Had 2 great appetizers, 2 delicious meals, and an incredible bread pudding for dessert! Mom cooks everything in the kitchen, son does everything else. Fast, friendly service, great food!

The owners of this restaurant are some of the nicest people in this city. The food is given that home-cooked authentic feel. Roughly 13 years ago I used to come here almost every day and order the same thing as a 16 year old student. They were always so kind to me and I just went back for the first time in almost 10 years and they treated me like I had never left. If you are visiting Beaufort or you just have never eaten here I implore you to go.

This truly is a little gem! The food was everything you would hope for when you go to your grandma’s to eat! Everything perfectly seasoned, soft tender meat and generous portions! But what also makes this place is the service. The sweetest of people run it and truly make you feel at home! My only complaint is that I didn’t know about this place sooner.

I had a Gyro and it was delicious. The pita bread was fresh and tasty. A very nice man was our server and his mom is the cook. The gyro meat was so good, I order meat Togo. Definitely recommend giving it a try for lunch since their hours are 10:30-2:30. Their hours are different since it's only him and his mom, but they do serve dinner of Friday Nights.

Love this awesome authentic Greek restaurant. Laid back, casual vibe with personalized service by family. They work very hard to please you. The food is fresh and delicious. I love the salads and humus. My husband loves the gyros.

Can't say enough good things. Authentic food, friendly service, and excellent baklava. Mother and son combo are fantastic and the food couldn't be better. We tried almost every dish on the menu and everyone was perfect. Highly recommend!

I went here for the first time today for lunch and let me just say, YUM! The staff was very friendly and the food was absolutely incredible! My husband got the falafel gyro and I had the beef gyro. He loved his and mine was AMAZING! The meat was incredibly tender and so much flavor! Can’t wait to go back and try other menu items!

Great food and service. We love this mother/son business. They treat you like family. Every dish is a favorite but I tend toward Momma's Stuffed Vegetables or her meatloaf.

This is delicious and yes you need to go there. Do not be in a hurry, they are a son and mother working very hard. It's always busy and from tables and to go orders. Also be prepared to find parking elsewhere or they to be closed for the day. The food is good and sells out fast. I recommend trying to get in early in the day.

Stopped at this place a few times a few years ago. The food is amazing! Love the interaction between the mother (chef) and son (server). We were also provided with free baklava on more than one occasion! If you visit or live in this area, you must check this place out!

My hubby and I just found this little gem on our way home from the beach. It felt more like Sunday dinner rather than a restaurant. We had the tzatziki appetizer and took three platters to go. Not only was everything delicious, Stephanos and his mom were delightful! We will definitely make this a regular stop on our way through town!

This restaurant is a diamond in the rough. If you want real Greek food and service 2nd to none - it's all here. Mother and son run the restaurant and the mother cooks. This is like going to a cozy home. Non pretentious, I would day "foodies" would be all over this place if they like Greek food. Storefront look from the outside. Not over the top in decor, but immaculate and you come here to eat!
Great prices too.
The only thing I would like changed is a larger hummus appetizer. The one being served is fabulous in taste, but is teeny in size.

Have lived in Beaufort on and off since 2006... was in town today running errands on Labor Day for my son’s Clemson move in this week.. Decided to give this place a try.. Amazed!!! Super friendly mom and son duo , clean and delicious , authentic Greek food. Why did I wait so long to try.. Will be going back real soon !!!!
