Walking the river was great! Wonderful views in both directions! The kids loved walking the trail and also playing on the playground! There are a lot of places to eat within minutes of the park if you plan on having a picnic! We will definitely be bringing the family back in the summer time!

A beautiful park located alongside the Cumberland River. A nice size parking lot and clean restroooms on site.
The park has several picnic areas, a playground, a BCycle station, and a boat ramp, as well as the "the River Flows Museum," depicting Clarksville's rich river history.

The park is also home to the Clarksville RiverWalk, a 2-mile walking trail that connects on the south end to the Upland Trail via the Pedestrian Overpass at College Street, and on the north end at the Red River across from the Clarksville Greenway.
It's also dog friendly with many dog waste areas and bins along the walk.
I was disappointed, however, to see so much trash and litter along the rocks and waterway.
As well as a lot of hooks and fishing lines. I picked up every hook I saw and disposed of them in my short walk as well as multiple glass beer bottles.
I will never understand why anyone litters or how anyone thinks nothing of it as they toss it among nature??? There were several trash cans scattered about. Just no excuses.
Im also surprised the employees dont clean up the debris and trash??? Especially all the hooks and lines that endanger the birds, fish, and all wildlife.

This review is specifically about the McGregor Park light display every year for Christmas. We go every year to see the display and the nice trees that are all decked out in lights however, I never really realized how much work Goes into applying the lights to the trees.

I want to acknowledge the people that wrap those trees with attention to detail and precision placement of the lights through tiny branches in the top of the trees. It takes skills and it’s noticed and appreciated. ❤🎄

This is a fantastic environment over seeing the river bend. The grounds are kept superbly clean, the trees are professional lit for the holidays and you're sure to always find a friendly face.

We enjoy walking here. We like watching the Cumberland River and seeing the confluence of the Red River. It's always fun to watch barges go down the river while you take a walk. The railroad bridge is a swing bridge to allow large vessels pass through. Today it was swung open leading us to wonder if a steamboat passed through and imagine the lovely sight that would be. Most of the other walkers had dogs, so a great place to bring your canine friends. Today we went inside the Cumberland River exhibit and learned a lot of history. It was a pleasant way to spend some time while getting in our steps.

YOU HAVE TO GO!!! They have done so much with this park. It is a great place to go with family for an outing, or by yourself for some meditation. I've included a lot of pictures that I took during Christmas. They really did a awesome job.

When you drive past this park, take a moment to park and look at the beautiful scenery. The visitor area shows history of Clarksville, and the view is delightful, especially as you traverse down the stairs or ramp towards the river.

Good fun place to play, fish, walk or just enjoy the weather. These were taken about a week ago as Clarksville was on the verge of flooding again. Take the time to enjoy it with the family, that is when it's not flooded lol. You'll enjoy every minute.

I can see from the road that it was a boat at the dock, and I am glad I stopped. It was breathtaking. It was a beautiful boat to look at it. I was glad to be able to take pictures.

Nice find! This park has plenty to do and see. I enjoyed the pavilion with all of the history kiosks. There is plenty of walking paths on the river as well as a play ground for the kids.

Been enjoying since I was a toddler. Wish we could swim in a clean river, but that EPA, not parks and rec.

@city officials, let's build a swing set for adults too.

Great place to relax and have your kids enjoy bike riding, ride scooter, enjoy boats viewing and great playground, sit on a swing and relax. Also you can cross a small bridge to go to Wendy's for a ice steam 🌹💕💕
