Oak Plantation Camp Ground

We have stayed her 4-5 times. We love the close proximity to Charleston. A lot of other activities in the area. We keep coming back, and will be back again. Great food truck on the weekends. Our recent stay was for 8 nights.

Great place to stay in Charleston. We had a good time. Sites were level. Bath houses were clean. They have propane too.

This was our first time here & I know it won't be our last.....! Honestly, we found nothing 'negative' about this camp ground-the people are friendly, the rates are reasonable, the sites are spacious & easy to navigate, the camp grounds/bath houses are clean & well maintained, the location is great-close enough to downtown, but far enough away that you feel like you're out in the woods, far away from the hustle & bustle of Charleston & the Wifi was amazing. We absolutely loved our stay here & will definitely come back. Highly recommend Oak Plantation Campground & we'd like to say thank you to the owners for providing such a wonderful place for us to call home for a few days......

We stayed here while going to a wedding. Super nice campground! Very clean, great location, clean bathhouse! It is on a busy road, but we had no problems getting out. We stayed in the back on road O. Only heard one ambulance one time. The staff was super friendly and helpful! Will definitely be back!

We luckily found this campground for a short stay in the Charleston area on our way to Jekyll Island. It was a pleasant surprise. The staff is friendly and helpful. The campground is clean, well kept, and the wifi is excellent. There is also a food truck available. The bathrooms and facilities were exceptionally clean. There are plenty of speed bumps to deal with but probably they are there for a reason as witness to one driver that basically ignored them and sped down the main entry.
In reference to complaints about the traffic, it is difficult when exiting the park onto the 4 lane trying to make a left turn. We just exited right, made another right at the traffic light and either turned around in a parking lot or just continued to our destination by going a different route.

Older nice maintained campground. Reasonably priced. The street you use to approach the campground is busy, so turning in may take a while. There is a pool up front that is older but its well maintained. The shower facilities are updated and super clean. Nice is that all camsites are far away from the street. You have the choice of grassy, gravel or full concrete slab. Partial or full hookup. Overall a great campground with some really nice mature oak trees. Everything was very nicely maintained and we encountered a friendly crowd of people there. We had a great stay and I recommend the Oak Plantation for a good overall value.

Great RV park. Staff is very friendly. The location is great. Really can’t think of a bad thing to say about it. Very clean and well maintained. Even the on-site store is reasonably priced. Will definitely stay again. THE WIFI IS STRONG AND FAST TOO.

Stayed on Q5 site. Very nice site, clean bathrooms, laundry and grounds. Very nice pool. We stayed for 5 days. Touring downtown Charelston. Will come back whenever in the area again. Very friendly staff

Beautiful and well maintained campground with the nicest staff. The land is huge with massive and majestic oak trees, so sites are large and shady. Laundry room is small but we never had to wait and it's very clean. The swimming pool is a great addition, although a little close to the main road. Historic downtown and folly beach is 30 min away.

Had a wonderful stay in this park. It was quiet and the site was lovely. Staff was super friendly and helpful as were the other campers. Washrooms were clean and I was able to do laundry. Great place to stay.

Stayed here 4 days while visiting Charleston. Check-in was quick, staff very friendly and polite! Stayed at site MM4, nice site, full hookup, clean and sites are grassy with gravel driveway and decently spaced. Large mature trees and grass was cut so easy walking. I really enjoyed staying here, it is quiet even though a busy road nearby at entrance to park. Used laundry inexpensive and clean. We went to a Sunday service at 830am, we were the only 2 campers, but it was good anyways. Cannot say enough good things about campground. Publix is just a 1/2 mile up the road and gas station. Easy drive into Charleston and other areas. I am fussy and will speak truthfully about what I review. Will highly recommend this campground. Pool was clean also...no complaints.

A very, very beautiful campground! The only very small drawback is the road coming out and having to turn left. Traffic is horrible. But, the campground itself is WONDERFUL! Very spacious sites. The people are very nice. I'm not sure what the future holds for this place. Some have said it's closing or something but I sure hope not! It was perfect to stay here to visit our daughter and son in law. I think it has too many speed bumps but I can understand why they have them too. I would DEFINITELY come back here! Loved it! We had site NN7 and it was on the end. Nice and quiet with quite a bit of grass for our dogs. Pretty level to add most of the sites are. Pretty big campground too. This also has very nice shower houses and it even has a working, yes a WORKING PAYPHONE! I loved it! What memories that brought back! Very, very nice!

We only stayed 2 nights but it was perfect for us. Shower house was clean (thank goodness) and it sure beat 5 of us trying to shower in the camper after a day at the beach. Totally not Oaks fault, but traffic in the area was terrible, won't stop us from staying again though! Thanks for having us!

Great place! Chris set me up and was super nice and flexible with everything. They have everything you need and even DVD’s for rent and the money goes towards a great cause! Shower house was clean and they have multiple showers and even washer and dryers! Can’t say enough good things about this place. Will definitely stay again

This is a nice campground in the Charleston area. The sites are large clear. Enough trees in the park to provide shade, but not be a hazard to RVs. The park is very pretty. There is a dog run, a playground, a pool, bathouses, and laundry. The front office is friendly and helpful. There is a small amount of necessities available for sale in the front office, but not a full store.

Great place to camp. My husband has been there since Dec. He had to find a location close to musc hospital ,cause his brother is currently there being cared for. I am so thankful for the amazing staff and owners of this camp ground . They are good people who have been really good working with my husband and making his stay comfortable.

It was a home away from home. You turn off of 17 and enter an oasis from the hustle of Charleston,James island and West Ashley. A central place for anything there is to do in the Charleston area at more than half the cost to stay. Outstanding staff and grounds. They take the old fashioned way of Southern Hospitality with service and welcome. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to stay.

This is a great place to stay!! Quiet..Lights , water cable and awesome wifi for 55 a night if you're retired/military.. will definitely stay here again if we're ever in South Carolina again!!!!

Very well maintained campground. Quiet and beautiful!

Called and left a message with an odd request for a last-minute, very short-term spot to test our newly acquired RV. They called back half an hour later and were courteous and gave a fair rate. Check in was a breeze and the little store seems to have most of the essentials. The park appeared well maintained and the spot we got was spacious. I only hung around a couple hours but the neighbors seemed friendly. Filled up on LP on the way out. I'll definitely come back when we're ready to overnight test the unit!
