The macaroni and cheese, hands-down best I’ve ever had. And I’m from the south. The fried chicken had a light, crispy batter. The sweet potatoes were excellent. The greens were sweet seasoned with ham. They had a great tuna salad and nice salad bar. Desserts were cakes, puddings and pie.
If you’re traveling through it’s right off 95 and so worth the trip.♥

I meant to take a photo before I started eating but I was hungry. It looked and smelt so home fresh that I started eating.
When I say it felt like we were at home or a family members house, we did. The staff were talking to us like we were kin.
Prices were so good, especially for portion sizes.
When they came to collect our plates, I have a smaller appetite so didn’t finish all my food and our server joked, “oh, honey. You gotta clean your plate.” I felt so at home. When going through this area….. you have to go stop by. I would give more than 5 stars but can’t.

It was very good the Service was a 10 the wait time about 5 minutes 😀 never had to wait for anything the bathroom 🚻 are very small but clean .

Great food, service and atmosphere. Fried chicken is spot on and so is the rice and gravy. All the desserts are fantastic.

My first comment when I walked thru the door was this place looks sketchy and I like it.

Simple menu for breakfast and it was all very satisfying. Waitress was friendly, food was delivered very fast and we left full. Will eat here 100 more times before any local fast food options.

We live in Florida and always make it a point to eat here when driving through SC! Today, I called ahead to see what time they stopped seating guests and they said 1:35. When I told the woman on the phone that we always eat there when we're in SC and our GPS was saying the exact same time as they stopped seating guests, I begged her to let us grab food if we were late🤣 We arrived exactly on time and she came over to our table and asked if we were the ones from Florida and when I said yes, she said, "thank God, because I told my kitchen we couldn't stop serving until y'all got here and had a chance to eat!" They also put out banana pudding for us after the buffet closed, and if y'all know anything about the banana pudding, y'all know everyone in the restaurant was thankful for that! Their kind staff and amazing food will keep us driving out of the way to have the most amazing buffet!

The wife and I were in town and we asked some locals where the best place to eat was, and if your looking for authentic local food, old house cafe is your place. We got the lunch buffet which came with fried chicken, Mac and cheese, green beans, mashed potatoes and so much more. The chicken was moist yet crunchy, the Mac and cheese was my favorite. The noodles were cooked perfectly and it was cheesy, so cheesy! Green beans were par. The mashed potatoes lacked a little seasoning but they like everything else were cooked perfectly, so fluffy. Hands down, some of the best local food I've had in the area, highly recommend.

My son and I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast today. Skip the chain restaurants and eat here.

As a wedding vendor myself it was challenging to choose vendors for my own wedding. I work with so many great vendors all the time, but those weddings are strictly professional even though we form personal relationships with each vendor.
When choosing Olde House to cater our wedding Casey and his team were thorough and responsive throughout the whole process. Casey helped to ensure that our guests left "fat and happy". His staff was so nice and helpful the whole time! Olde House truly "catered" to every. single. need. we had! Not to mention we had several dietary restrictions and they handled each with care!

Food was delicious. We dined here on the day they had beef stew, fried chicken not were very good. They have awesome lasagna on Thursday too.
Atmosphere it was crowded and the place is small so be patient if you go here.
Staff was busy but the service was still pretty good.

Traveling from Savannah Georgia to Cleveland Ohio and stopped here to eat. No lie, they have the best fried chicken I have ever eaten. My husband had their hamburger steak and said it was also amazing! I could talk about how wonderful their mashed potatoes were too but don’t want to make this too long. I will be dreaming of their fried chicken

Friendly staff and great food! I loved the shrimp poboy, and my husband enjoyed his Philly cheesesteak. The French fries and onion rings were delicious!

1 of the best places to eat in Walterboro!!! Food was perfect and the service was on point they didn't miss a beat when it come from the moment you walk in till the moment your done.

Don't pass up this local gem. Fried chicken, hash over rice, fried pork chops, hamburger steak, mac n cheese, etc etc, and an awesome salad and steam table/buffet. Don't forget the banana pudding. Modest prices. Some of the finest folks you'll ever meet. Exit #57, like the steak sauce! 😉

Amazing food! Only meat I eat is seafood. I figured it would be highly fried....well the shrimp poorboy was spectacular! Lightly breaded shrimp that were delicious in a very soft hoagie bun. The other 3 in our party ate from the buffet and they also raved about their food. A true delight in a quaint town! Highly recommend the food and the folks that work there are very pleasant.

Perfect breakfast stop on our Florida-bound road trip. Super affordable, very friendly service and a generous buffet spread. Also the best biscuits I've ever had. Thanks for a great experience!

Highly recommended! I got the buffet which was only $14 with my tea included, and hubby got the roast beef on Texas toast with fries (which was 8 + 3, if I remember correctly). We both enjoyed our meals and will come back. We're just sorry we finally made time to try it, and we're moving in less than a year. Don't make the same mistake! 😀

Been here 3 times and each time has been fantastic! We ordered from the menu that included the salad bar and it was fresh and tasty! My husband ordered the chicken fried chicken, it came with a biscuit that was made in heaven; the biscuit made us want to order a dozen before leaving! Service was wonderful and attentive! We will return!

Oh my goodness! Their slogan, "Country Cookin' Makes You Good Lookin!" Must be true. The food is so good, so soulful, that when you leave you are so full you could roll down the street in udder bliss!!! The chicken fried chicken was the best I've ever had. Others had the seafood platter, fried shrimp, and bread pudding!
This is better than coming home to mom's house for Sunday dinner!
