Portofino Italian Restaurant

NJ is the pizza capital. Moving here from NJ I can say this is the best pizza in the area. We had a XL cheese pizza and the steak calzone. The Calzone was very good. Only recommendation is that they heat the cup of marinara.

Would give 10 stars if possible! Super nice, friendly and relaxing atmosphere. The food is SO GOOD. We had the Bruschetta bread and 2 medium calzones. I had the meat lovers calzone and my husband had the steak one. Each was $12.99 for a medium and they're stuffed full! Service was awesome as well! Pro tip: make art out of your trash & put on the plate to make the waitress/waiter happy instead of leaving it for them to pick up.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The owners are genuinely nice and prepare all the meals. You can dine in or take out. The prices are really good considering the amount of food you get. The food is really good too, my favorite is the Stromboli and Calzones. I actually hate Calzones, except for theirs...no ricotta and that makes me happy. 😁

Just had a great deluxe pizza. Toppings were generous and the crust was perfect and crispy. Cheesy bread had same delicious crust. Had a taste of cheese ravioli and loved the fresh tomato sauce flavors.

Best pizza i’ve ever had, genuinely. Had my doubts because i’d never been here, ending up telling my friends about it. I didn’t like the pasta alfredo, but to each their own. Highly recommend. This pizza was 8 big slices for 9.99!

The meal came out quick and tasted wonderful. The deluxe calzone had a perfect amount of toppings and perfectly crispy crunch. The pizza we got also had a good amount of toppings. Our server was very nice and took great care of us.

Not a single patron was in the restaurant when we got there, so I was a bit worried. But the service and the food were excellent! Definitely recommend! Pleasantly surprised.

If you a looking for the best Italian food in this area, it is right here. The food is incredible and portions are generous. When you taste the food you can tell that the owner puts taste and quality as a priority

Service could be better and seems like they are short staffed

Atmosphere of the interior is good but exterior parking lot and face of the shop should have some type of make over as it is hard to see and comes across as a slightly worn out house

Also recently, it looks like they are having issues with fruit flies in the restaurant as other reviews are sharing, but I’m sure it will be resolved and hope to enjoy their food once more

That being said, even with all those cons the quality of the food can’t be beat and I still stand by the 5 star

Have been eating here as often as possible since trying it out around 4 months ago! Lunch specials are awesome especially for the price! Today my very picky 8 yr old daughter ate here for the first time trying the kids pizza pictured below and absolutely loved it which is huge for us! Love the food, servers and atmosphere!!

I have always loved the food. I really hope u don't close for good. I can't believe the place was never very busy . I think it's more the location that's the problem.

This was our 2nd visit and we had my wife's birthday dinner with a party of 10. We had it the Sunday following Valentine's Day so we made reservations for 3pm.
The waitress was awesome and the food was just as good, as usual. The portion sizes are amazing. We couldn't be more pleased and will definitely return.

The food was really delicious. The waitress was really friendly too. Honestly didn't even know the place was open, but we are sure glad we found it!

I ordered the chicken alfredo and there was so much of it that I had to take part of it home with me the waitress I don't really think she knew what she was doing she only checked on me once and that was when she took my order but the overall experience was okay

Another yearly visit. Same great food, same great waitress, but had no lemons, ran out of bbq sauce when asked for some for my BBQ chicken Stromboli. Water leaks are being caught in buckets. I'm not sure what's happening, but they must upkeep building to make people want to come more! I love the food, but when the building is falling apart, one questions the freshness of the food. We had a stupid nat bug flying around us the entire meal. I want this place to succeed because food and service are soooo GREAT! HOWEVER, if the building upkeep is not taken care of, customers may stop coming in. Which would be very sad.

Absolutely delicious 😋 😍. I had a house salad with their homemade ranch, which is amazing 👏 😋. I also had a medium BBQ chicken Stromboli that is huge! 2 meals for me and still able to share. My sister had a pasta dish, my dad had spaghetti 🍝, and my mom had a shrimp 🍤 salad 🥗. All the food was remarkable to include the garlic bread 🍞 😋 . Rachelle was our server. She made the visit the greatest!!!! Her personality, her customer service, and kind words will keep my family returning!!! Highly recommend if you are living nearby, but especially if you are visiting!

LOVE LOVE THEIR STROMBOLIS/CALZONES!!! So good and the large is HUGE, we eat on it for days but cant lie we always get the fried cheese raviolis as an app so delicious!! (We fight over them lol) Also really like their homemade marinara nice garlic to it! It's nice to have this really good Italian style restaurant in Morristown!

The food was a little slow to come out, but it was worth the wait. The breadsticks were so good and the cheese ravioli was amazing. My husband said the alfredo was also good and my mom got ziti and liked it too. Wanted to try dessert but was too full! We will definitely be back though.

This is truly a wonderful restaurant! We were a little skeptical heading in but so glad we did! The food is amazing! My husband and I ordered the calamari, he had the Chicken Parmesan and I had the deep ocean pasta. I am not a fan of pasta but this was ridiculously delicious! We will be returning to this hidden gem of a restaurant! What a treat!

Ordered cheese pizza and pepperoni for the second time. Very large pizzas at a very reasonable price and very good.

We were looking for a good calzone and found this place on Google. We have been there 3 times now and have eaten every bite of our food even if we had as leftovers the next day! Everything we've had has been delicious! We've only gotten takeout and hope to eat there one day soon. This is definitely a hidden gem in Morristown. I LOVED the garlic knots! We moved here from Florida 8 years and have finally found good food like we used to get in Florida! Definitely recommend this restaurant!
