Tamale appetizer is Excellent! Highly recommend. Try it with the chili con carne topping, wow.

Carne Asada is good but the Mexican Pepper Steak is Outstanding! My new favorite.

Chicken tortilla bowl is large and very good. Going through the menu and finding good food. Margaritas half price Wed.

Regular Margarita drinks are not strong. Do not order extra strong margaritas, they way over charge to make a stronger drink. Waitress told me the strong Margarita they make is called Top Shelf and it is Excellent! Highly recommend one, kudos to you if you drink 2 🎉

The best tex-mex restaurant in the historic stockyards. We've enjoyed this place for over 40 yrs. Food ,drinks and atmosphere are terrific. Anytime any day. Small or large parties.

We got to back Los Vaqueros. We ate there when they first opened. My husband coworker’s in-laws opened it years ago. And then my coworkers would eat here at lunch every so often. It is still just as good as when we first had a date there.

Excellent food, excellent service. You can't go wrong with this place. Recommended!

I am still drooling over their very tender and juicy brisket tacos. Best Mexican food in the stockyards! They have easy parking and great attentive servers. Good quality margaritas. We were able to make a reservations on open table so we didn’t have to worry about getting a table.

This is a large Texas restaurant with a lot going on inside. Great food and service. I would come back here the next time I’m in Texas. Salsa on the table is definitely homemade and has a nice kick from the jalapeños. The margaritas here are very good as well, and are a great start to a night at the Stockyards.

Friday evening during the Christmas holiday season. We had reservation for 8 and 13 showed up but had to wait only a short time. We were graciously accommodated and our server was excellent!
I haven’t eaten here in many years and I must say, the quality & taste of the food has taken a huge leap toward excellence. Their salsa is the best I’ve ever had the Chicken Quesadilla I ordered was so tender & flavorful! This is one of the best Mexican dinners I’ve had in a while. Everyone in our group complimented the food & several of us bought big tubs of salsa to take home.

We made a last minute reservation for lunch with a group of 30 of us. They so kindly accommodated us and had our table ready and even all together! Jesse was our waiter. We had impeccable service. Not one thing was incorrect. He was so attentive. We thanked him a thousand times because we were just so pleased with his service for 30!! The food was great. The restaurant is very large! Tons of room. Drinks were tasty too. Thank you so much Jesse!!

This is a very nice place to come and visit. Have a celebration.
The waitresses are definitely friendly and helpful.
What I observed this is a very clean environment.
Lots of places to sit. Looks like they have rooms that you can reserve for your special occasions.
Well lit and has a wonderful ambiance.
The food is very flavorful and Rich.
Be careful because the plates are hot when they bring out your food.
The menu has a lot to choose from.
Today I chose chile rellenos and chicken enchiladas.
If you can see the combination of cheeses are ooey gooey.
As well as tasty.
The chicken enchiladas were oh-so-good with a combination of sour cream and spices for the topping.
The salsa! Oh my. For my Pace had just the right amount of bite.
The sweet tea is delicious.
The lemonade taste reconstituted.
The flavor of the beans were awesome. The beans were just a tad bit too firm for me.
I have had before sopapillas but none like these.
Tender as mother's love.
Almost eye rolling good.
Topped with honey and butter!
Bite that and you might slap somebody. Today on a scale from 1 to 5. I will get you a 4!

Spacious with plenty of room to walkthrough.(for those who are blessed with more than most)

Such a nice place! Food is delicious, bottomless chips, with fresh salsa.

Wow, this place is a hidden gem! So glad we gave it a try. I had this chicken specialty dish with mushrooms that was out of this world! The sauce was so flavorful & unique. The flan was delicious too!

It was also incredible service! Our guy kept a good eye on us, and stopped by at just the right times without being intrusive.

And it's massive too, stockyards themed of course. Looked like they had a room for special events... I'll be back for sure!

Los Vaqueros was a lovely place for lunch or dinner. It was a huge restaurant that also had a separate banquet area and a separate bar. It had a great Monterrey theme. The salsa at the beginning was a little bland but it wasn’t bad. I had the sour cream enchilada and it was hands down one of the best I have ever had. My husband had the tortilla soup with stuffed avocado, it had very fresh ingredients. Filling, without being heavy. Our son had the carne asada salad. He also enjoyed his meal. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a good Tex-Mex restaurant in the Fort Worth area

I would like to thank the wait staff at Los Vaquersos for their excellent service for my brother in laws wedding reception. The food and service were 5 🌟 stars. We also enjoyed the beautiful scenery as well. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

Wonderful Mexican food in Fort Worth. Imagine that!! The decor was very impressive? The margaritas to Di for, the food was amazing and the company was great. Enjoyed an afternoon in the Stockyards with Mike, Lea Ann, and John.

This is some of the best Mexican food you will find near the stockyards! The salsa is great, and so is the food. Highly recommend! 👍🇨🇱

I loved this restaurant! The salsa was spicy but oh so good! Mouth watering fajitas and loved the atmosphere!

Also great location to host rehearsal dinner, birthdays, graduations or any event! Very reasonably priced and they let you pick color for charger, napkins and table runner

We had a party of 25 plus, with only one server. Madison was her name and she was GREAT!!!! It was like there were three of her. I never saw anyone lacking for beverages or food. She had the friendliest demeanor and was very patient with the indecisive nature sometimes inherent to large groups. I had several of our guests mention how excellent our service was. Cudos to a very hard working young lady. Los Vaqueros should be proud!!

It has been awhile since we've visited but we decided to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary because we've always enjoyed the food and service here. My knees were feeling the Mt Everest high stairs but I made it. For the no-stairs people rest assured, they have a mile long ramp you can take instead. ;) The brisket tacos were delicious even though my wife had to fish out a pretty decent size of fat/gristle from one of them. The chimichanga with beef fajita was delicious. The meat was extremely tender. We splurged and shared a margarita and it was delicious too. Only drawback to the margarita was we think the glass was completely wet because the salt that was supposed to be on the rim was barely hanging onto the base of the glass stem. I guess the salt had already been sipping the magarita and slid the the stem in it's drunken stupor?? o.O But overall a great time nonetheless. Oh and the sopapillas were tasty as well.

I haven't been to this restaurant since around 2009 for a Christmas holiday luncheon with my office but I remember it being so lovely and the food so delicious!

Well, my husband suggested it a couple of weeks ago after a doctor's appt and I vaguely remembered the name. Once we got there, I immediately recalled the visit from 2009 and was excited to go again and I was NOT disappointed! I ordered the chicken fajita quesadillas and he ordered the beef fajitas. The service was incredible! Our server was so attentive and so sweet and met our every need! The food...omgsh...the food! So delish! I cannot wait to go again and definitely will not allow so many years to pass before I revisit them!!

Do yourself a favor and go right away! The restaurant is gorgeous and gives all the holiday coziness as well as that Fort Worth Cattle town vibe!! You can't go wrong with this place! 🥰
