Hampton Inn Salt Lake City-Downtown

This was a great place to stay! The desk staff were really great to help us get a quiet room on the top floor. They gave us complimentary bottles of water as well. The lobby was open and clean, and the snack and hot drink stations were well stocked. Our room had two queen beds, a fridge and snack racks, and a coffee pot with complimentary coffee. We didn't eat breakfast here this time, so I'm not sure what foods were served or how that meal was.

The room was really clean, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. Instead of a closet to store the ironing board, iron, hangers, and a stand for suitcases, this room had a curtained off area along one wall. There were three sections of rods in this closet to hang clothes and store travel items out of view, which helped keep the room looking tidy. There was an extra blanket on the top shelf. The window had a rolling light-blocking blind that covered the window opening quite well, and it also had a semi-sheer curtain with a long pole attached at the top to glide the curtain closed. The overlap of the curtain and the curtained closet blocked any light from that side of the window. The bathroom had a bar of face soap in a tray to wash hands and, of course, faces with, along with a bottle of hand lotion that was attached to the countertop. The shower had bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash attached to the wall. The one thing I didn't like was that there was a locked door between our room and another room. If I came with more of my family members, the attached two rooms would be perfect. But, in our circumstance, we preferred not to have that door or its occupants, accessible to our room. So, I followed advice from online and twisted a hand towel between the door and the security bar, and tied it closed in several places with hair elastics for extra security. We also put a rolled up towel next to the main door to block light and muffle hallway sounds.

The pool was on the bigger side, and the area around it was really clean. Next to it was a gym with nice equipment. We didn't use the pool or gym on this trip.

I didn't get many pictures of the lobby, hallways, or our room on this trip, but I have posted those I took.

I highly recommend this hotel to all who are traveling to Salt Lake City. It's close to all the fantastic areas and eateries in downtown as well as some canyons that are great to explore. I will definitely stay here the next time I'm in Salt Lake City for business or pleasure.

Stayed here for 5 nights for a meeting. The room was clean and the staff was great. Water was provided everyday, along with hot breakfast. There is a gym and a swimming pool too.

After having a nightmare experience at the crystal inn I came here, Very friendly front desk, helpful and efficient. Were were checked in less then 10 minutes without a reservation. Pool and hot tub were awesome. Nice and clean rooms. I would definitely stay here again.

Room was very comfortable, service was outstanding. The front desk had texted me how I liked the room I told them I wish it had a microwave. They sent one right up!!
This really wasn't a vacation. My husband had surgery at the Huntsman.

Very nice rooms with great service and good breakfast. We requested a quiet room away from elevators etc but still got a room close to the elevator and electricity room. Turned out not to be a big issue because the hotel was quiet. It's next to a busy street so you can have some noise coming in from there. Airco was quite noisy but that's more a rule than exception with Hampton, Holiday Inn and Best Western as it seems. Complimentary parking and lots of good restaurants at walking distance.

Clean rooms, free breakfast, has a gym, pool and a jacuzzi, in a great central location that is quiet with a mountain view. Could anyone ask for more? Great for a business trip and family vacations. Not really "romantic" but I guess with the right person anything can be romantic.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay. The staff is helpful and friendly! The breakfast is amazing and the hotel is very clean. You're minutes from most things downtown. We stayed during a conference and although it was very busy, it was very quiet. 10/10 would recommend!

We were here for one night only, but our family of four had a comfortable stay. The room was clean, tidy and well maintained. Check-in was swift and polite. The hotel is in a convenient location, relatively close to the airport and downtown.

The hot breakfast had a decent selection. I managed to snap some photos to give an idea of what was available. You can make your own waffles, which is always fun.

Guests have access to a gym and pool, although we didn’t make use of those facilities. There is also a water filling station by the elevators, which was very handy.

This hotel gets my recommendation.

Wonderful hotel in downtown Salt Lake! The rooms were super nice. The workout room has a pelaton bike (score!) vs the lame recumbent bikes normally found in hotel workout rooms. The only downside is there was quite a bit of noise (to no fault of the hotel itself) with police sirens late into the evening and construction early in the morning next door. I would still definitely stay here again!

Great stay: bed was really comfy, next to a park & shortish walk to downtown (maybe 10-15 min?) — about 25 min walk to the creek outdoor mall which is really nice. Tons of breweries nearby and restaurants. Everyone was really nice and the muffins at breakfast were great. For waffle lovers they even had chocolate sauce and whip cream! Would absolutely stay again — especially for the price + free parking.

We have gone to the Hampton inn many times. But this was the first time at this location. It was great, clean and quiet despite being right in the middle of the city. It was close to all the places we needed to go so we were able to walk which was convenient and allowed us to appreciate the city a little better.

The guy who works at the front desk is very nice and friendly! I was here for army reserves and he was just very kind and informative. The staff work very hard and they are always cleaning! This place is clean, nice and comfortable! The gym has variety, with lots of equipment. Breakfast is free with a decent amount of different selections. They greet you when you come in/out the door with greetings of hello or goodbye, even if you pass the cleaners in the hall they say hello, do you need anything? Such an amazing bunch of hard workers with good work ethic and personality towards their quest!

Not ostentatious or close to the convention center but nice and clean! Plan a 20 minute walk to convention center. Pool Spa and exercise rooms huge bonus plus breakfast was an impressive variety and very good. Staff and especially housekeeping is outstanding.

Stayed here for three nights for a concert. The room was great! 24 hour pool that was really clean as well! The service was amazing! Jeffery checked us in and was very pleasant to work with. Absolutely no complaints, would definitely stay here again! :)

Stayed 3 nights at this location while visiting Salt Lake City. Have nothing but positive things to say about this hotel. Conveniently located off Freeway 15 with ample free parking spaces. Friendly staff, clean facility with delicious complimentary breakfast served from 6 AM thru 10 AM. Clean room, comfortable beds and nice city view from our room. Loved the complimentary fresh coffee and tea provided all day long. 20 minutes of easy walk to downtown Creek Mall.

Treat you with respect and courtesy. Wonderful breakfast. Very clean rooms. Gym had ample room and equipment. Business office very accommodating. Great staff.

This hotel is very easy to work with whenever I book my work trips. The rooms are perfect, the service is great and they are consistently asking what else they can do to make my stay perfect. I stay here every week for my work trips.

Great location, sure like any downtown there’s some homelessness, but it’s safe, clean, and decent breakfast. In fact, we cancelled our other hotel on the backend of our trip to stay here. We had great customer service, they even have a luggage scale if you need to weigh your heavy bags.

There is always something to complain about in hotels. The room was pristine. The location is perfect. I can't complain about the service provided here. This time at least for me was a great experience.
