Texas Health Harris Heart Center

I went in for an ablation in October 2022. I was amazed at how effecient the entire medical was. They were friendly, caring and just plain awesome. The team during surgery were like a well oiled machine. Each of them did a wonderful job. I highly recommend Texas Health Harris Heart Center

It’s really disappointing that this score is because of the cardiologists’ care at this hospital. House cleaning was good, food was good, nurses were friendly and kind, but the doctors which seen BRIEFLY, had poor eye contact, no conversations with my husband discussing his case, changed three of his medications, either stopping them with no explanation as to why, and doubling up on another. They had never reviewed his history nor had the cardiology RNP, so decisions were made without review of his history which they had received typed up, not only by us, but sent to them from the ER. The doctors attending at Harris Heart Hospital in FW could really learn from the efficiency and communication ability of the Texas Health ER in Willow Park/Hudson Oaks.

Dr. Padala, the cardiovascular doctor, - when he finally made his round to the room yesterday, he never discussed the medications, or the changes he or another doctor made. One of the important medications for blood pressure was stopped, and as a result his blood pressure was going up. Communication with patient and caregiver is important. He just left everything to the nurses, who said we needed to discuss with Dr. Padala. He didn’t discuss anything. He looked at floor when he was asked a question.

We were hoping to get some recommendations from them about a FORT WORTH cardiologist since currently we still drive 1.5 hours to a cardiologist who knows his condition and is superb. Cardiologists working on staff or using hospital privileges should be top notched, able to communicate and always review the history of a patient. Dr. Padala didn’t even seem to be aware of the medications given that morning. Staff can only do what the doctor orders or doesn’t order.

Be sure you know your medications well and question everything being given or not given in this part of hospital if you HAVE to be hospitalized.

This place is a joke to the point to where you care more about covid then morals. Not even allow elderly to see there ADULT children. Aliance is better then this place. Considering this place shows "5 stars" im sure my review will be taken down
