What is the cost for a DL Permit? What proofs are needed?

Always nice and helpful.

Small, quick, and really nice. I'm hispanic and going to renew my license in an all white town is intimidating but I didn't feel out of place when I was there and that means a lot.

THIS OFFICE CLOSES FOR LUNCH AT 12PM TO 1 PM, AND STOP PROCESSING AT 3:15 PM.

I thought they just updated the driver license systems?!!? Well apparently they didn't get it right because I took my niece to get her license today and we were the 2nd people in line and it still took 2 and a half hours because the system kept going down, Chilton County desperately needs more updates....

What do taxpayers pay for? The court house is open, we should be able to get a license renewed. You'd be better off going to a different county that is open everyday like a normal service should be.

They are only open 3 days a week for 6 hours, I have been calling them for those three days every single hour they are open and not a single person has answered the phone. I have called 28 times in the past three days and nothing, they dont even have a voicemail system for you to leave a message. I called the courthouse they are located in and the reseptionist plainly said they just dont answer their phones at all and she refused to take a message for me saying they were never going to read the message. She told me the only way they were going to speak to me is if I physically went down there but only when its not durring testing hours which leaves a total of 90mins durring a full day. And since it's 3pm on a thursday they close in 30mins so now I have to wait 5 days before they are even open again. This is the most mind blowing thing for a whole government office to just refuse to answer the phone, they should be fired and the fact that the city knows this is going on is appalling. I wish I could say I am being overdramatic but I am not, the courthouse clerk actually told me they just outright refuse to answer phone calls even if someone is in the office.

The hours are infuriating. How do they expect people who work to get anything taken care of when they're only open from 9:00 to 3:30 on three days a week?

This place needs to get their hours correct on the web!
