Dr. McOmie and his staff, especially Chandra, are beyond excellent! I was afraid to get hearing aids due to the stigmas of hearing loss, the price, and the lack of professional treatment I experienced at another hearing aid business. I found excellent reviews of Dr. McOmie online and after speaking with his wonderful Patient Care Coordinator, Chandra, who assured me that Dr. McOmie is the best, I booked an appointment that changed my life. Dr. McOmie provides the highest level of professionally trained, skilled, and compassionate treatment in his audiology practice. Dr. McOmie also knows what he is doing because he has worn hearing aids since his youth. As a result, he is absolutely dedicated to helping others hear sharp and stay sharp to fully engaged in life. I was starting to drop out of activities and conversations and to turn the volume on TV up too loud! My family was concerned and I was concerned and embarrassed. Dr. McOmie saved me from retreating from life and social interactions. Dr. McOmie gave me the joyful gift of being able to hear sounds around me again which also keeps me engaged & safe. Dr. McOmie and Chandra worked with my insurance, set a fair price, and does not push one hearing aid over another. He lets you try them all to find the perfect fit for you and then he continues to fit & monitor you for no additional charge to adjust these mini computers on my ears & to fine tune them for my very best hearing experience! I rejoiced when i could hear the birds while hiking, hear my skis carving the snow, hear people, bikes, and cars approaching me from behind, and to hear conversations in many type of loud & quiet environments so I can fully engage socially again! My family & I celebrated when I could finally turn down the volume on the TV! I can listen to my audio books, videos, and phone calls through my hearing aids and the aids are practically invisible. I feel that Dr. McOmie has definitely affected my hearing & my life for the better. Now I am always going to wear my “hearing aid computers” as I never want to miss out on life again! Thank you Dr. McOmie and Chandra for helping me engage again in a fuller life!

Recently took my mother, who is 87 years old, to have her hearing checked. Dr. McOmie spent quality time fitting her with new hearing aids and she couldn't of been more happier with the results. I totally recommend Dr. McOmie for any related hearing issues, plus he is a really nice man and great to deal with.

I just want to update my experience with Dr. McOmie and his awesome Office Staff! Dr. McOmie has had several molds made for my Hearing Aids so they fit snuggly into my ears but easily to handle. It is so awesome to go to a doctor’s office and not just the doctor but the whole staff shows they care for your hearing and your whole well being! If I could, I’d give them all 10 STARS!!! Having had severe hearing loss my entire life, I have been to several audiologists throughout the years… Mark is by far the best that I have ever been to. I refer everyone that I know that is struggling with hearing loss or looking to hear better. In fact, his commitment and quality of care towards his patients and hearing, has myself, several family members, and friends traveling 300 miles to see him since he moved from my hometown in wyoming to start Sharp Hearing in Utah…..I recommend Mark and Sharp Hearing to anyone in need of better hearing.

Dr. McOmie is beyond exceptional. My husband has needed hearing aids for years. Dr. McOmie was so helpful in getting the correct set and then helping him to fine tune them afterward. We have been so impressed with his knowledge, his kindness, and his ability. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I very rarely write reviews… but this one is worth reading, I promise. I’ve been wearing hearing aides since birth, for 43 years. I have a severe-profound loss yet I’m oral. It’s a double-edged sword, having such a challenging loss whilst living a mainstreamed life; always needing the best technology to keep up with the hearing world (because honestly and sadly enough we deafies accommodate the hearing). I have navigated many avenues; audiologists & brands of hearing aides. So many times I’ve felt unheard, dismissed, and ripped off… but not at Sharp Hearing! Dr. McOmie is intelligent, innovative, and awe-inspiring. I respect that he has a doctorate degree and that being fully educated and experienced is so important to him, providing the best for his clients. He’s one of us, he completely understands our needs and frustrations. I’ve had my ears tested dozens of times, yet He did things I’ve never had an ‘audiologist’ do before; different kinds of test and techniques to get the most accurate test results, best hearing quality, and perfect fitted custom molds. He listened to my story with care and told me all about himself, we found that we have a lot in common (like so many of us in the deaf community do) and I love that I can have an audiologist “who gets it”! Also, I got quotes elsewhere beforehand for a couple thousand more than what he would charge for the same very best hearing aides. The staff is very accommodating and pleasant too. I will be a customer for life and I highly recommend everyone to do their business here.

I usually am not one to post reviews but Sharp hearing was absolutely amazing! I was very nervous going into my appointment and they made me so comfortable throughout the appointment. Dr. McOmie was so great at explaining things so easily and made me feel comfortable through the whole appointment. The darling girl at the front desk was so helpful as well. Their pricing is way less than anyone else I’ve been to by far!! Definitely will recommend them to anyone.

Very knowledgeable and dedicated audiologist with expertise in treating tinnitus. Mark was the seventh audiologist I had seen for my tinnitus and by far the most helpful. At every step of the process--testing my hearing, choosing and then and programming hearing aids--he has been methodical and solicitous. We tried (and re-tried) several hearing aid options, and he took the time to make sure I had the ones that worked best for me. Over several follow-up visits, he's tweaked the programming of the "smart" hearing aids he prescribed for me and to make sure they are performing optimally. He definitely cares a great deal about his patients and puts them first.

About a week ago I’ve mistakenly used a q-tip to clean out my right ear and unfortunately pushed the wax further in to the point where I couldn’t hear that well. I could still hear, just not 100% compared to my left ear. I was hesitant using Debrox or hydrogen peroxide and I decided to go to a clinic that does ear wax cleaning. I’m so glad I chose this one! Dr. McOmie was understanding and didn’t shame me for using the q-tip. He was definitely the lifesaver of the day for cleaning out my right ear. Now I can hear clearly from both ears! If you ever need to get your ear wax removed/cleaned, get it done here! It was relatively affordable too.
